When they (the blasphemers) see it (the hell) from a distant place, they will hear its fury and its roar.
Tafsir
Those who are unbelievers and polytheists, those who have any ideology other than Islam, or those who seek a religion for themselves and go to the Hereafter as disbelievers, these are the ones who will go to Hell with their hands tied around their necks, and they will hear the fire of Hell boiling from a distant place.
When those who have passed on to the Hereafter as disbelievers hear the sound of Hell, their eyes will resemble the blue of the sky and their hearts will be shaken with fear. Then they realize that Allah's promise is true, that the resurrection after death is true, that the Prophets who came to this world are true, that Allah's Word sent to mankind is true. When they are heading towards Hell, from which there is no return, from which there is torment ahead of them, they realize that there is no salvation. That is when they wish for their destruction, that is, their death.
What is said in the video
To verse 12 of Surah Al-Furqan we have come. "They" — who are they? The unbelievers. "When the unbelievers see hell from a distant place,
they hear its raging — the boiling of hell and its violent sound," He says. From a distant place.
this distant place — since He says everyone will see hell, while they are coming, they will say (?). We will hear it too. So from this hell — it must be verse 42 of Surah Al-Baqarah, let me look, let me look. What does it say in verse 42? "Knowingly, do not mix truth with falsehood, do not conceal the truth." It's not here; it's in another place too, to the — "from beside hell" — it should be An-Nazi'at 23, sir. Surah An-Nazi'at, verse 23 it should be. It should be verse 23 of Surah An-Nazi'at. Let me look at it. He makes a very fine statement there. Let's look at it.
Yes.
No, here it doesn't have that; rather it says this: "Everyone will surely pass near hell." That is, will pass by there. And they make this pass through the inside of hell. Making it pass through hell, they put the Prophet into hell too. Then, since the Prophet of course won't burn in hell, for him they invent a smokeless, flameless fire. Some invent caves. They make them pass through there. Well, in this way they distort the verses. Hodja, Surah Maryam, verse 71. Which? Surah Maryam, verse 71. Surah Maryam. In Surah Maryam. let's look, let's look at verse seventy-one in Surah Maryam.
Verse seventy-one. Look, here it is. "There is none of you who will not stop by there. This is a decree made binding by your Lord." Here. Now in this phrase, "There is none of you who will not stop by there": Stopping by is one thing.
Passing through its inside is another. Say I'm going to cross from here to the vehicle opposite. From the street opposite. I pass from here to here by stopping by. Is there an obligation to go inside it? But what do they say? "Everyone will pass through its inside." And what do they say here? "According to one narration, every person, good or bad, will stop by hell," it says. Look. Whereas it's not "every person, good or bad". All people, all people will, at hell, stop by and pass on. So what does it say? (?) there is none who will not stop by there. Now if there is no one, how is it written here?
"According to one narration, every person, good or bad, will stop by hell," it says. What does that mean? Everyone. (?) people. "But," it says, "Allah will not burn the good." As they reckon it. "Allah will not burn the good. He will save them from there." "According to a hadith narrated by Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), the believers in Paradise will first stop by hell, but in hell the fire of the places they pass will go out," it says. Well, "according to another narration, the believers destined for Paradise stopping by hell consists only of crossing the Sirat," it says. And there is no Sirat anyway. Make it up, make it up, and say it.
Well, when someone says, "Hodja, is yours the right one?", now — he reports it; take it from the one who sees. Isn't it? Not from the postman. You take it from the one who sees. And if the one who sees doesn't prove it to you from the verses, he too is making it up. Now we have proven with 67 verses that the "sırat-ı kerim", the Sirat bridge, does not exist. They take 67 verses. We proved it. The very first proof: Allah Almighty in His verse — I'll tell you the first verse. When we gather before Allah Almighty at the Great Court, "Today, without anyone being wronged, everyone will be given what they earned, the return of their own two hands," He says.
Right? Well, how is this no injustice — while passing I fell into Paradise, into hell I fell, I passed there through blazing fires. "No, the believer's light put it out." The believer's light, the Muslim's light will put it out. How will it put it out? Let me tell you that too. They always mix these up. They mix them up because they don't see the truth. When his account is settled before Allah Almighty, his account — if his sins are more, to suffer for his sins he will enter hell. When he approaches the fire, then, in a figurative sense, it will say: "His light is putting me out. Take him away from me." Figuratively. That is, even if that light of Islam enters hell, since it is the light of Islam — he is only a sinner.
The fire of hell will not burn him. Is there a verse? There is. Here you go — Surah Al Imran, verse 131, is it? Let's see what you say there. Surah Al Imran, first, verse 131 — let's say it. Well, here we're getting there. Going along with verses like this is good.
"For the unbelievers has the fire been prepared; beware (?)." For whom? Prepared for the unbelievers. So it has not been prepared for the Muslim. Beware of the fire (?). So the Muslim who, with the light of the testimony of faith, has passed into the hereafter but has more sins than good deeds will surely go to hell in the face of our Lord's justice. He will stay in hell as long as his sins warrant, but the fire will not be able to burn him. Because fire cannot burn Allah's light.
Yes.
In Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 24, it proves the same thing.
"When they, the unbelievers, see hell from a distant place, its raging, the boiling of hell and its violence, its violent sound, they hear," He says.
So people bring this up, based on this. They make people pass through hell. Whereas Allah Almighty, without anyone being wronged, after settling everyone's account, when He sends the people of hell to hell, He says: "Their eyes will pop out, like sky blue. They will throw themselves face down on the ground," He says. "And We will call the keepers of hell. We will have them seized by the scruff of their necks and thrown in through a narrow gate of hell," He says. Yes. So he can't cross the bridge, Hodja. He can't cross the bridge. There is no bridge, after all. Hodja, may I also say something about this verse?
"My Lord, why have You raised us blind? In the world we could see" — there's that verse, Hodja, Taha 124. They explain that one too — "the unbelievers, they will not be able to see their Lord", that's how they interpret it, Hodja. Here the verse shows that they do see. The unbelievers do see. Now, besides that, look, let me tell you this here.
(?) Surah As-Sajdah, verse twelve. "When those sinners, before their Lord, will hang their heads: 'Our Lord, we have seen, we have heard. Now send us back to the world and let us do good deeds. Now we firmly believe' — if only you could see the time they will say this," He says. By Allah, the verse overturns it — Surah As-Sajdah, verse twelve. So their saying "in the world we used to see, now we don't see" is again their searching for the Lord of their own imagination, and those idols they worshipped being imagined — "we used to consult with them. Now we don't see them," he says. Whereas, He says, what they worshipped became illusion and vanished.
"We will call them," He says. "We will call them." They will say: "We had no knowledge that these were worshipping us," it will say. And it will move away from them and go. That's what the verses mean. They always support each other anyway. Not within that (?) understanding of theirs.
Yes. How beautifully my Lord has linked the verses to one another. "If this were a human fabrication, I would find many contradictions in it that don't agree with each other," as it says. But when a person makes things up by his own reasoning, when he explains the verses, they don't agree with each other; lots of words come out.
But the scholars our Lord has raised — they cannot find a word that contradicts another in it.
Those who pass into the hereafter as unbelievers, when they hear this violent and terrifying sound of hell, their eyes from fear (?) like sky blue. And their hearts are turned upside down. So they understand that Allah's promise is true, that resurrection after death is true, that the prophets who came to the world are true, that the word Allah Almighty sent to people is true. When they go toward hell, with no return and punishment before them, they also understand that there is no escape from there. Then they wish for their destruction, that is, their death. "O destruction, where are you?" he will say.
That is: "Death, where are you?" But there is no death, you see. Death was upon bodies. There is no death for spirits. If spirits were mortal, the thought "Was our Lord perhaps mortal too?" would come to our mind. So the spirit is not Gabriel. That's how it is. Küllü ruh is Allah Almighty. Whoever calls Gabriel the spirit denies the verse. Which verse? "We created the angels from light," He says. He denies this verse. Yes. So be wise. Don't believe what (?) say. Let them prove it with verses. I prove it. And I say it: whoever calls Gabriel the spirit, or calls the spirit Gabriel, denies the verse, I say.
You say the opposite. Why? Why does he deny it? Because Allah Almighty created the angels from light. How do you know? Because the angels were created from light. Our Lord says so. And those angels — Gabriel, Michael, Israfil, Azrael — are the prophets of the angels, their great ones. "Whatever you are, We send a prophet of your kind," He says. According to this verse, Gabriel being of light, created from light, and since He sends a prophet of whatever kind we are, because we are human, the Prophet — from humans, or rather from many humans — prophets have come. Yes. In this case, whoever calls light "spirit", if he says it unknowingly, becomes a sinner.
If he says it knowingly, deliberately, he becomes an unbeliever. That's how definitively I say it.
Can you find anyone else in the world who speaks on this verse like me?
Yes. The verses in a series. We prove with verses. So those who say "I did a doctorate, I am — let me tell you, sir — a scholar, I have a diploma, I have this, I have that" and occupy certain positions need to know their own helplessness.
If they truly live Islam, this hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him) there is no one who has not heard. "If knowledge is in China, go and get it," he says.
That is, no matter how far away knowledge is — China was far away then. "Get it from there," he says. Well, knowledge has come to your feet, so take it. No.
The nafs, pride and arrogance ruin people.
