Tafsir
By declaring that the world will be created flat like a tray in the Hereafter, Allah (swt) states that there will be no ups and downs with this creation of the world. Allah (swt) explains in the next verse that the world will be created in this way in the Hereafter.
Some commentators have mentioned that the flattening of the mountains will occur in the world before the Day of Judgment, by the power of Allah (swt). Indeed, Allah is omnipotent. Allah's will and His word are true. But it is not possible for this to happen on earth. Because when Allah crumbled the mountains and threw them away, the order of the world was disrupted and the apocalypse was over. The world started throwing out its contents. There is no way He can stop this order and show it to people again. Therefore, the state of the world in the Hereafter is the state of the mountains when they are empty and flat, with no descent or ascent. The following verse proves that this event takes place in the Hereafter.

Surah Ta-Ha, verse 107. There you will see neither a dip nor a slope, it says. The verse after it supports this. By stating that in the hereafter the world will be created flat as a tray, it states that with this creation of the world there are no dips and slopes. True, Allah is capable of everything. By Allah's will, His word is true. But it is not possible for this to happen in this world. Because when Allah crumbles the mountains and scatters them like carded cotton, the order of the world has broken down; the Last Day has come. The world has begun to throw out what is inside it. Nor will He stop this order again and show it to people. Therefore, the place of the mountains being completely empty and flat, with neither a dip nor a slope — that state is the state of the world in the hereafter. We said that the verse below proves this event takes place in the hereafter.
Some commentators, when they explain the Quran through Arabic, by their own minds, because they have no knowledge of the Quran, in this way they themselves pass judgments by their own minds. Judgments. Here Allah Almighty says that in the hereafter the world is flat. Now in the previous verses it says the mountains will crumble and be scattered like carded cotton; so, before the balance of this world breaks down and it is scattered like carded cotton, the mountains first collapse and the world become completely flat? Does this make sense to you? But because of the centrifugal force from the world spinning fast around its own axis, Allah Almighty says, when the mountains pass like clouds.
Like clouds. He does not say they will become flat and pass. Pay attention. When the mountains pass like clouds. When they are scattered like carded cotton. So, you see, the mountains did not become flat in this world. Yes. When people's knowledge is lacking, with such made-up words they try to write things. But now in this verse, the proof that this description of the world is not of this world but of the hereafter.
