Translation

They said; “Is he (Muhammad) not supposed to bring a miracle from his Lord?” Did it not come to them; the clear revelations of the books from the past?

Tafsir

They said of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), if he was a Prophet, should he not have brought us a clear language? Allah (swt) says in reply to such people, "Has not the clear proof of what was in the Books that came before (the Qur'an) come to them?

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was an ummah. Although he did not read any Book, what greater miracle is there than this, since the Qur'an contains the Verses of the heavenly Books sent by Allah to the people before the Qur'an came? Is it not a miracle that Allah, the Exalted, informs us of the events of all the Prophets and the past tribes, and speaks to the people through the Qur'an, as if they were fresh and present?

What is said in the video

Surah Ta-Ha, verse 133. The verse: They, it says; who are they? The polytheists, they. Should Muhammad not have brought us a miracle from his Lord, it says. Should he not have brought a miracle from his Lord? Are you looking for a miracle? The Quran is a miracle. The Quran. Sir, they said. Has not the clear proof of what is in the earlier books, the Quran, come to them, it says. The proofs found in the earlier books, the events, the verses — has the Quran not come to them? Are they not in it? Well, did your prophet live there at that time? Or did your prophet know how to read and write, read them and write them into this book?

That's how it puts it. What does it say? Has not the clear proof of what is in the earlier books, the books, the Quran, come to them, it says? Was its clear proof not written in the Quran as evidence?

Is this not a miracle? Miracles are many, but if a person looks for excuses, does not want to believe, is pre- judiced, these are the words he will put forward.

Man is a being created noble. He is to use his reason. His reason. Reason is a great blessing for man. If a person does not use his reason, misery will not let go of him. Satan puts the yoke on his neck. He drags him into suspicions. Because the person cannot free himself from these suspicions, he lives a constantly stressful life. So we will use the blessing of reason well. How will we use our reason? When someone tells something, we will listen. We will listen. Listening is an art, a skill. Listening. If you do not know how to listen, you will know neither how to learn nor how to speak. Why? Well, you have not learned the man's intention, yet you are answering him.

Learn his intention. Or what does the man want to tell you, that you say the opposite? Or he truly wants to teach you something, but you love the opposite. In this case the blessing of reason is a person's treasure. A treasure. Use this treasure well. If you use the money in your pocket well, you become a man of worth. But if you squander this money recklessly, you become wretched. So your reason is a treasure. Yes. You will learn to listen. You will know. You will use your ability, your ability to compare. This one said it like this. And I had learned it like that. Which one is right, I wonder?

You will make a comparison within yourself. You will not just blurt it out right away. Make the comparison. If you did not understand, ask.

The question is the key to knowledge. The question. If you want to learn, ask questions.

Yes. But again I am going to criticise some people. May they forgive me. One does not ask the Hodja Efendi questions. If I do not ask the hodja, whom will I ask? From whom will I learn? From whom will I learn? These people have become captives of the feelings of the nafs, (?), have mortgaged their reason to the temptation Satan will give, with the feelings of the nafs. With the feelings of the nafs. And these, out of pride and arrogance, so that they are not shown to be wrong, so that they can show themselves to people as scholars, as ulema, and so that they are not embarrassed in front of people, say: one does not ask the hodja questions. Friends, ask.

Ask whatever you like. If I do not know, I will say: friend, my knowledge goes this far.

That is a scholar. Or: let me look into it and then tell you. The Prophet (peace be upon him) is a fine example for us. He would not answer everything he was asked at once. Sometimes he would wait. He would wait for revelation. Revelation.

So you will ask the question. To learn knowledge. Here too you will use your reason. Yes.

I wonder if I could explain it? About the Prophet (peace be upon him) they said: If Muhammad is a prophet, should he not have brought us a clear proof? Thereupon Allah Almighty, answering such people, says: Has not the clear proof of what is in the earlier books, the clear proof, the proof, the Quran, come to them? Indeed, Muhammad lived neither in the time of Moses nor in the time of Jesus. Nor did he live in the time of David. He did not live in the times of the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel. Where? He did not live in the world.

Let us complete our words. He did not live in the world. Otherwise (?).

Ve mâ erselnâke illâ rahmeten li'l-âlemîn. He has come as a mercy to the worlds. When I say worlds, I do not mean only this world. I mean both worlds. Both the outward and the inward world. Just as Allah Almighty says — I am the First and the Last, the Outward and the Inward — and so both Owner of the outward worlds and Owner of the inward worlds; since, then, from the Prophet's light these worlds were created; since, before these worlds were created, he was alive in the other world; if Allah Almighty gave him a spirit from His own Being, and from his spirit the spirits of the prophets, and from their spirits the spirits of the peoples were created; if, before the earthly world came, in the world of Lahut, with the address Elestü bi Rabbiküm, saying I am your Lord, He made a covenant with them — that is one of the two worlds.

Yes. In this case:

Since the Prophet did not live in the time of Moses, David and Jesus in the earthly world — but since he did not come to the earthly world and live then — he knows, from the world of the hereafter, certain events in the earthly world. How do you know? The Quran says it. It (?). You had seen that place from this world, after all. Now remember that place, it says. Remember, then. Yes. In this case, with the Prophet's displaying the Noble Quran to people and explaining it, the Torah given to Moses, the Psalms given to David (peace be upon him), the Gospel given to Jesus (peace be upon him). If the words in them are present in the Noble Quran, are you still looking for a miracle for his prophethood?

Do you want a miracle? He has many more miracles, but this much is enough, it says. It continues. Moses — the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is unlettered. Although he read no book at all, since the verses of the heavenly books that were sent to people by Allah before the Noble Quran came are found in the Noble Quran, could there be a greater miracle than this? That Allah Almighty tells of all the prophets, of the states of past peoples and the events they went through as fresh as if they had just happened, and speaks to people through the Quran — is that not a miracle?

Yes.
