Vow to that; We have sent down a Book for you in which there is advice for you. Will you not contemplate?
Tafsir
Allah (swears by His Name) that He has sent down the Holy Qur'an, in which people are given advice, which saves them from oppression and guides them, which brings them out of darkness into light, which contains all kinds of examples, and which appeals to people's minds.
His appeal to the human intellect is because He has created the human intellect to know His Essence. However, if man is subject to his nafs and shaytan and does not use his intellect, he does not want to return to Allah (swt). The human intellect is a perceiver of the truth. But the nafs (ego) pleases man and makes him subject to his pleasurable desires. In this case, it does not accept the truth shown by the intellect. However, if man can reform his nafs, he can be subject to the human intellect. Then he will act in accordance with the command of Allah (swt) and not with the desires of the nafs. In this respect, Allah (swt) is constantly addressing the intellect. Allah (swt) advises people to use their intellect so that they may find the truth with their intellect and be guided, so that they may turn towards Him.
What is said in the video
We have come to Surah Al-Anbiya, verse 10. Indeed, We have sent down to you a book in which there is admonition for you, it says. Allah swears by His own Self. That is, indeed, We have sent down to you a book in which there is admonition for you. Will you still not come to your senses, it says. That is, will you never use your mind? Will you never reflect? When so many truths, one upon another, have been spread out before you like a carpet, will you still not believe? it says. Allah Almighty, swearing by His own Self, announcing that He sent down the Noble Quran, in which people are given admonition, which saves from oppression and leads to guidance, which brings out of darkness into light, in which there are all kinds of examples, addresses people's minds.
He addresses the human mind because He created the human mind as knowing His Self. But if a person follows his nafs and Satan and does not use his mind, he does not want to return to Allah Almighty. The human mind perceives what is right. But the nafs pleases a person and makes him follow his pleasures and desires. In that case he does not accept the right that the mind shows. Only if a person can reform his nafs can he follow his mind. Then a person, not by the desires of his nafs but by the command Allah Almighty has given, acts. For this reason Allah Almighty constantly addresses the mind. So that people find what is right with their minds and attain guidance, so that people turn to His Self, Allah Almighty urges people to use their minds.
In that case, what kind of people are we?
Imagine a factory; we are the workers working in that factory.
In that case, the boss's, or that factory's manager's, or rather the boss's, all the duties he gives, his orders, if we carry them out, the boss loves us. Yes, we work, but we also do not step outside of what he says. And there are those who shirk while doing that job. Or there are those who harm the work while doing it. So in the world too, if we act by Allah's commands, Allah makes our work easy, and He loves us too. If we say a bit "Allah", a bit "yallah", what happens? We will have harmed ourselves. That is, we cannot make ourselves very beloved to our Lord. But if we turn our backs and harm Allah's religion, that is, if we go outside of it, then we suffer wrong.
