Upon this, the sorcerers prostrated. They said, “We believed in the Lord of Aaron and Moses.”
Tafsir
When they saw these miracles, the magicians realized that Allah exists and that Hazrat Moses and Hazrat Harun were Prophets appointed by Allah. Because they knew that the magic they had practiced was not stronger and that this magic could only be surpassed by Allah, the Truth, the magicians believed and prostrated themselves before the miracles shown by Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' and Hazrat Harun 'alaihis-salâm'. They said, 'We have believed in the Lord of Aaron and Moses.
When the magicians do magic, they do it believing in the existence of Allah and misusing the Verses of Allah. The magicians, who knew that there was no magic superior to the magic they had practiced, came to faith because they realized that what Moses 'alaihis-salâm' had shown them was a miracle when the magic they had practiced was broken.
What is said in the video
We have come to verse 70 of Surah Ta-Ha.
Thereupon the magicians fell down in prostration. They said, "We have believed in the Lord of Aaron and Moses." Because above the greatest magic there can only be the truth. It is the word of the Truth. They know this too. In this situation, when their own magic came to nothing, at once falling down in prostration, what do the magicians say? "We have believed in the Lord of Aaron and Moses," they say. Faced with these miracles, the magicians grasped that Allah Almighty exists and that Moses and Aaron (peace be upon him) were prophets tasked by Allah — this they understood. Because there was nothing stronger than the magic they had made, and they knew that anything above this magic could only come from Allah, who is the Truth, the magicians, in the face of the miracles shown by Moses (peace be upon him) and Aaron (peace be upon him), came to faith and fell down in prostration.
They said, "We have believed in the Lord of Aaron and Moses." When magicians do magic, they do it believing in Allah's existence and misusing Allah's verses. Since they knew this, the magicians, who knew there was no magic superior to the magic they had made, understood, when their magic was broken, that what Moses (peace be upon him) brought was a miracle, and so they came to faith.
These magicians, on seeing the miracles, which are the truth, fall down in prostration. But Pharaoh says: "Without asking permission first, have you believed in the Lord of Aaron and Moses?" and says to them, "I will inflict a severe punishment." A severe punishment. He will cut off their hands and feet. A severe punishment. Yes.
