Translation

Verily, Aaron had told them before, “Oh my people! You have gone into mischief only because of this. Verily, your Lord is Rahman (Allah the Merciful), so follow me and obey my order.”

Tafsir

When Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' was fasting and worshipping until the day promised to him by Allah in the Tour, his people were misled and led astray by Samiri. In the face of this situation, Hadrat Harun addressed his people and said, "O my people! Even though he said, "I am a deputy of Moses (peace be upon him) to you, do not go out of my command, you have fallen into sedition because of this calf, whereas your Lord is Allah, the Most Merciful," his people did not listen to Hazrat Harun (peace be upon him) and did not stop worshipping the calf until Hazrat Moses (peace be upon him) returned to their midst.

What is said in the video

Surah Ta-Ha, verse 90 – we have come to it. Indeed Aaron had said to them before: O my people, you have only been put to trial by this. Your Lord is surely Allah, the Most Merciful. So follow the command and obey, Aaron says to them. While Moses (peace be upon him) on Tur, until the day Allah had promised him, was fasting and worshipping, the people of Moses (peace be upon him) had been led into trial by Samiri and taken off the right path. In this situation, Aaron (peace be upon him), addressing his people: O my people, in the place of Moses (peace be upon him), I am his deputy towards you. Do not step outside my command; you have fallen into trial because of this calf.

Yet your Lord is Allah, the Most Merciful. Although he said this, his people did not listen to Aaron (peace be upon him), and until Moses (peace be upon him) returned among them, from worshipping this calf they did not desist. Yes. May Allah grant people a good mind, a good mind, yes. Without a good mind, without a good mind, yes, a person goes astray like this. A good mind a person himself, himself, according to the verse of Allah Almighty, must use. What does Allah Almighty say? Do you not use your reason at all? Do you not reflect at all? He says. So Allah Almighty gave people reason, but as long as people are incapable of reflection and of using it, they fall into such error and misguidance.
