Translation

The ones who will be gathered in the hell face down, they are the ones whose dwelling is terrible and whose path is astray.

Tafsir

The polytheists and disbelievers who deny Allah and His Prophet, or those who do not accept the religion of Islam, or those who have any ideology other than Islam, will be dragged face down into Hell when they reject Islam and go to the Hereafter as disbelievers.

These are the people who, when they hear the torment and the horrible noise of Hell from afar, when they realize the torment and torture that will be inflicted on them, they resist and throw themselves on the ground. In that case, they will be dragged face down into Hell by the angels in charge.

Such will be the state of people who disobey Allah's commands in this world. O man! Is it worth buying the torment of the Hereafter for a few hours of pleasure in this world? The torment of the Hereafter is not like the torment of this world. The torment in this world ends with your death. But there is no death in the Hereafter so that you can die and be saved. It is inconceivable that one can buy an eternal and everlasting torment in order to enjoy a moment of pleasure in this world.

So think and contemplate. Allah has created human beings very honorable, the only creatures that do not think and only eat, drink and reproduce are animals. Allah has given human beings reason and perception. Allah has given human beings emotions. He brings an example to those who do not use them. He informs us of this example with His verse. (He says, "Man is a human being by his actions, but some of his actions are even more deviant than animals. The most deviant path is the path of denying Allah and associating shirk with Him. Those who are on this path are on the worst of paths, on a deviant path. Those who are on this path are lower than animals. Because Allah has given human beings reason and left them free in their will.

Allah has programmed the animal to do what He wills. With the value He has given to man, He has left him free to exercise his will. He has given him autonomy to determine his own path. In this case, if man uses this autonomy given to him to deny Allah, who created him, and if he becomes unrecognizant of Him, if he deifies his ego and denies Allah, Allah will ask these people to account for this on the Day of Judgment, and He informs us what kind of people they are in this world with His Verses.

Those who disbelieve in Allah and the Hereafter, who rebel against Allah and disobey Him when they are incapable of anything, will surely return to Hell. It is the most perverse of paths, and the end of this path is a path that leads to Hell. This is a very bad place of return, the worst of mattresses and the most tormenting of places. May Allah protect us from such an understanding. May Allah enable us to pass from this world to the Hereafter as an ummah to His Messenger and a servant to His Glory.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-Furqan, verse 34: we have come to it.

The verse of Allah Almighty penetrates a person's heart so deeply that, Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

Those who, on their faces, will be driven and gathered into Hell, they are the ones worst in place and most astray in path, it says. And it says: those who will be driven face down into Hell and gathered – they, when they realize they will enter Hell, it says, throw themselves face down to the ground; their eyes, it says, bulge out like sky blue.

We will have them seized, it says, by their forelocks and thrown in through a narrow gate of Hell, it says. The polytheists who deny Allah and His Prophet and do not accept the religion of Islam, and the unbelievers, or those who hold any ideology outside Islam, when, not accepting Islam, they go to the Hereafter as deniers, these people will be dragged face down into Hell. As for their being dragged or driven face down into Hell: these people, when they hear Hell's torment and its terrible roar from afar, and when they realize the torment and torture to be inflicted on them, are people who resist going and throw themselves to the ground.

So, by the angels in charge, they are dragged face down and driven into Hell. This is how it will be for the people who defy Allah's commands in this world. O man! Is it worth it, for a few hours of worldly pleasure, to buy the torment of the Hereafter? The torment of the Hereafter is not like the torment of this world either. In this world, torment ends with your death. But in the Hereafter there is no more death, so that you could die and be saved. To seek an eternal, endless torment for the pleasure of one moment of this world and to buy it is not something reason can accept. So think and reflect. Allah created human beings highly honored. Creatures that do not think and only (?) produce their offspring are animals. Allah has given human beings reason and understanding.

Allah has given human beings feelings. For those who cannot use these, He also gives an example. He informs us of this example through His verse. A human is human through his deeds. Through some of his deeds he is (?) astray, He declares. And the most astray of paths is the path of denying Allah and associating partners with Him. Those on this path are on the worst of paths, a deviant path. Those on this path are even lower than animals. Because Allah has given human beings reason and left them free in their will. The animal Allah has programmed, according to His will, for the work it will do. And the human, by the value He gave him, He has left free in his partial will.

He gave him autonomy so that he determines his own path himself. So if he uses this autonomy given to man to deny Allah, who created him, and if (?), deifies his nafs and denies Allah, then Allah, just as He will call all of them, these people, to account on the Day of Resurrection, on that day of reckoning, so too in this world He makes known to us, through His verses, what kind of people they are.

So those who deny Allah and the Hereafter, while they have power over nothing, if they rebel against Allah and defy Him, surely the place of return for such people will be Hell. The end of this path, the most astray of paths, is a path leading to Hell. It is a very evil place of return, the worst of resting places, and of all places the most tormenting. May Allah protect us from such a mindset. May Allah grant that we pass from this world to the Hereafter as the community of His Beloved and as servants to Himself. Yes.
