Translation

We have destroyed many generations before them. Do you feel anyone of them, or do you hear a faint sound belonging to them?

Tafsir

Allah has destroyed those who did not believe in Allah and the Hereafter, those who opposed Allah, those who mocked people in places where Allah was mentioned, those who forced people to worship their idols, those who oppressed people who said Allah, and many generations who used force against those who believed in Allah. If Allah does not destroy such societies now, it is for the sake of the Prophet (PBUH). Because the Prophet is alive. He is a mercy to the worlds. That is why the destruction has been eliminated. Allah (swt) does not refrain from giving two or three calamities a year to the people who create mischief in the earth, so that people come to their senses. This is because Allah says that We inflict two or three calamities a year on such rebellious and disbelieving people.

So, after proving His existence so clearly and publicly to people, Allah (swt), by addressing the Prophet (s.a.w.), is actually addressing all people, saying, "Can you see any sign of life left behind from these destroyed tribes, or can you see any being who survived them and survived? Or can you hear a voice, even if it is faint, from underground or from a hiding place, or from someone who has a savior other than Allah and takes refuge in Him?

By giving people such examples, Allah (swt) is suggesting that people should believe in the Hereafter and be servants of Allah (swt).

What is said in the video

In verse 98 of Surah Maryam: How many generations We destroyed before them, He says. How beautifully Allah Almighty addresses time. He addresses the future. What does He say now? His address to this time. That is, His address to our time. What does He say? How many generations We destroyed before them. I mean, in this time are there none who deny Us, none who deny Allah? Isn't there the Christian world, billions of people? Right. Then what is this verse based on? How many generations We destroyed before them, before you. The people of Ad, the people of Thamud, the people of Noah, the people of Pharaoh, well, all were destroyed.

Do you sense any sign of existence from any of them, or do you hear a faint sound belonging to them, He says. All gone. Where?

To the Barzakh. They will stay where they are. Until when? Until the Hour breaks and again, with the word "Be", We, with the blowing of Israfil's trumpet, from the ground, He says, bodies will sprout again like grass, and when you come into My presence with a driver, He says. That is when our account will be settled. Now, He says, is there a faint sound from them? If those who left had come back, He says, you too might have hoped: maybe I too will come back and live. Is there, He says, do you hear, He says, a sound from those who left? How beautifully He says it. Those who do not believe in Allah and the hereafter, those who oppose Allah, those who mock people where Allah is mentioned, and those who, forcing people to worship the idols they worship, oppressed people who say "Allah", who used force on those who believe in Allah: many generations, generations Allah has destroyed.

Now, if Allah does not destroy such societies, it is for the sake of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Because the Prophet (peace be upon him) is alive. He is a mercy to the worlds. That is why destructions have been removed. Yes. Because He sent the Messenger of Allah as a mercy to the worlds, and Mâ erselnâke illâ rahmeten li'l-âlemîn, "and I sent you as a mercy to the worlds", because He said that: if there were destruction against this mercy, Allah would have spoken two of His words contradicting each other, (?). So He removed destructions and put calamities in their place. Calamity. No mass destruction for peoples.

There are calamities.

Now, if Allah does not destroy such societies, it is for the sake of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Because the Prophet (peace be upon him) is alive. He is a mercy to the worlds. That is why destruction has been removed. And to societies that spread corruption on earth, Allah Almighty, so that people come to their senses, does not hold back from giving two or three calamities a year. Because Allah says: To such rebellious, unbelieving peoples We give two or three calamities a year. So after Allah Almighty has proven His existence to people this clearly and openly, addressing the Prophet (peace be upon him), but in fact with His address to all people: from these destroyed peoples, any remaining sign of life, or a being that escaped them and stayed alive, can you see? Or from them, even a faint one, from underground or from a place where one hid, or from one who had a savior other than Allah and took refuge in him, a sound can you hear? This is how He addresses people.

By giving people such examples, Allah Almighty recommends that people believe in the hereafter and become servants of Allah. Yes.
