Translation

What is it that makes you haste to depart from your people, Oh Moses?

Tafsir

Because Allah (swt) had called Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' to the Tour within a deadline, Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' was in a hurry to go on the Tour. Allah (swt) then asked Musa 'alaihis-salâm', "What prompted you to leave your people in a hurry, O Musa!" in order to calm him down and relieve his excitement, even though Allah (swt) knew why Musa 'alaihis-salâm' was in a hurry, so that Musa 'alaihis-salâm' would come to his senses and pull himself together.

Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' was in a hurry to meet Allah (swt) as soon as possible and to speak with Allah (swt), and considering the importance of that time, he hurried for the moment when this holy meeting and miracle would take place. Who would not hurry for an event in which such a miracle will occur?

In addition, behind Hazrat Musa alayhis salaam was a crowd of people, a community of about seventy people whom he had chosen. In this regard, it was rushed in the excitement of these people to witness such an event as soon as possible.

What is said in the video

We have come to Surah Ta-Ha, verse 83. "What has made you hasten away from your people, O Moses?" it says. He is going to the meeting, you see; since Allah Almighty, within a promise He had given to Moses (peace be upon him), had called him to Mount Tur, Moses (peace be upon him) hurried to go up Mount Tur. Thereupon, that Allah Almighty, although He knew why Moses (peace be upon him) was hurrying, in order to calm Moses (peace be upon him) and settle his excitement, asked Moses (peace be upon him), "What has made you hasten away from your people, O Moses?" — this was so that Moses (peace be upon him) would come to his senses and pull himself together.

That is, a (?) state arises in a person. In such situations. A person thinks he is himself; his reason is in place. But he is not himself. He has become fixated on something, and in that fixation he does not know what he is doing. For example, when he saw it in that fiery state, Allah Almighty (?) — when in him a (?) state appeared, to bring him back to himself, Allah Almighty said: "What is that in your hand, O Moses?" When he remembered the staff in his hand — that is what He is telling him. Moses (peace be upon him), to meet Allah Almighty as soon as possible, with the excitement of speaking with Allah and thinking of the importance of that time, for the moment when this holy meeting and the miracle would take place, hurried.

Who would not hurry toward an event in which such a miracle would appear, we have said.

Also, behind Moses (peace be upon him) there was a group of about 70 people he had chosen — a crowd, a community. So, in the excitement that these people too should witness such an event as soon as possible, there was hurrying.
