Or? did they adopt some deities other than Allah? Say, “Bring your proofs. Here is the Book of those who are with me and the Books of the ones from before.” No! Most of them don’t know the truth and thus, they turn away.

Tafsir

Or have they taken other gods instead of Allah (swt)? Have these people taken other gods instead of Allah (swt), even though Allah (swt) has proved that there is no god but Allah (swt), with so many proofs and examples. If they have such gods, let them bring their proofs against the gods they have.

Allah (swt) said to His Messenger, "Say: 'This is the Book of those who are with me, the Qur'an, and the Book of those before me, the Qur'an! It is the four Books that came down to the Prophets before you, including the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel. That is why he says: "This is the Book of those who are with me and the Book of those who were before me". The Holy Qur'an is a miracle of Allah given to our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a confirmation of the Books that came before him and as a compilation of the three Books, the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel, in the Qur'an. From the time our ancestor Adam entered into a covenant with Allah (swt) in the spirit world before he was even born, to the time after our ancestor Adam came into the world, Allah (swt) has told us that Allah (swt) is the first and the last, that there is no other deity besides Allah (swt) calling out to mankind, and that all created things are mortal, By proving to us with these verses and many other verses that the people whom they have invented as gods are also mortal with the taste of death, and that there is no creature or creation equal to Allah, each of them being Allah's creations, Allah Ta'ala is making us know that He is the only God, and that there is no other God but Him.

If, in spite of such proofs, people still persist and ascribe partners to Allah or disbelieve, Allah says to them: (Nay, most of them do not know the Truth, so they turn away.) They have betrayed Allah, as they had previously betrayed Him in the covenant they made in the address (Elestu bi Rabbikum). There they denied Allah. For this, they have written their will as destiny for themselves. That is why they do not believe in Allah in this world either, and do not want to know and hear the Truth. So they turn away.

What is said in the video

We have come to Surah Al-Anbiya, verse 24. Or have they taken, besides Him, certain other gods? That is, have they taken certain gods besides Allah? Say: Come, bring your, your proofs. Here is the Book of those with me and the Book of those before me. No. Most of them do not know the truth. And so they turn away. Come, bring them their proofs. The Book before me, always the Book of (?) time. That is, identical to each other. I did not live in their time. I did not know them either. But He puts the words in their book into this Book. There is the proof. This is the proof. But they, because of this, because they denied Allah, because they could not know these, denied, He says.

Most of them do not know the truth, He says. Why? This case of not knowing the truth: at the address of Elestü bi-rabbiküm, when He said: I am your Lord, out of their pride and arrogance; since Allah Almighty gave man of His Essence, since He manifested in man with the attributes of His Essence, people, because of this likeness, saw in themselves a greatness, a pride and arrogance. So they framed Allah Almighty within their own imaginations. Look at non-Muslims today, pay attention: because of their arrogance and pride, one cannot get near them. Yes. There is that much arrogance and pride. Tell them: you are the one, and they climb on your back.

(?)

These are people who rebel against Allah. Or have they taken other gods instead of Allah Almighty? Although Allah Almighty has proven that there is no god but Him by bringing so many proofs and examples, have these people on earth come to have gods, when there is no god other than Allah? If they do have such a god, let them bring their proofs for the gods they have. I bring My proof, He says. Let them bring their proofs too. Yes. Allah Almighty says this to His Beloved: Say: Here is the Book of those with me. What is this? The Holy Quran. That is, the Holy Quran, and the Book of those before me as well.

The Quran has taken in the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel revealed to the prophets before it; it is four books, He says. Their proofs, from the books they read, are present within the Book that you have brought. Yes.

In this respect: Here is the Book of those with me and the Book of those before me, He says. The Holy Quran, confirming the books that came before it and bringing together exactly in the Quran what is in the three books, the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel, is, as given to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), a miracle of Allah. Starting from the covenant with Allah Almighty in the world of spirits, before our forefather Adam came into the world, to after our forefather Adam came into the world, with what has happened since in later times, as Allah tells it to us: that Allah Almighty is the First and the Last, that no god other than Allah has been able to call out to people, that all created things are mortal, that the people they made up as gods are also mortal, perishable as they taste death, that each of them, as Allah's creations, cannot be a living being and creation equal to Allah, a (?) living being or creation: Allah Almighty proves this to us with this verse, its words and many verses.

That His Essence is known as the one God, that there is no other god besides Him, He makes known. Even though He says in this way, let them bring Us proof, Allah Almighty is trying in this clear way to prove His Essence to people. People will not be able to say: yes, I came into the world, but You did not make Yourself known to me or prove Yourself. So, in view of people speaking this way, Allah Almighty sends down a verse. What does He say? Allah never refrains from giving the example of a mosquito or something greater, He says. What does this mean? That is, in a language that the person who thinks least, who uses his reason least, will understand, and in a language that one who uses his reason a great deal, the inventor, will also understand, We have written out in the Quran the proof of Our existence, He says.

No one can object to this. Yes.

So if people, despite so many proofs, still stubbornly associate partners with Allah or turn to denial, Allah Almighty says of them: No, most of them do not know the truth. And so they turn away. They do not know the truth; and if people had been told: here is a prophet for you, here is a Book for you; well, there is no prophet? Here are the heirs of the prophets for you, the scholars.

This is for this worldly realm: they do not know the truth. Now let us pass to the hidden world, the inner world, to the address of Elestü bi-rabbiküm: I am your Lord, He says, He proclaims, and küntüm ezvâcen, all the kinds coming from one another are three classes this time, and eshâbü'l-meymeneti mâ eshâbü'l-meymeneh: yes, You are my Lord, they say; who are these? Those of the right. And eshâbü'l- meş'emeti mâ eshâbü'l-meş'emeh: that group, who are they? Those of the left. What do they say? You are not my Lord, they say; they wait for the Lord of their own imagination; He makes Himself known, (?) He makes Himself known, and ve's-sâbikûne's-sâbikûn, and in the third group, the group of the foremost: the group of the saints, the prophets, the martyrs, the shuhada.

So what is He saying here? Although He made the truth known, although He announced it in this world and the hereafter, most of them do not know the truth. Yes.

And so they turn away. As for these: they, earlier too, at the address of Elestü bi-rabbiküm, according to the (?) they gave, betrayed Allah. No? What kind of betrayal did they commit? In His verse Allah Almighty says to the Prophet (peace be upon him): My Beloved, He says, do not mind what they say; in their time they betrayed Me too, He says. What does this mean? Although I said I am your Lord, although I explained this to you, although at that address of Elestü bi-rabbiküm I said your Lord, they turned away from Me. They betrayed Me. They did not recognize Me. They did not recognize Me as Creator.

They waited for the Lord of their own imagination. Theirs, He says, is but a little time to amuse themselves in the world. In the end all of them; all deaths, that is, souls will taste death; your return is to Me, according to that verse, in the presence of Allah Almighty they will be called to account. Yes.

There they denied Allah. That is why they had their wishes written for them as destiny. That is why they do not believe in Allah in this world either. They do not want to know and hear the truth. And so they turn away.
