Tafsir
The angels seeing the astonishment of the wife of Hadrat Ibrahim 'alaihis-salâm'. O people of the house! Do you wonder at Allah's command? Surely whatever Allah has willed will happen. Allah's command is true. There is no deficiency in what He says. People are surprised because they are ignorant of the existence of Allah and His glory. This is because the work of Allah is beyond human comprehension and mystery. He is the Creator and omnipotent. It is one of the miracles of Allah that Hadrat Maryam had a child by the grace of Allah and gave birth to Hadrat Jesus (peace be upon him) without being touched by a man.
Through such events, Allah declares His existence to people. Allah (swt) narrates these events as history, as if they happened today among us, alive and well. He waits for people to return to Him. The angels continue to herald the good news of Allah's command to the people of the house, saying, "Allah's mercy and blessings are upon you". The good news here is even greater. If Allah's mercy is upon a person, that person will be blessed in this world and the Hereafter. In this respect, it is good news that the wife of Prophet Ibrahim is also in Paradise.
Allah's blessings on this household were very great. Hadrat Ibrahim 'alaihis-salâm' was very careful about the blessings Allah had given him, he was respectful of these blessings and avoided wasting them, and he was not ungrateful for the blessings Allah had given him. For example, when he was eating, he would wear an apron over his throat in case bread crumbs spilled on the floor and he would be ungrateful for the blessings of Allah and chew them, and when the food he ate spilled on it, he would pick up the spilled food and eat it again so that it would not be wasted. In this respect, Allah used to increase and increase His blessings upon Hadrat Ibrahim 'alaihis-salâm'.
According to the narrations, Hazrat Ibrahim 'alaihis-salâm' had small and large herds of cattle. As these herds increased, he became unable to take care of them. He begged Allah: "O Lord, I have become unable to take care of these herds, I am afraid of their calamity, do not increase this herd any more. Allah (swt) said to Hazrat Ibrahim: "O Ibrahim! If you are ungrateful for my blessings, I will cut off my blessings for you. Upon this, Ibrahim said: O Lord, I could never do that. Allah (swt) says, 'I will increase My blessing and increase My blessings on you.
Allah's glad tidings to Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) with the angels, saying that Allah's mercy and blessings are upon you, is the good news that they will also attain worldly happiness.
Allah is worthy of praise. Because Allah is very merciful and compassionate towards His creatures. He pleases each and every one of His creatures individually. If anyone is dissatisfied with Allah, he is either ungrateful or rebellious against Allah and does not believe in Allah and the Hereafter. Because Allah is exempt from all imperfect attributes. No human being will be able to say that because you did this to me, I did that to you. Every living being is guilty and at fault before Allah (swt). In this respect, Allah is complete and perfect towards His creatures. He is the one who provides for His creatures and gives them life. Therefore, Allah is the most worthy of praise. Praise and adoration is to Allah in His property.
What is said in the video
Yes, the angels who see her astonishment say: 'O people of the house, do you wonder at Allah's command?' Surely whatever Allah has willed, that will be. Allah's command is true. There is never any shortcoming in what He says. People are astonished because they are unaware of Allah's existence and His greatness. Because human reason cannot grasp Allah's work and its secret. He is the Creator and has power over all things. That our mother Mary, too, without a man's hand touching her, had a child by Allah's grace and generosity and gave birth to Jesus (peace be upon him) is among Allah's miracles.
Through such events Allah makes His existence known to people. Allah Almighty tells these events as history, vividly, as if they had appeared among us today, and waits for people to turn to Him. The angels continue the good news to Allah's house, to the people of the house. They say: Allah's mercy and His blessings are upon you. The good news here is even greater. If Allah's mercy is upon a person, that person attains the happiness of this world and the hereafter. So it is the good news that the people of the house, Abraham's wife too, are destined for Paradise.
And Allah's blessing upon this household is very great. Abraham (peace be upon him) is very careful with the blessings Allah gives, is respectful toward these blessings and avoids waste to the utmost; he is not ungrateful for the blessings Allah gives. For instance, when eating, crumbs of bread fall to the ground, and thinking 'I would be ungrateful for Allah's blessings and trample them', he ties a bib around his neck, and when the food he eats falls onto it, he picks up what fell and eats it again so that it is not wasted. For this reason too, Allah increased His blessings on Abraham (peace be upon him) more and more.
According to narrations, Abraham (peace be upon him) owned flocks of sheep and cattle. As these flocks grew, he could no longer look after them. He implores Allah: 'O my Lord, I can no longer look after these flocks. I fear the burden of responsibility for them. Do not increase my flock any more,' he says. Allah Almighty says to Abraham: 'O Abraham, if you are ungrateful for the blessings I give, I too will cut off the blessings I would give you,' He says. Yes.
Upon this, Abraham says: 'O my Lord, I could never do that.' And Allah Almighty — look what He says in reply: 'Then I will increase My blessing and My bounty upon you,' He says. So Allah's good news to Abraham (peace be upon him) through the angels, saying 'Allah's mercy and His blessings are upon you', is the good news that they will also attain worldly (?) as well. This too is a narration, of course. His property became too much, it says; when the goods increased, he could no longer look after them. This time he implores, asking how he can be free of the burden of them. 'O my Lord, at least give it an enemy,' he says.
'Give an enemy that will thin it out.' Then, it says, Allah created wolves. It may be: whatever Allah did beforehand, He knows what will happen; He had created it. So they draw such a comparison from the narration. So, it says, the wolves fell upon it.
Allah is worthy of praise because Allah is very merciful and compassionate toward His creatures. He satisfies each thing He created, each one, by Himself. If there is anyone not content with Allah, surely this person is (?), one who toward Allah Almighty is discontent, a rebel, a person who does not believe in Allah and the hereafter. Because Allah is also free from any deficient attribute. No person will be able to say: 'Because You did this to me, I did that.' Every living being is guilty and at fault before Allah Almighty. In this respect Allah is flawless and complete toward His creatures. He gives His creatures every kind of provision and grants them life.
So Allah is the One most worthy of praise. In His dominion, praise and glory belong to Allah. Yes. In His dominion, praise and glory belong to Allah alone. Lâ ilâhe illâ ente sübhâneke innî küntü mine'z-zâlimîn. With the prayer of Jonah: 'We are helpless, we have wronged ourselves, O Allah, forgive us,' he says. Then after it: lâ ilâhe illallâhu vahdehû lâ şerîke leh, lehü'l-mülkü ve lehü'l- hamdü ve hüve alâ külli şey'in kadîr. This too is a very great prayer. That is, la ilahe illallah. There is no (?) other than You. Lâ ilâhe illallâhu vahdehû lâ şerîke leh. You are One, and You have no partner.
Lehü'l-mülkü ve lehü'l-hamdü. In Your dominion, praise belongs to You alone, it says. Now the whole universe is Allah's. In Your dominion, praise belongs to You. Ve hüve alâ külli şey'in kadîr. He has power over all things. He is the Creator of everything. (?) Yes.
