“So that We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs (Miracles)!”
Tafsir
Thus, Allah (swt) showed His Verses to Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' in order to strengthen the heart of Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' that He was behind him and that he should spread the command of Allah in the earth and that he should not be afraid of anyone while doing this mission.
Also, during the time of Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm', Pharaoh in Egypt became mad and declared himself a god. Of course, it is not possible for a human being to stand against this. By showing these miracles to Moses, Allah strengthened and empowered him spiritually to fulfill his duties.
What is said in the video
Surah Ta-Ha, verse 23.
So that We may thus show you some of Our greatest signs. Some of Our greatest signs. Why? "Some" – had He said the greatest, it would be His showing the Prophet (peace be upon him) even greater ones like this. Like what? The greater one is the sign's (?). Like what? How does He (?) the sign? What is not seen with the bare eye in this world, He shows in His own Being. This is the great one among signs. The splitting of the moon is the great one among signs. Splitting the moon in two. So, let Us show some, He says.
So that We may thus show you some of Our greatest signs.
Thus, Allah Almighty showing His signs to Moses (peace be upon him) is to show that He stands behind Moses (peace be upon him), so that he spreads Allah's command on earth and fears no one while doing this duty, in order to strengthen the heart of Moses (peace be upon him). Pay attention. I too am on the same path. I fear no one. No one at all. I stand with the truth. And I constantly defend the truth, and I announce it to the world. There are superstitions in the Quran – in the translation. In the translation of the Quran they have ascribed attributes to Allah with superstitions. If I did not trust my Lord, if my Lord were not behind me, if this knowledge were not in me, one could not stand up to such people who have done doctorates, whose Arabic is strong, who are, well, ambitious.
Could you stand up to them? Impossible. Yes.
We went as far as the places we needed to. I'm not just telling this from where I sit here.
And we stood before them too. But we got no result. The more they cover it up, cover it with ashes, the more they remain in their places as conservatives. Because in our time people's aim is to spread the religion – not that,
but to keep their position and earn their worldly gain. Yes. In this respect, this decline of Islam comes about by people living unaware of one another, breaking the bonds of brotherhood, in hostility toward one another, well, harboring hostility. If a person knew the truth, if, before the existence of Allah, he put the love of his Lord and his Prophet into his heart, would these people harbor hostility toward one another? Yes.
Moreover, in the time of Moses (peace be upon him), Pharaoh in Egypt had transgressed and declared himself a god. For these people to stand against this was surely not possible. Allah Almighty's showing these miracles to Moses (peace be upon him), so that he would fulfil the duties He would give him, is to spiritually support Moses (peace be upon him) and strengthen him. Yes.
