Translation

Perhaps you will abandon (proclaiming) a part of the verses that have been revealed to you and your heart will contract because of their saying; “A treasure should have been sent down to him, or an angel should have come with him”. (Know that) you are only a warner. Allah is the Protector over everything.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) told the Prophet (s.a.w.) that you are not a deputy and a watchman over the worlds. You were sent as a mercy to the worlds. (And ma erselnake illa rahmat al-alam). With your feelings of mercy, you want the world of mankind to obey Allah. But even if you show them all the miracles, they will still say that it is magic.

Therefore, even if we fulfill their desires and wishes and send down treasures from the sky and send angels with them, they will not believe. For they betrayed Allah when they made a covenant with Him in the first (Kalubala). They disbelieved in Allah and did not recognize Allah who created them as Allah. These desires and wishes of theirs have been destined for them. And no power other than Allah can change their destiny.

A word was also spoken to us in the first eternity. Paradise and hell were created. We created Paradise for those who did good deeds and Hell for those who rebelled against Allah. Since there is no going back from the decision that has been made, and since We will not change this decision, there is a Book with Us, which is written down in the Book that is written in the Book that is written in the Levh-i Mahfuz, to which neither additions nor omissions are made afterwards.

O Messenger of Allah! Even if you withhold some of the Verses from those who rebel against Allah and disbelieve in the Hereafter and the Day of Reckoning in order to bring them to their senses, we know that if you do not obey Allah in your heart, your nerves will become tight and you will be restless. Therefore, your duty is to convey the Verses. You are not a deputy or a guardian over them.

Allah is the Surrogate for everything. Because the universe, all of this existence, everything from the mote to the sphere, belongs to Allah. Allah is the One who knows the state of His creatures and keeps them under His control. He is the Almighty over them. In this respect, since all creatures are servants of Allah, Allah is the trustee for all His creatures.

What is said in the video

We have come to verse 12 of Surah Hud. Surah Hud, verse 12. Perhaps you, because the polytheists say, "If only a treasure had been sent down to him from the sky," or "if only an angel had come with him," will give up proclaiming some of the verses revealed to you. And because of this your spirit will be constricted. (?) you are only a warner. Allah is Trustee over all things.

Pay attention. I am reading the verse once more.

Perhaps you, because the polytheists say, "If only a treasure had been sent down to him from the sky," or "if only an angel had come with him," will give up proclaiming some of the verses revealed to you. To whom does Allah Almighty say this? He says it to the Prophet (peace be upon him). Would the Prophet (peace be upon him) ever do that?

"Even if they put the moon in one hand and the sun in the other," he says, "I will not give up my cause." Would the Prophet who said this do that? Then is Allah lying? Allah is speaking in a figurative sense. O people! O Muslims! Or, O scholars! Or, O you who are charged with duties! Beware, out of fear of your superiors, of saying "let it be so" toward those who call you liars and trying to keep some of Allah's verses from them. To whom is He saying it? He is saying it to us, to us.

And I say it without any fear. Whoever, for the 3-5 hours of life in this world, abandons the abode of eternal bliss is dishonourable. He is vile. His faith is weak. His faith is weak. Or else he truly is a hypocrite and a person of this world. Yes, Allah is addressing us, us. Let me read the verse once more; look how beautifully He says it. Perhaps you, because the polytheists say, "If only He had sent down a treasure to him from the sky," or "if only an angel had come with him," will give up proclaiming some of the verses revealed to you, and because of this your spirit will be constricted, He says.

Your spirit. We are the ones who live that. When we do not tell it, our spirit is constricted. We feel oppressed inside. When we do not tell it. When we say, "Why did we not tell it this way too?", we feel distressed. Those verses that Allah Almighty afterwards gave us through inspiration, their meanings, the meanings of those verses He gave through inspiration, (?) or when I find an opportunity, I tell them. Yes. We are the ones who live that. The Prophet does not live that.

(?) you are only a warner. Allah is Trustee over all things, He says. Yes. If someone who leans his back on Allah like this says Allah is a Trustee, would such a situation ever arise from him? Allah Almighty, to people, in a figurative sense, shows examples through the Prophet, so that people would not lose heart. How beautiful. As we always say: I am telling you, my daughter; you understand, my daughter-in-law. The Prophet (peace be upon him), who took refuge in the Cave of Thawr with Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, when the polytheists came as far as the entrance of the cave and Abu Bakr as-Siddiq said, "O Messenger of Allah, what if they find us here?", the Prophet (peace be upon him) saying "Allah is with us," instilling that in him.

In that case, would a prophet (?) shy away from conveying the message? Impossible. Deceived by these verses, by verses of this kind, people, about the Prophet (peace be upon him), talking, disparaging him, disparaging him in the verse of Abasa too; always with such narrow thinking, imagining they have knowledge, and priding themselves on Arabic, yet for all that Arabic unaware of the meaning of the verse, those poor people disparage the Prophet (peace be upon him). They disparage him. They disparage him in these verses too. "He said this to him," or "he was supposed to say that, and so that verse came." Things like that, from their own minds; and on top of that this narration is told. Narration!

Make it up, make it up and tell it. Whose ideas are these? Ideas that non-Muslims slipped into it.

And some of those poor people say about me, this man forbids reading books.

O poor person! Do you know which book you should read? Do you know which book should not be read? First read your Book, read the Book Allah sent, understand it very well, then read the books people wrote, and see within which ideologies these people, into the books written by which blessed people, inserted what ideologies that would plunge Islam into strife, and address people accordingly. Poor man.

A person incapable of reading from his own Book, of reading his own Book. Poor man who thinks himself something with two words of Arabic. Poor thing. The person who interprets the verses backwards and is bound by (?), in different ideologies, though he has hundreds, thousands of ideas contradicting him, which, if you asked him, he could not deny at all. Those people whose situation I experience. "In this verse this man says this." "Right. In this verse he says this too." Wondering which one is right. People living in contradiction. Poor people unaware of themselves. People who, seeing falsehood extinguished before the truth, with a craving for (?) ignorantly stand up against the truth.

Yes.

Wake up a little. Wake up a little.

See the truth. Be governed by what is right. You have been governed by what is wrong. We did not interpret the verses as we pleased.

The verses that had been interpreted amid superstitions, through the inspiration that Allah, by the power of His knowledge, has given, those verses were opened up in their truth.

The essence, the origin, the reality of these verses: those opened up rightly. People cover up many things and on top of that they (?) Allah. Like what? They have made people forget the covenant. No one knows about Allah's covenant. Exceptions do not break the rule. A man says, "What is a covenant anyway?" Ask (?). What is the covenant? He doesn't know.

Partial will (irade-i cüziye). He doesn't know. He doesn't know. If this man knew partial will, he would not tie to Allah's willing the deeds that people bring about. If he knew partial will. And if this man knew Allah's attribute of being Allah, then of Allah, who knows what the people to come until the Day of Judgment will do, then to people "it is hoped that Allah will forgive you" he would not say.

Yes.

How many more things like this are in there.

He would not call the Spirit Gabriel, if this man knew the verses. Now he will call out to me from over there: "You ignorant one, you have found the place and you talk." Go on, speak. "For so long Gabriel has been coming as the Spirit, and you are going to change that?" When you say that: I have Allah's proof in my hand. What do you have in your hand? Now I will prove to you that the Spirit is not Gabriel.

Are spirits created from light? Are they created from spirit? I am asking you. Are angels from light or from spirit? All of you will answer, and that poor person in the guise of a scholar will also say "from light." Well then, if from light, when He says "the Spirit is a command of Mine," you cannot (?) this to Gabriel. Is Gabriel the Spirit? Will you now be able to refute this verse? "When that which covered the Sidra covered it," He says; "Allah revealed to His servant what He revealed." (?) here too you say Gabriel. How could Gabriel cover the Sidra? And how could Gabriel reveal? Did he go outside time and space?

Learn a little, learn. Learn. They have planted falsehood in your heads. You have become mortgaged to the ideas of this one and that one.

Yes.

Hear the truth, (?). If I am mistaken, set me straight with a verse. But look, my proof will be the Quran, the Quran. My proof will be the Quran, it will be a verse. Ahmet's, Mehmet's ideology, "it is written like this in such-and-such book": that you will not tell me. I do not live Islam by Ahmet's or Mehmet's ideology. I live Islam by Allah's verse.

Those who hear this and pass over it in silence, those who hear the truth and want to spread falsehood over the truth, those who keep silent for worldly gain, (?) their position: the burden before Allah, the burden is upon them; that is, (?) they are responsible. One single person has come forth in the whole world, against the superstitions known in Islam he has stood up; there is no scholar in the world who can set this one person straight.

There is no (?) person in the world.

So come to your senses. Do not be deceived by the passing blessings of the world. Take your place in Allah's (?), and beside the truth cast the superstitions out of yourselves, cast them out. Start from zero if you wish; if you (?), Allah, in its place, in place of those sins of yours, will turn those sins of yours into good deeds too. Just know your mistake and turn back from that mistake, and to the generations coming after give life. Make people love Islam, make people love Allah and His Messenger.

Yes, the verse we read again: Perhaps you, because the polytheists say, "If only a treasure had been sent down to him from the sky," or "if only an angel had come with him," will give up proclaiming some of the verses revealed, revealed to you, and because of this your spirit will be constricted. (?) you are only a warner. Allah is Trustee over all things. Yes. And as I always say, I remind you again. Whether you accept it or not brings you no harm. I always say it: by my Lord, to remove superstitions from the religion I am charged.

And surely you understand it from what they say, too. In this case, in this case we are obliged to make the truth heard. With the verses of Allah Almighty, with the hadiths of the Prophet (peace be upon him), we are charged with making the truth heard. In this case, in this case I am fulfilling my duty. Between me and the people, my witness is Allah.

I do not ask you for witnesses.

I ask for your testimony like this: Am I conveying the truth to you? Do I explain the verses to you?

As the Messenger of Allah said in the Farewell Sermon, as he said, "Be witness, O Lord." Yes.

Allah Almighty says to the Prophet (peace be upon him): over the worlds you are not (?). How beautifully He says it. You were sent as a mercy to the worlds. Ve mâ erselnâke illâ rahmeten li'l-âlemîn. With your feelings of compassion you wish that the world of humanity would obey Allah. With feelings of compassion. Yet even if you showed them all the miracles, they would still say it is magic. The Prophet (peace be upon him) knows this better than we do. Therefore, even if We fulfilled their wishes and desires, even if treasures from the sky We sent down, even if We sent angels to them, alongside them, O My Beloved, they still would not believe.

Because these, (?), at Qalu Bala, at the covenant (?) with Allah, were treacherous to Allah. By denying Allah, they did not recognize Allah who created them as Allah. Their wishes and desires were written for them as their destiny. Now no power other than Allah is going to change their destinies either. If I have seen that (?), if, with people in three groups, I was graced with Allah Almighty's address "I am your Lord," if I watched this realm, then the Prophet (peace be upon him), who, beside Allah Almighty, saying in person "this is our Lord," (?) people and introduced our Lord, knows these things better than I do.

Here this is a reminder, as though it were said to him. Because from these verses people will learn something. This much learning is enough for them. For them to learn it like this, on the surface, outwardly, is enough. (?), a word went forth from Us. From whom? From Allah Almighty. Paradise and Hell were created.

Paradise for those who do good deeds.

And for those who rebel against Allah We created Hell, says Allah Almighty. Since there is no turning back from the decision made, since We (?) this decision will not change, with Us there is a Book which in the Preserved Tablet (Lawh al-Mahfuz) is preserved. And the Book of which it is said that after it neither addition nor deficiency is made has been written out. O My Beloved! Those who rebel against Allah, who deny the Hereafter and the Day of Reckoning: even if, to bring them to the right path, you would hide some verses and not want to make them heard, We know that in the case of their essentially not obeying Allah your breast will be constricted and you will be uneasy.

We wrote it to people in a figurative sense like this, in a way they would understand. We opened this (?) up more deeply.

Therefore the duty that falls to you is to convey the verses. You are not a trustee or a guardian over them. Since the heirs of the Prophet are the scholars, this is an address directly to the scholars. Yes, Allah Almighty is Trustee over all things. Because the universe, all this existence, whatever there is from the atom to the sphere, is Allah's. Allah is the One who knows the state of His creatures and keeps them under His rule. He has power over them. Therefore, since all created things are Allah's servants, Allah is Trustee over all His creatures. What do we say anyway?

Ni'me'l-mevlâ ve ni'me'n-nasîr. What an excellent trustee He is, what an excellent support and what an excellent friend, says Allah.
