We destroyed many oppressing nations. And We established many other people after them.
Tafsir
Allah (swt) gives examples to mankind so that they may know Allah (swt), follow Allah's Shari'ah and find the Truth, so that the earth may not be destroyed. He invites people to Allah by telling what happened to the ancient tribes. Since the will is in the hands of the human being, in the realm of property where people have come for testing, people live their destiny with their own desires and wishes without Allah using any pressure and violence on people. He warns people at the end of their lives so that they will not be subjected to the punishment of Allah (swt) when they pass on to the Hereafter. In this respect, by informing people of what happened to the ancient tribes, He explains that His Essence exists and that He is eternal and everlasting by bringing examples in a way that every human being can understand.
This is how the past people of the past were tormented for their disbelief in Allah, for their excessive behavior in the earth, for their associating partners with Allah, for their denying and killing their Prophets, and how Allah destroyed them and eradicated them from the face of the earth. By declaring how they were destroyed by a shout, or by a shower of stones, or by the overthrow of towns, Allah shows His omnipotence and how He brings new people in their place.
What is said in the video
We have come to Surah Al-Anbiya, verse 11. How many unjust towns We have shattered, it says. How many unjust towns We have shattered. And after them We brought into being many other communities, it says. Yes. That is, by destroying people on earth, would Allah leave their place empty? Our Lord, who made a covenant with us in the realm of the Hereafter, after taking our covenant, raised us to the realm of Barzakh. He will bring in their place the spirit whose time has come. And because He knew what they would do, He shattered those oppressors, destroyed them. Why? So that to those who come after, the ones coming, they would not be bad examples. So that they would not lead them astray too.
But Hodja, won't a person live according to his covenant? But now, there is living one's covenant in its full sense. And there is living it restricted and evasively, by force, under pressure. So, showing the oppressors as an example to future generations, "Don't you be like this either. Look, obey your Lord, these ended up like this," showing them this was so that the coming generations, by obeying Allah, would for a long time know their Lord. Just as He destroyed Pharaoh: today, it says, your lifeless body, as a lesson for the worlds, We will save, it says, and even though the non-Muslim, the Englishman, does not believe, he searches for it and finds it.
Look, on my phone, he was lying in prostration. Lying in prostration. They laid him on his side so that people would not see the prostration position.
Look, let me hold it up here. Like this. Here like this they laid him on his side, here. Now isn't this our Lord's promise? Today, it says, your lifeless body, your lifeless body I will leave as an example, a lesson for the worlds, it says. How many
unjust towns We have shattered, and after them We brought into being many other communities.
Allah Almighty, so that people do not drown the earth in corruption and that they know Allah, follow Allah's Sharia and find the truth, gives people examples. By telling what befell former peoples, He invites people to His Self. Since partial free will is in a person's own hands, in the material realm to which people have come for the test, without Allah using any pressure or force on people, people live their destinies by their own wishes and desires. At the end of their lives, upon their passing to the Hereafter, so that they are not subjected to Allah Almighty's punishment, Allah Almighty warns people.
For this reason, by making known to people what befell former peoples, that His Self exists, that He is everlasting from pre-eternity to eternity, He explains in a way every person can understand, bringing examples. So, of the former, bygone peoples, through their denial of Allah, their excessive acts on earth, their associating partners with Allah, their denying and killing their prophets, He tells how the punishment came that befell them as a result, and how He scraped their roots off the earth. By declaring how these perished, by a blast, or a rain of stones, or their towns sinking into the ground, He decrees Allah's power over all things and how He brought new peoples in their place.
