The order of your Lord descends. Everything in front of you, behind you and between the two belongs to Allah. Your Lord is not forgetful.
Tafsir
According to a narration, unbelievers asked questions to the Prophet (SAW). The Prophet (PBUH) remained silent in the face of these questions and waited for Allah (swt) to answer them through revelation. When the revelation was delayed, the polytheists said that Muhammad's Allah had forgotten Muhammad. Allah (swt) then sent this verse.
There are many narrations on this verse. In fact, the narrations are just guesses. The name is a rumor. In other words, it means that the exact truth is unknown, maybe it is like this.
They asked the Prophet (SAW) about Ashab al-Kahf, Zulqarnayn and the soul. The Prophet (SAW) then fell silent and waited for the revelation to come to him. The revelation was delayed for forty or fifty days. As a result of this delay, the polytheists said that Muhammad had forgotten Allah, which upset the Prophet (PBUH).
Allah (swt) revealed this verse in order to appease the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.), Habib-i Kibriya Hatemul Anbiya.
Allah (swt) will surely complete His command. In this respect, Allah does not forget His Prophet, not even the particles He has created. That is why Allah is the Giver of life to His creation. Neither slumber nor sleep can keep Allah. He is Hay. His creatures come to life with Allah. That is why all the worlds remember Allah, who has no existence other than His Essence.
What is said in the video
Yes, here a verse has been interpreted wrongly, of Surah Maryam verse 64, this hadith. Give me that, the verse from below, give it to me from below.
Surah Maryam.
Let us see where the wrong part is. Maryam Surah, verse 64: We descend only by the command of your Lord, it says; I mean, I am reading the wrong one now here.
We descend only by the command of your Lord.
Whatever is before us, behind us and between these belongs to Him. Your Lord is not forgetful, it says.
Let me read the wrong one once more. Does any meaning come out of this?
We descend only by the command of your Lord. Who are these? The angels who descend by your Lord's command, right? That is the meaning that comes here. Pay attention now. Your Lord's; we descend only by the command of your Lord. Before us, behind us; that is, now before and behind the angels, and between these, everything belongs to Him. Everything before and behind the angels belongs to Him. Your Lord is not forgetful. So then He is commanding the angels. That is the meaning that comes out here.
Here Allah Almighty is addressing the worlds. Whereas, look, here: The command of your Lord descends. The command of your Lord descends. What does it say here? We descend only by the command of your Lord, it says. There is no meaning. But the command of your Lord descends. With what? With verses. With the Quran. The command of your Lord descends. Whatever is before you, behind you and between these belongs to Him. Your Lord is not forgetful. Look, the address here is to people. The angels have nothing to do with it. The angels have nothing to do with it. He is addressing us. He takes us as His addressees.
The Quran did not go to the angels, did it? The Quran came down to mankind. Allah Almighty made man the addressee of His essence. In this case, when the Quran says "the worlds", it addresses man, taking man as addressee; and finally, when He sent the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace be upon him), to the world, He sends the whole of the Quran to the Prophet. So before humans, six groups came and went in the world. The seventh is humans. The Quran did not come to these six groups. It came to the seventh, to humans. Allah Almighty created beings according to the formation of the world.
In this case, when the world became suitable for human life, He sends Adam to the world, together with our mother Eve. And finally, to mankind, in a way they would understand, He sends prophets and messengers one after another. He sends prophets. And finally, of these prophets, Moses, David and Jesus (peace be upon them), with what was given to them, the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel, and with the Prophet's coming into the world as the Seal of the Prophets, completing the Holy Quran, that is, by sending the whole of the Holy Quran to the Prophet (peace be upon him), He makes mankind the addressee of His essence.
In this case the angels have nothing to do with it.
Yes. We descend only by the command of your Lord, it says. There is no such thing. But the command of your Lord descends. To whom is the verse? To people, to the worlds; to the worlds the command of your Lord descends. Whatever is before you, behind you and between these belongs to Him. Your Lord is not forgetful.
On one occasion the Prophet, to us, when, it seems, he did not receive the answer to a question asked for a long time, the Prophet is saddened, wondering whether his Lord has forgotten him. And this verse comes accordingly.
What do they say?
When the answer to the question asked did not come, the polytheists, the non-Muslims, said: Allah has forgotten Muhammad. The Prophet does not say "He forgot me"; it is the non-Muslims who say this. Yes. Let us read the verse once more, then explain this. The command of your Lord descends; whatever is before you, behind you and between these belongs to Him. Your Lord is not forgetful.
This verse has another counterpart.
Every soul shall taste death; the inheritance of the heavens and the earth will remain with Allah. So, before me, behind me; that is, before me a life I will live and Paradise, let us say. Behind me a life I have lived, and worlds, all the worlds, all of it belongs to Allah. That is it: before you, behind you, it says. And everything between these belongs to Him, belongs to Allah. Your Lord is not forgetful. There is one more verse. It supports this again. Or do you own a seed of your world, it says. If that were so, you would be given nothing of its (?), it says. That is, all beings belong to Allah.
Every soul shall taste death, and finally the inheritance of the heavens and the earth will remain with Allah, it says. And you will be returned to Allah, it says. Yes. According to one narration, unbelievers, to the Prophet (peace be upon him), put questions. And the Prophet (peace be upon him), faced with these questions, kept silent and waited for the answer to the questions through revelation from Allah Almighty. When the revelation was delayed, the polytheists: Muhammad's Allah has forgotten Muhammad, they said. Upon this, Allah Almighty this verse sent down.
There are many narrations about this verse. In fact, narrations are nothing but conjecture. For example, Hakan might tell a narration: I heard it like this. He tells what was heard, expanding on it by his own reasoning: a narration. In fact it may well be far from the original. Another perceives a narration differently, in his own way. Just as in hadiths: "in one narration it says this, in another it says that"; people say this according to their own perceptions. In fact, verses cannot be narrations, and hadiths cannot be narrations either. Either you give its translation exactly, its translation.
Or, if you know, you state its exact equivalent, if you know. How will you know? Who will know this? The people of whom He says "when We give someone knowledge, We give him wisdom" know.
Who knows, then? When We give a person knowledge, to him, along with that knowledge, We also give wisdom, He says. What is wisdom? The power of loving the meaning of that knowledge. The power of making it known to him through inspiration. And most people do not know inspiration, He says. What deep matters. Leave this now. We are explaining. Yes. There are many narrations about this verse. In fact, we said, narrations are nothing but conjecture. As the name says, a narration; that is, its truth not fully known, "maybe it is like this" is its meaning. To the Prophet (peace be upon him), about the People of the Cave, Dhul-Qarnayn and the spirit, they put questions.
Upon this, the Prophet (peace be upon him) kept silent and waited for revelation to come to him. The revelation was delayed about forty or fifty days. But forty days is a very strong likelihood, in fact it being one day less than 40 is very likely. 39 it must be. And why do I say this? Moses spent 40 nights on Mount Sinai. Because he is above Moses; the prophets are ranked by degree. So he would have waited 39 days. More restricted. I mean, we derive this from here as knowledge. In the narration they say 40 to 50 days. Yes. We continue. This is not important. The aim is the essence of the matter.
The revelation was delayed about 40 or 50 days. As a result of this delay, the polytheists saying "Muhammad's Allah has forgotten him" grieved the Prophet (peace be upon him) deeply. So Allah Almighty, to console the Beloved of the Almighty, the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace be upon him), this verse He sent down.
Allah Almighty will surely complete His command. If He is going to send us the Quran fully, completely, without anything missing, whose original is preserved in the Preserved Tablet, He says; after that, neither anything is added nor anything left out, He says. In this case, if He sent down the Quran together with its original on the Night of Power, on Ramadan's 27th night, on the Night of Power, let me tell you, to the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary, to the place called Qadr, then surely Allah Almighty will complete it with His verses. Yes.
To the Prophet (peace be upon him), about the People of the Cave, Dhul-Qarnayn and the spirit, they put questions. Upon this the Prophet (peace be upon him) keeps silent. He waited for revelation to come to him. The revelation was delayed about forty or fifty days. As a result of this delay, the polytheists saying "Muhammad's Allah has forgotten him" grieved the Prophet (peace be upon him). So Allah Almighty, to console the Beloved of the Almighty, the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace be upon him), this verse He sent down. Allah Almighty will surely complete His command. So, far from forgetting His Prophet, Allah does not forget even the atoms He created.
The atoms He created. Because every particle, every particle's, atoms, and the plus and minus neutron and proton within these atoms, that is, nuclei, minus and plus nuclei, by revolving around their own axis, remember Allah Almighty. Even though we do not hear it, the heavens and the earth and what is between the two know the remembrance of their Lord, it says. A verse. Yes.
So in this respect, Allah Almighty, far from forgetting His Prophet, forgetting His Prophet, does not forget even the atoms He created. That is, Allah Almighty forgetting His Prophet, God forbid; He does not even forget the atoms He created. That is why Allah Almighty is the one who gives life to what He created. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Allah. He is Al-Hayy. What is Hayy? Living. Is there another meaning? There is. He is free of the worlds. He gives life to all that He created. Yes.
Allah Almighty gives life to what He created. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Allah. He is Al-Hayy; His creations find life through Allah. That is why Allah, who subsists by none but His own essence, is remembered by all the worlds. Yes.
