“You and your brother shall bring together My verses. Do not neglect (reciting My Name) mentioning Me.”
Tafsir
When Allah (swt) entrusted Prophethood to Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm', Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' made some requests of Allah (swt). One of them was that his brother Harun 'alaihis-salâm' be given to him as a helper. Allah (swt) accepted the wishes of Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm'.
That Allah's command was made known to Pharaoh when he said, "Go, you and your brother, and take away My Verses". He commanded that Pharaoh, who claimed to be a deity, should be informed that he was a servant of Allah. In addition, another meaning of the verses is that Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' showed the miracles of Allah against the magic of Pharaoh's magicians. It is to remove the magic and make the right prevail. In this respect, he says, "Take My signs, that is, My miracles, and show them to them.
What is said in the video
Ta-Ha Surah, verse 42. "You and your brother, take My signs together and do not neglect remembering Me." Here the signs stand both for making known Allah's word and for miracles. When Allah Almighty conveyed prophethood to Moses (peace be upon him), Moses (peace be upon him) made some requests of Allah Almighty. One of these was that his brother Aaron (peace be upon him) be given to him as a helper. And Allah Almighty accepted the requests of Moses (peace be upon him). So when He says, "You and your brother, go, take My signs," He commands that Allah's command be made known to Pharaoh, and that Pharaoh, who claimed divinity, be told that he too is a servant of Allah — that is what He commands.
Another meaning of the signs is that, against the magic Pharaoh's magicians would show, Moses (peace be upon him) would show Allah's miracles. That by removing the magic, he would make the truth prevail. In this respect, "Take My signs, that is, My miracles, and show them to them," He commands. Alhamdulillah.
