Translation

On that Day, the oppressor will bite his fingers and say, “if I only had adopted a path with the Prophet.”

Tafsir

On that Day, on the Day of Reckoning, the people who were unjust to their souls will bite their fingers and say: "If only we had followed the Prophet who called us to the Truth and followed the way he showed us! But when it is too late, when they realize that they will be called to account in a world from which there is no return, their regrets will not benefit them.

They also bite their fingers because they understand the calamity that will befall them. This calamity is not like the calamities of the world, such as the destruction of your house, the calamities of floods and earthquakes, or the calamities of fire. This calamity is the calamity of the torture of your own life and existence and the calamity of being thrown into a strong fire.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-Furqan, verse 27. On that day, that is, at the Supreme Court, on the Day of Reckoning, on that day the wrongdoer will bite his hands in regret and say: "If only I had taken a path together with that Prophet." But now he does not say this from the heart. If he said it from the heart he would attain perfection, the nafs would attain perfection. Since he does not say it from the heart, just as in the world, too, the hypocrites appear as Muslims, and when they go to their own partisans, "We are mocking them," they say. "We are with you," they say. In that case, well, they mislead people. But a person, again taking on his own condition as it was in the world, wants to play the same game in the Hereafter too, and thinks he will deceive Allah.

Yes. On that day, the Day of Reckoning, people who were unjust to their own selves, on that day when their regret is of no use to them, biting their fingers, will say: "If only we had followed that Prophet who called us to the Truth, and on the path he showed us they will go." But now it is too late; in a realm (?), when they realize they will be called to account, their regret will be of no benefit to them. Because Allah Almighty says, as long as those characters are in them: "Even if We sent you back to the world not once but several times, you would do the same thing again." Moreover, they bite their fingers because they understand the disaster that will befall them.

This disaster is not a disaster like those of the world, such as one's house collapsing, floods and earthquakes or fires. This disaster is the torment inflicted on one's own life and being, and of being thrown into a fierce fire; that is the disaster. May Allah protect us from such an end. Amen.
