Hud 78: Lot’s people came to his side running. They were committing those bad deeds before as well. (Lot) said; “Oh my people! Here, these are my daughters, marry them, they are cleaner for you. Fear Allah and do not humiliate me in front of my guests. Isn’t there a man of reasoning among you?”

Translation

Lot’s people came to his side running. They were committing those bad deeds before as well. (Lot) said; “Oh my people! Here, these are my daughters, marry them, they are cleaner for you. Fear Allah and do not humiliate me in front of my guests. Isn’t there a man of reasoning among you?”

Tafsir

As soon as the people of Hadrat Lot heard that Hadrat Lot had very beautiful guests, they immediately gathered in front of Hadrat Lot's house to take away their guests from Hadrat Lot. Since this people had been involved in same-sex relations before, Hadrat Lot (peace be upon him) was sent to them as a Prophet. However, this unruly and perverted people, following in the footsteps of their ancestors, did not believe in Hadrat Lot (peace be upon him) and continued in their perversions and did not give up their evil ways. Allah (swt) ordered them to be tormented. He sent His messengers for the destruction of this people.

The people of Hadrat Lut 'alaihis-salâm' asked for these messengers from Hadrat Lut 'alaihis-salâm'. Hadrat Lot 'alaihis-salâm' said to his people: "O my people! These are my daughters, marry them, they are purer for you, fear Allah, do not disgrace me in front of my guests. However, when these horny and lustful perverts became disobedient, Hadrat Lot said to them, "Is there not a sane person among you? He said. If there were sane people among them, would they have committed these perverse deeds and disobeyed Allah's commands? By believing in Allah and His Messenger, they would be saved from such miserable calamities.

When Hadrat Lut 'alaihis-salâm' said these are my daughters. A Prophet is the elder and father of his people. When he says these are my daughters, it does not necessarily mean that his own daughters are meant. Since he is the father of the daughters of his people, they are also meant.

What is said in the video

Lot's people came running to him. Even before that they had been doing those evil deeds. Lot said: O my people! Here are my daughters. Marry them. They are purer for you. Fear Allah and do not disgrace me before my guests. Is there not one right-minded man among you? Yes, by now these are, in human form, more vile even than animals, creatures, a creature. All created beings are creatures; all created beings, and we too are creatures. Because of the spirit Allah Almighty has given us, above the worlds we have been made honoured. In this situation these have fallen into the state of the people this verse describes.

A human is human through his deeds. It says that through some deeds he is even more vile than an animal. So if we call the animals that were created creatures, these creatures are more vile even than those creatures, beyond words, base people for whose deeds there are no words. Yes. Are there none in our time? There are. And these are stars in leading roles. Stars. (?)

Except for those who repent. Allah is the One who accepts repentance abundantly. Yes. Lot's people, as soon as they heard that to Lot (peace be upon him) very beautiful guests had come, in order to take from Lot (peace be upon him) the guests, at once in front of the house of Lot (peace be upon him) they gather. In one narration, Lot's wife told them. So they say. Not knowing that the angels were angels, she reported that those who had come were very beautiful guests, and so, since she too was among the deniers, she was among those who stayed behind.

Because this people had relations among their own sex, Lot (peace be upon him) was sent to them as a prophet. Yet this rebellious, perverted people, following in their forefathers' footsteps, not only did not believe in Lot (peace be upon him), but also, persisting in their perversion, did not give up their evil customs. And Allah Almighty issued the command of punishment against them. He sent His messengers so that this people would be destroyed. Yes, so that this people would be destroyed, Allah Almighty the messengers, the angels, sent them. Lot's people demand from Lot (peace be upon him) these messengers.

Lot (peace be upon him), however, says to his people: O my people, here are my daughters. Marry them. They are purer for you. Fear Allah, do not disgrace me before my guests, they say. When Lot says here: Here are my daughters, which one would give which daughter to whom? Is Lot lying here? As we always say, prophets are in the position of the elder and father of their people; so of the girls among his people he says: Here are my daughters for you, marry them; your marrying them is more lawful for you by Allah's command, he says. He conveys Allah's command to them. Yes. But these rebellious and lustful perverts (?), when it comes to that, Lot to them: Is there not one right-minded person among you?

they say. His heart is distressed now. He is helpless, powerless. Indeed, if there had been right-minded people among them, in these perverted deeds (?). Against Allah's commands (?) By believing in Allah and His Prophet, from such humiliating calamities that would befall them they would have been saved. If they had been right-minded people.

When Lot said: Here are my daughters, a prophet is in the position of the elder and father of his people. His saying 'here are my daughters' is not necessarily meant as his own daughters. Since he is also in the position of father to the girls among the people, they too are meant. Yes.
