Tafsir
Allah (swt) praises the Prophets who came between Zakariyya (as) and Idris (as). The moral virtues of these Prophets and their obedience to God make them an example to mankind.
When he said "descendants of Adam", he emphasized that Jesus was a human being in order to prevent Christians from calling him the son of Allah, and symbolized that they were servants created by Allah.
Allah (swt) bestowed upon them many blessings and gave each of them miracles. He sent some of them as Rasul, some as Prophet and some as both Rasul and Prophet. He gave them knowledge and wisdom.
The righteous among the descendants of Abraham and Ya'qub, whom We carried in the ark with Noah, are those who have reached the truth, that is, those who have attained high rank in the sight of Allah by giving them knowledge and wisdom and inviting people to Allah. The righteous servants of Allah are those who enter among them. Hazrat Idris 'alaihis-salâm' is a descendant of Hazrat Adam. Since all human beings perished in the flood of Noah, those who descended after him were descended from Hadrat Noah. In this respect, since Idris 'alaihis-salâm' was born before Noah, the lineage goes back to Hazrat Adam.
Ibrahim (Abraham), one of those whom we loaded on the ark with Noah, was a descendant of one of the people in the lineage of Noah (peace be upon him). The Prophets who came are from the descendants of Abraham. The descendants of Abraham are Ishmael, Isaac and Jacob. Hadrat Moses, Aaron, Zakariyya, Yahya and Jesus were also from the descendants of Jacob.
When Allah's Verses were recited, they would fall prostrate in tears. These are the people who have been blessed with Allah's great blessings and mercies, who have become Prophets, and who have attained high positions.
What is said in the video
Verse 58 of Surah Maryam has been interpreted wrongly.
Let's see how verse 58 of Surah Maryam has been wrongly interpreted.
I first read the wrong version. Verse 58: Those are the ones on whom Allah bestowed blessings, from among the prophets, of the offspring of Adam, of those We carried in the ship with Noah, of the offspring of Abraham and Israel, Jacob, and of those We brought to what is right and made distinguished; when the verses of Allah, the Most Merciful, were recited to them, they would fall in prostration, weeping. Were you able to find the mistake here? No.
There are mistakes in many places. In many places. In several places. Allah does not make anyone distinguished.
Then it becomes an attribute. This is a — well, it says 'whom We brought to what is right'. Whereas: those who reach what is right. Those who, in the face of Allah's verses, use their own will and reach what is right. Now what have we said? Those are the ones on whom Allah's — Allah bestowed blessings, from among the prophets, of the offspring of Adam, of those We carried in the ship with Noah, of the offspring of Abraham and Israel, Jacob — those who reach what is right and rise. Who rise — who reach what is right and rise. When the verses of Allah, the Most Merciful, were recited to them, they would fall in prostration weeping. What happened? It is always the person himself showing Allah Almighty his love and devotion.
Whereas on the other side, what is it? Allah Almighty has set people apart, chosen the prophets, and made some superior to others. Whereas even if Allah Almighty created prophets — those created from the first soul of the Prophet — He asks them. Do you accept being sent to your peoples as messengers? Look, again He asks. Yes, we accept, they say. I too am among the witnesses with you, He says. He confirms the word of those who gave their word. And when He creates the peoples from their souls, in proportion to the word they gave, Allah Almighty gives them characters accordingly. So that with those characters they themselves can prove what kind of person they are, the friends advance on the path of their Lord, on the path.
And they rise. It is not that Allah raises them, nor does Allah choose them. If He chose, He would have chosen me too. It's not a must that I come in this time, is it? (?) He created them all there. (?). He would have chosen me too. Yes. No one can find any deficiency in Allah.
Those are the ones on whom Allah bestowed blessings. From the prophets, of the offspring of Adam, of those We carried in the ship with Noah. Why does it mention Noah here too?
Here it says 'of the offspring of Adam'. The lineage is Adam's lineage. We (?) from Adam. The first human factory. With Eve, from Adam. Then why does it mention Noah here? He destroys all living things. He takes a pair of each living thing. Except the descendants of Adam (peace be upon him), and Noah and his wives, and except the animals' one pair each, all of them perish. After Noah it multiplies again. That is why it mentions Noah here. This part is understood. Now I read the verse once more. Those are the ones on whom Allah bestowed blessings, from the prophets, of the offspring of Adam, of those We carried with Noah in the ship, of the offspring of Abraham and Israel, Jacob, those who reach what is right and rise.
When the verses of Allah, the Most Merciful, were recited to them, they would fall in prostration, weeping. Allah Almighty praises the prophets who came between Zechariah (peace be upon him) and Idris (peace be upon him) with praise. With these prophets' moral virtues and their obedience to Allah, He shows them to people as an example.
Yes.
Its saying 'of the offspring of Adam' emphasized, to prevent the Christians from calling Jesus (peace be upon him) the son of Allah, that they too were human, and signified that they are servants created by Allah.
Allah Almighty granted them many blessings. He gave each of them miracles of their own. Some of them He sent as Rasul, some as nabi, and some as both Rasul and nabi. He gave them knowledge and wisdom. Of those We carried with Noah in the ship, of the offspring of Abraham and Jacob, who reach what is right — that is, by being given knowledge and wisdom, and by inviting people to Allah, they are those who attained high ranks in Allah's sight. It is a high rank. They are those who entered among Allah's sincere servants. Idris (peace be upon him), in terms of lineage, is of the offspring of Adam; it means of the offspring of Adam.
When all people perished in Noah's flood, those who multiplied afterwards descend from Noah. In this respect, since Idris (peace be upon him) came into the world before Noah, his lineage goes back to Adam. Of those We loaded onto the ship with Noah — that is, Abraham is of the offspring of one of the persons in the line of Noah (peace be upon him). The prophets who came are of Abraham's offspring. Those of Abraham's offspring are Ishmael, Isaac and Jacob (peace be upon them). Moses, Aaron, Zechariah, John and Jesus (peace be upon them), too, are of Jacob's offspring. When Allah's verses were recited, these would fall in prostration, weeping.
These people who yearned for Allah, attaining Allah's great blessings and mercies, are those honored with prophethood who attained high ranks.
Yes.
