Tafsir
When people ask Allah for a miracle and Allah shows it to them, and they still do not believe in these miracles and do not believe in Allah and the Hereafter, Allah will bring a public lawsuit against that people. Allah (swt) says in one of His verses, "This world is the shadow and the likeness of the Hereafter". Just as if a person kills a person, and the owner of the dead person forgives the person who killed him, the law does not forgive the person he killed, but puts a public prosecution on that person.
And if a person asks Allah for a miracle, and Allah shows them a miracle, but they still persist in disbelief and deny Allah and the Hereafter, then they are obliged to suffer calamity, that is, destruction.
That is why Hazrat Salih (peace be upon him) turned to his people and said: O my people, you killed the camel by cutting off its legs. You have committed a very bad deed. Now live in your land for three more days and then you will perish. This was a threat that could not be refuted. As it is obligatory for people who have doubts about Allah (swt) in spite of such proofs, and as it is obligatory for people who do not believe in Allah (swt) and the Hereafter to perish because of their disobedience to Allah (swt), it is an inevitable decree of Allah (swt) that they will perish at the end of this respite given to people, which is not denied.
What is said in the video
But the people of Thamud killed that camel by cutting her legs. Verse 65: Allah Almighty informs us. The people of Thamud killed that camel by cutting her legs. Salih said: Live in your homes three more days, then you will be destroyed. This was a threat that is not belied, the command of Allah Almighty. Salih (peace be upon him) informs his people of the situation, and what does he say? It was a threat that is not belied. People wanted to see a miracle from Allah. And when Allah shows people this miracle, people still do not believe in these miracles. If they do not believe in Allah and the Hereafter, Allah brings a public prosecution against this people.
Yes.
What is this like? A person kills a man, a person.
The relatives of the dead do not press charges against the killer. But the blood clings to his collar. It clings to (?) collar. Public prosecution. So the people who ask Allah for a miracle, before a miracle our Lord has shown, those who betray that miracle, who pay no heed, and finally when they take Allah's miracle lightly, Allah Almighty does not let Himself be mocked by His creatures. He does not let them (?) against Him and about Him, forgiving them like this. What does He do? Allah's public prosecution appears. That is, His miracle appears. Those people take Allah's miracle lightly, kill the camel, or if they do not believe in the miracle He showed, that is when destruction begins.
Destruction. With the Prophet (peace be upon him), He has lifted destruction. Because Allah Almighty sent the Prophet (peace be upon him) to the worlds as a mercy. In mercies there is no destruction. But there are calamities.
In that case, did the Prophet (peace be upon him) not show miracles? He did. And he showed very great miracles that no human could show. What are these very great miracles?
The first is the shaqq al-qamar he performed. Splitting the moon in two.
And the unbelievers again did not believe. No, they believed. They believed. Someone called Habibi, a commander, a commander, to Mecca, against the Prophet (peace be upon him), with his army comes. Because the Abu Jahls, the Abu Lahabs, the Abu Sufyans: a false prophet has sprung up here. He is proclaiming his prophethood. Sir, deal with him, they say, inviting the army. At its head is Habibi, the army commander Habibi.
He comes with his army, settles on top of a high mountain and invites the Prophet (peace be upon him). I'm telling it briefly. There are some words to be said here, but I'm telling it briefly. The Prophet accepts the invitation. He comes, he comes.
O Muhammad, they say you are a prophet. Yes, he says. Prophets show miracles. If you show me a miracle, he says, I will believe in your (?), he says. What do you want, he says. You must split the moon in two, he says. All right, says the Prophet. I have a daughter, he says. Born with leprous skin. And crippled. Only by a prophet's miracle, he says, will she get well. I want her to get well too, he says. All right, he says. And, he says, you will stop the night and the day, he says. To that too he says all right. Beside him is Abu Bakr as-Siddiq. O Messenger of Allah. Fine, the splitting of the moon is all right.
And the girl, all right. But how will night and day stop, he says. Once these two appear, he says, he will forget the third, he says. Yes. He will forget the third.
No sooner does Habibi go to his daughter than his daughter runs and embraces her father.
Her father cannot tell that she is his daughter. A girl as beautiful as the full moon. Perfectly healthy. He looks and sees. Father, she says, believe this man.
This man, she says, from what we have heard, is the last prophet to come, the one who ends prophethood, she says. I have believed and have faith, she says.
Evening comes. The Prophet (peace be upon him) (?) Allah Almighty addresses: O Muhammad, in the darkness of the night introduce yourself to the moon, He says.
Yes. Night falls. Pitch darkness. If you held out your hand, your eyes would not see your hand. Fear falls into people's hearts. Habibi from the mountain (?): O Muhammad, in your prophethood I believe, I have faith. Now, he says, lift this darkness. Yes,
but once the command has gone out, there is no turning it back. Upon this, the moon, from the east, (?), that is, gliding through the air, comes, circles the House of Allah three times and stays where it is. The Prophet (peace be upon him) to the moon introduces himself: Ya Kamer Ene Muhammed Şakır, he says. The moon splits in two. One to the east, one to the west. The Byzantine Empire: a prophet has appeared, they say. It is seen from there too. And finally the moon comes back and joins together. Yes. The first miracle; the second miracle, granted to no one else: no being, no creature is able to see Allah Almighty with the physical eye.
Only the Prophet (peace be upon him) saw Allah Almighty with the physical eye. Where? In the world? No. The world is a lost realm. Then where? In the Mi'raj.
Are there verses about it? How could there not be? Look what it says. His heart did not belie what his eye saw. So, with manifestations to the heart, what his eye saw, and first, in that true form, he rose upright. What is this true form? (?) those who cover it, who bury it under ashes, those unaware of them, people who lead others onto false and wrong paths. They are unaware of these. Unaware of these verses too. Yes.
He saw Allah Almighty with the physical eye. In this case, the people asking for a miracle, or the commander together with his unit, came to faith. The polytheists of Mecca did not ask for the miracle. If the polytheists of Mecca had asked and continued their polytheism, they too would presumably have been destroyed. Whatever Allah's law was in pre-eternity, so it is in eternity.
So a person asks Allah for a miracle, it says. Allah shows them this miracle, it says. Still the person (?) and resists. If they deny Allah and the Hereafter, then for them calamity, that is, destruction becomes due.
That is why Salih (peace be upon him), turning to his people, said: O my people, you killed the camel by cutting her legs, you committed a very evil deed; now live in your homes three more days, then you will be destroyed, he said. This was a threat that is not belied.
Yes, Allah's threat. When Allah threatens a person, when He makes a threat, His threat is not only in this world. If only it were in this world. If only it were in this world. Those who saw the punishment in a few hours of worldly life would be saved. They remain subject to the eternal punishment of the eternal abode. Yes. Despite so many proofs about Allah Almighty, toward people who fall into doubt, in the Hereafter too, people who do not believe in Allah and the Hereafter, since they opposed Allah, their end must be destruction; since it is due, unbelied, that is, as an inevitable command from Allah, this respite given to people, at the end of this respite they will be destroyed.
Yes.
