None of the nations that We had destroyed before them had believed. Will these now believe?
Tafsir
Allah (swt) created the souls of human beings in the realm of heaven. Then He made them witnesses against their own souls. He gave the will of each soul as its destiny. People's desires and wishes became their destiny.
In this case, Allah, who has made a covenant with people, knows very well what they want and what they will do. In this respect, Allah, who gave the example of the previous nations and said that no one believed among the people whom We destroyed, and now will these people believe, has said, "Will these people believe now?" because Allah, who has given them their destiny in accordance with their covenants, knows that they will not believe.
What is said in the video
Surah Al-Anbiya, verse 6: No town that We destroyed before them had believed. Will these, then, believe? says Allah Almighty. Well, those who did not believe — if Allah Almighty destroyed them, will He now destroy these too? Does it not mean that? What does it say? No town that We destroyed before them had believed. When He says "Will these, then, believe?", Allah Almighty, who knows that they will not believe, will not destroy these; He will not make them like the other peoples. The reason: because He said, I sent you as a mercy to the worlds — since that mercy to the worlds came, Allah Almighty lifted the destructions for the sake of the Prophet.
That is why He addresses them in this way. That is, those people We destroyed did not believe, so will these believe? That is, My beloved, for your sake I will pardon them. Let them talk. Let them talk. Surely every soul shall taste death. Their return is to Me. Then We shall settle their account. But there is no more destruction, He says. For your sake. Yes. Allah Almighty created people's spirits in the realm of Lahut. Then He made them witnesses over their own selves. He gave each spirit its wish as its destiny. People's desires and wants became their destinies. So Allah, who made a covenant with people, knows very well what these people want, what they will do.
Therefore, giving an example from earlier communities — no one from those peoples We destroyed had believed either; will these, then, believe? — His saying this: these people too, in line with the covenants they gave — Allah, who gives them their own wishes as destiny, knowing that they will not believe: will these, then, believe? He said.
