On the Day of Judgment, We set up the scales and no one will suffer any injustice. Even (if a deed was) a size of a mustard seed, We will bring it (on to the scale). We are sufficient (for everyone) as judges.
Tafsir
Allah (swt) has assigned a degree for every good deed and sin. Just as in the worldly realm, every crime has an article of law to enforce punishment, so too, in the sight of Allah, every good deed and evil deed has a degree of reward. Because this world is the shadow and likeness of the Hereafter. Accordingly, in the Hereafter, Allah (swt) will hold us to account for our deeds. In return for the good deeds and sins committed in the world, they will be separated in degrees and everyone will go where they deserve to go.
The good deeds and sins of people will be collected and shown to them without any injustice to anyone. Since Allah is perfect, He does not forget the good deeds and sins people have committed (Fa man ya'mel miskâle zerratin hayran yerah. And men ya'mel miskâle zerratin sharran yerah). With the verse, every iota of good and every iota of evil will be written down and will appear before them on the Day of Judgment, the Day of Reckoning. Since Allah is just and will repay everyone for what he has earned, He says in this verse that even if they have as much good deeds and sins as a grain of mustard seed, We will bring them against them.
Allah is sufficient for all His creatures as the Reckoner. Allah is the Best Knower of His creation and is not deceived by any word or deed. All creation was created by Allah. He is the One who programmed them and knows their movements and intentions, even if it is a mote. Therefore, Allah will not need a helper on the Day of Reckoning when He will be called to account. Because all creatures other than Him are incomplete, those who would help Allah may be unjust and judge unjustly. Therefore, Allah will not discriminate among His creatures, but will repay every soul and creature for what it has earned, in full, from Himself. In this respect, Allah is sufficient as an accountant for all. Allah's power and might encompasses the universe, and He is sufficient for His creatures because He has created them under His sovereignty.
What is said in the video
In Surah Al-Anbiya, we have come to verse 47. We set up the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, it says. We set up the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection.
Here Allah Almighty is speaking of the Great Tribunal. And by the one who has no spouse and no partner, Eleysallâhu bi ahkemi'l-hâkimîn, by the Judge of judges, in whose place no one decides or can decide, you will be called to account. The scales of justice. Today, it says, without anyone being wronged, pay attention. He says this about that Great Tribunal. Without anyone being wronged, you will be given in full the return for what your two hands have earned, it says.
What does it say? You will be given the full return for what your two hands have earned, it says.
If I went into the presence of my Lord with faith, on top of the full amount there is interest. There are extras. He will increase it according to the intention. One to three, one to five, one to seven, one to seventy. Don't be afraid. Just go with faith.
If I go as an unbeliever, to the unbeliever He gives one to one. The return for what he did. He will not increase his unbelief. That is, you did this. (?) Your intention was very bad. Here, five more bad ones for you. No, He won't do that. But He will add up the evil deeds he did. They will be added up. They interpret this wrongly in the verse too. We are correcting them. He will increase, it says. He will increase. He will increase their sins. But Allah does not increase a person's sins. He adds them up against the sins they committed. Whatever it is. Without anyone being wronged, He gives them the full return for it. Isn't this world today a likeness and shadow of the hereafter?
You appear before the judge. One, you have committed theft. Whatever its penalty is. Two, you have swindled a man. Whatever its penalty is. Three, you have wounded a man. Whatever the penalty is, he adds these up and gives you one sentence, right? He adds them all up. Well, is this now an increase? He added up your sins. But those people, by twisting the words, say Allah will supposedly increase people's sins. No, He does not increase them. A person, for his own sins, as much as he himself committed, however many sins he has, will face the reckoning for them. Yes, what does it say? We set up the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection.
Then no one will be wronged in any way. Look, here.
Just as no one is wronged by Us, any situation in which anyone would wrong anyone, any such state, We do not create, says Allah Almighty. Why? Because He knows who does what. He knows who sets what ambush. He knows who plays the victim to whom, who plays dirty tricks on whom. So everyone will see their full return. Even if the deed is only as much as a mustard seed, We bring it to the scale of justice. Fe men ya'mel miskâle zerratin hayran yerah, I will record an atom's weight of his good, and men ya'mel miskâle zerratin şerran yerah, and I will also record an atom's weight of his evil, it says.
As the one who takes account, We suffice for everyone, it says. So the one who takes account, the only one authorized to call to account what He created in all the worlds, is Allah alone. When He asks for account, He needs neither a helper nor help. Yes, Allah Almighty has decreed a degree for every good deed and sin that is done. Just as in this world there is a legal article to apply the penalty for every crime, with Allah too every good and evil deed has a degree of return. Because this world is a likeness and shadow of the world of the hereafter. Accordingly, in the hereafter Allah Almighty will call us to account for what we did.
As the return for the good deeds and sins done in the world, separated degree by degree, everyone will go to the place they deserve.
Without anyone being wronged, the good deeds and sins people have done are added up and shown to them. Since Allah is perfect, He does not forget the good deeds and sins people have committed. An atom's weight of good and an atom's weight of evil are recorded and will confront them on the Day of Resurrection, that day of reckoning. Since Allah is just and will give everyone the return for what they earned, in this verse, even if their good deeds and sins are as small as a mustard seed, He brings them before them and announces it. I mean, people like us, I mean Allah Almighty, like us with small trifles: oh, let that stay as it is, let it be yours. No, that too will come to the reckoning.
You know, sometimes we say let's forgive it, we forgot it and so on, or if we are owed something we let it go, or if he owes us, or if we owe, the man says: come on, I've let you off. That doesn't exist. All of it will come out on both sides. But Hodja, the man has let me off his debt. Ah, forgiving each other is something else. It will come out there, but you gave this to him as a gift. That is different. In return for this, here is so much reward for you, it says, look. You gave a gift here, but you don't know what it is worth in return. And He gives you its return there. Yes.
As the one who takes account, Allah Almighty suffices for all His creation. Allah knows His creation best and is never deceived by any words against the deeds done. People deceive one another very nicely with words, with the tongue. Or by presenting themselves very nicely to them, by making them, the people, love them, to exploit their consciences they prepare ambushes for them. But all the games people play, Allah's door is (?), is white. They do not get in through there. So tomorrow those accounts that reach that door will come before me. If a person knew that in this world, by his Lord, with the time he reflected every moment, second by second, like a videotape from his childhood to his death, it would be shown to him like a film strip, and that for the good and evil he did he will be called to account there, he would either appear as he is or be as he appears. However a person appears among a community of people, he appears the same when he is alone.
Just as he tries to look good to people, when alone he too, to look good to Allah Almighty, by keeping up the remembrance of our Lord and His prayer and worship, tries to look good to Allah Almighty. So what does this mean? Either appear as you are, or be as you appear. Yes.
Allah has created all created beings. He is the one who programmed them and who knows, even to an atom, their movements and intentions. Therefore, while settling accounts on that day of reckoning, Allah needs no helper. Because since all created beings other than Him are deficient, those who would help Allah could commit injustice. They could judge unjustly. Therefore Allah, without discriminating among His creatures, will give every soul and living being the full return for what it earned, by Himself. Therefore, as the one who takes account, Allah suffices for everyone. Since Allah's power and might encompass the universe, and He created His creatures under His rule, He is sufficient for His creatures.
