(The angels) said; “Oh Abraham. Abandon this because the order from your Lord (for punishment) came. And this punishment, which will not be turned away from them, will surely come.”
Tafsir
When the angels saw that Hazrat Ibrahim was praying to Allah not to give the people of Lot the calamities that would come upon them and that he did not give up his prayer, they said: "O Ibrahim, give up your prayer. Because the chastisement of your Lord has come.
When Allah has decreed punishment for a people, there is no stopping it. That is because Allah is sovereign in His judgment. When He gives a decree like people, He does not take it back, just as He does not take back a decree after it has been withdrawn by the intervention of favored people. If Allah's Word and judgment has come from Him as truth, there is no one who can reverse it. The Word of Allah is the Verses. Since there can be no change in the verses, they are valid from before to eternity.
When the angels continued (and an irreversible torment will surely come upon them), Hazrat Ibrahim, realizing the decisiveness of the judgment, realized that he had no choice but to submit to Allah's judgment and surrendered to Allah.
What is said in the video
Surah Hud, we stopped at 76, it says.
In the last lesson, Abraham (peace be upon him) had entered into dispute with the angels, together with Allah Almighty, about Lot, so that nothing would happen there, because he was very gentle-natured. In this situation the angels too informed Abraham of Allah's command as required. 'Give this up now,' they said. 'Because the command has been issued,' they said. The angels said: 'O Abraham, give this up. For your Lord's command of punishment has come. And it will not be turned back from them. This punishment will surely come.' If a command has come out from Allah Almighty, its turning back is impossible. He is not like us humans.
We say something and then later, for the sake of the matter, or for the sake of Ahmet or Mehmet, or like 'I forgive you', sir, let's not do it. Not possible. It does not befit Allah's majesty. If His command has been issued, this matter will be done. When the angels saw that Abraham, grieving and lamenting to Allah Almighty, was praying that the calamities coming to the people of Lot not be given, and that this prayer was not given up — seeing that Abraham did not give up this prayer: 'O Abraham, give up the prayer you have made, for your Lord's command of punishment has come,' it says. These were programmed beforehand.
Who will do what, who will do what things, who will perish when, who will become a prophet when, which scholars will grow up where, and what they will tell to whom. There is not a single living being to come until the Last Day of whom Allah Almighty would not know what it will not do. In this situation, what do the angels say? 'O Abraham, give up the prayer you have made, for your Lord's command of punishment has come.'
Allah Almighty already knows beforehand that the people of Lot will perish. But if we investigate further back, in proportion to the covenants they gave, because He sent them to the world to prove what kind of people they are, in the world to them, to prove themselves — in an unseen world, a world where Allah Almighty is not seen — since He gives them the chance to prove themselves, He sends them to His great world. In this situation, since He knows what they will do, every person has a separate frequency. Every person. According to those frequencies, as receiver-transmitter, Allah Almighty has prepared baked, prepared stones, these stones.
Baked, prepared stones. With that frequency — let's say, compatible with the person's frequency, tuned as receiver-transmitter. For example, these stones — when the angels rain those stones down, whom those stones will hit is determined. The Ababil birds too, the same, you know. Carrying in their mouths those stones called siccîl, they (?)
when they dropped them, down from the person's head — (?) in that event of the elephant — they destroyed them. One even fled. A certain people, that is, another people — at night he went in among them and covered himself with a quilt; even so, that frequency came and found him there. It killed him too, under that quilt. So it is just like people with these frequencies talking on the telephone. Allah Almighty had already prepared these stones beforehand with frequencies. Yes. The angels too say: so Allah's command of punishment has now been issued. This is over. This command will be carried out, it says.
If a (?) command of punishment has come from Allah Almighty, there is no one to stop it. Because Allah is the Judge in His judgement. Unlike people who give an order and then, when influential persons intervene, take back the order they gave, He does not take it back. If Allah's word and judgement have come forth from Him as truth, there is no one to turn it back anymore. Allah's word is the verses. Since there will be no change in the verses, from pre-eternity to eternity they are valid. Yes. From pre-eternity to eternity. Ebed: endless. So Allah's word too: whatever is wet or dry is in the Quran, all laws are in the Holy Quran, all secrets too exist in the Quran; with Us there is a book that is preserved in the Levh-i Mahfuz.
And after that, since it says (?), sir, people too in the world of the hereafter will forever find life with Allah's word, because Allah Almighty will meet with them. In the highest Paradise. Yes.
When the angels went on to say 'and an irreversible punishment will surely come to them', Abraham, grasping the firmness of the judgement, realizes that other than (?) to Allah's judgement he has no recourse, and submits to Allah.
