Translation

When Our messengers came to Lot, (Lot) became sad because of them, he got distressed and said; “This is a very difficult day!”

Tafsir

When the angels came to Hadrat Lot, they came in the form of a very beautiful human being. Hadrat Lot mistook these messengers for human beings. When Hadrat Lot saw his guests, he was very sad because he would be ashamed of his guests on behalf of his people. Because his people had relations with their own sex and did not approach women. In this respect, Lot, who thought that the messengers were human beings, was afraid that his people would do something evil to his guests. Because he could not stand against his people alone and his power was not enough, Hadrat Lot said, "Today is a very hard day. Because if a person does not protect and defend his guests who come to him and take refuge, his human relations are weak. Such people become fickle and cruel. In order not to give his guests to his people, Hadrat Lut 'alaihis-salâm' said that this was a very difficult day and expressed his helplessness against his people and his misery because he could not do anything about it.

What is said in the video

Our messengers came to Lot; Lot was grieved because of them, and his heart was distressed on their account, and he said: This is a hard day. Yes, truly, that world, as if it were today, before my eyes, I live it, so to speak. Indeed, if these feelings were not there, if Allah Almighty had not instilled these feelings in a person, these things would not be possible, telling them would not be possible either. One goes (?) beyond oneself. You are among such a filthy people. Among a filthy people. And a homosexual nation that has relations with its own sex.

And you are alone among them. Alone among them. Guests come to you. Very handsome young men come.

You know what your people will do. You know what these people will do. In this situation you cannot send away the guests who have come. Because a guest has come to you for Allah's sake. And think of those people's attitude towards you. In order to take this from you. And you are alone. And those who have come are in no state to protect themselves. Because he does not know they are angels. Lot. He does not know they are angels. And he says exactly this: On their account (?), this is a hard day, he said. Yes. A hard day.

When the angels came to Lot (peace be upon him), in the guise of very beautiful people they came.

Lot took these messengers to be human. When Lot saw his guests, because on his people's account he would be shamed before his guests, he was very grieved. Because his people had relations with their own sex; women, to women they did not go near.

Therefore Lot, taking the messengers to be human, fearing that his people would do some evil to his guests, was distressed. Since alone he could not stand against his people, and his strength would not suffice for it, Lot (peace be upon him) said: Today is a hard day.

So Lot (peace be upon him), saying, so as not to hand his guests over to his people, this is a very hard day, showed that he was helpless against his people, and since nothing was in his power, grieving, he voiced his distress aloud. Lot (peace be upon him).
