And when We let him taste a blessing after a loss that has touched him, he says; “All hardship has vanished away from me (arrogantly)!” (while saying this) he is spoiled.
Tafsir
When Allah (swt) gives a person a blessing after a calamity, he says, "This was my right, I worked like this, I did like that. He starts to boast in his own ego, that is, he starts to boast in his own ego, that is, in an arrogance and pride towards his surroundings. He becomes spoiled in the blessings, forgets Allah, loves his wealth as if he will never die, and becomes confident that the calamities that have touched him have not touched him, and that they will never come to him again.
Such people, even if they are Islamic, are either weak in faith or distant from Allah and do not believe in Allah and the Hereafter.
What is said in the video
Surah Hud, verse 10. Allah Almighty in His verse: if after a harm that touched him We let him taste a blessing — to people, to those people who do not know themselves, those in pride and arrogance, those who turn their backs on Allah — when they suffer a harm, they (?). If after a harm that touched him We let him taste a blessing, surely he says: the evils have gone from me. The evils. For when he says this he is spoiled, arrogant, He says. Spoiled, arrogant. Yes. Allah Almighty gives people certain calamities, goods and evils. Within their destiny. He never lays on a person's back a burden he cannot bear.
He sent man into the world anyway to prove to himself what kind of person he is. Otherwise He can see what we will do in the covenant we gave in the realm of the hereafter. In that case, man's coming into the world is because Allah Almighty is free of deficient attributes. Since He created man close to His Essence, man, seeing Allah Almighty like himself, waited for the Lord of his imagination and could not believe in Allah. That He is Allah. So Allah Almighty sends people — where His Essence is not seen, not into an unseen realm — to the realm of the world, and in this realm of the world man will prove what kind of person he is.
His covenant — if he gave it with his back to Allah, that is, gave his covenant in the direction of denying Allah Almighty — then in this realm of the world, even if he worships his idols, since he knows he was created by a Lord, he takes refuge in Allah. He asks Allah for help. Again within their destinies, when they are saved from that distress, exactly as "if after a harm that touched him We let him taste a blessing, surely the evils have gone from me, he says." That is, that he resolved those evils too by his own will, he says with pride, with arrogance, with a sense of self coming over him.
Because Satan never says that he is in a test from Allah Almighty, but: you (?) these, you made an effort, you strove, and with this effort you overcame this — so he gives the person pride and arrogance. In this case the person — for when he says this, He says, he is spoiled, arrogant, He says. From this we understand: that by the person's own effort, not Allah but by his own effort, such things were lifted from him, calamities were lifted, well, he says it himself with pride, with arrogance. If Allah Almighty, after a calamity He gave a person, lets him taste a blessing, this is my right, I worked like this, I did it like that, he says.
I worked like this, I did it like this, he says. In his own nafs, with egotism, that is, with self, with arrogance toward those around, in pride he moves on to being praised.
This is in man's nafs, in his traits. As long as man cannot break these traits, he cannot draw near to Allah. This person, amid the blessing he was given to taste, grows spoiled, forgets Allah, as if he would never die, cherishing his possessions, as if the calamities that touched him had never touched him and no calamity would ever come to him again, he falls into a state of self-assurance. This situation appears before our eyes in people. And when we truly see these, they live in ignorance, but think themselves enlightened; since they are in darkness, longing for light, they use words of enlightenment often, wanting to show themselves enlightened — wretched people.
Yes.
