Translation

When he saw that they were not reaching for the food, he condemned them and a fear of them seized him. They said; “Do not be afraid, (we are angels and) we have been sent to the nation of Lot (The Prophet).”

Tafsir

When Hadrat Abraham 'alaihis-salâm' offered food to the angels, whom he thought were human beings, when he saw that they did not eat, he first found them strange. In other words, they did not like the food he brought. They despised the blessings of Allah, in the sense that they despised Allah's blessings. Then a fear came over him because of their different behavior. When a guest does not eat the food offered, it means that he is an enemy of the household. In this case, a fear began to fall into him. When the angels realized that Hazrat Ibrahim was afraid, they introduced themselves. We are angels. Do not be afraid of us! O Ibrahim. They said, 'We have been sent to the people of Lot.

What is said in the video

When he saw that they did not reach their hands toward the food, he found them strange, and fear of them fell into his heart. They said, "Do not fear, we are angels; we have been sent to the people of Lot." Now the angels come to Abraham (peace be upon him); at once a roasted calf is brought before them as hospitality. He sees that they don't eat. When they don't eat — if a guest comes to someone's house and doesn't eat there, toward him that is hostility. He is counted as his enemy. It is like this in our religion too. At the very least, even if he is full, he presses a finger into the (?) salt like this and licks it. "I'm your friend," that is, "no harm will come to you from me." For the sake of that salt.

Yes. These are among the manners and etiquette of Islam. So when Abraham sees that these (?) don't eat, fear falls into his heart. Since they are strangers, he shudders. Thereupon the angels say, "Do not be afraid. We are angels. We have been sent to Lot (peace be upon him)," they say. Yes.

When Abraham (peace be upon him) offered food to the angels he took for humans, and saw that they did not eat, he first found them strange. That is, they did not like the food he brought. In the sense that they (?) the blessings Allah gave. First there arose a sense of strangeness. Then, from their unusual manner, fear fell into his heart. A guest not eating the food offered means being an enemy to that household. So fear began to fall into his heart. When the angels realized Abraham was afraid, they introduced themselves. "We are angels; do not be afraid of us, O Abraham. We have been sent to the people of Lot," they said.

Lot is Abraham's cousin.

Pharaoh — I said Pharaoh — when Nimrod threw Abraham into the fire, it became a rose garden, of course, the place where he was thrown. Allah Almighty commands the fire: "Be coolness and safety." So, Lot's being safe (?) — when he came out safe from the place of that fire, he leaves Urfa. This event happens in Urfa. Lot is his cousin too, a person who believed in him. They leave together. They go. So Abraham comes to the region of Mecca. He comes to Mecca. He settles. And Lot goes to where the people of Lot are. He goes there to proclaim Allah's command to the people.

So when the angels tell Abraham (peace be upon him), "We are going to Lot," he becomes very afraid. He thinks he too will be destroyed. And with sincere supplication to Allah Almighty, (?). And the angels say, "We will save him and those who believe in him, his family; the others we will destroy," they say. We will come to those verses later, inshallah. And to her We gave the good news of Isaac, and after Isaac, of Jacob.

We are angels; do not be afraid of us, O Abraham, (?). (?) of Surah Hud
