Hud 81: (The angels) said; “Oh Lot. We are messengers of your Lord. They will never be able to touch you. Embark and walk during a part of the night with your family. No one from you shall stay behind except your wife, because what will come upon them (punishment), surely also will strike her. The promised time for them (for punishment) is the time of morning. Is it not morning soon?”

(The angels) said; “Oh Lot.
Tafsir
The angels, seeing that Hadrat Lot 'alaihis-salâm' was so upset, turned to Hadrat Lot 'alaihis-salâm' and said, "O Lot, we are the messengers of your Lord. They can never touch you. Because Allah has put the angels in charge and they are in a position to carry out the orders they receive, so of course humans cannot do anything to them.
(You set out and walk with your family at some part of the night. None of you should be left behind except your wife." From this verse, Hadrat Lut 'alaihis-salâm' understood that the destruction of his people was obligatory upon them, so he gathered his children and set out at night. Only his wife did not believe, so she was one of those who stayed behind. Because the women of this tribe used to encourage them in the evil deeds of their men. In this respect, when it was said that the torment that would come to them would surely hit your profit, Hadrat Lut 'alaihis-salâm' continued on his way without looking back. He wants to leave that town as soon as possible to get away from the calamities that will come to them.
(The time promised to them (destruction) is the morning. Is not the morning near?) It is clear from this verse that these angels, the messengers of Allah, are impatient for Allah's command to be fulfilled as soon as possible and to destroy such a perverse and rebellious people. Is the morning not near for the time of the destruction in the morning, which is the command of Allah (swt)? They ask each other.
These angels are said to be Gabriel, Michael and Israfil. In one narration, Gabriel 'alaihis-salâm' says to Lot: They cannot do anything to you, open your door and let them in. Then Hadrat Lot opened the door, and as the rampaging members of his people tried to enter, Gabriel (peace be upon him) slammed his wings in the faces of these rampaging perverts and they came out blinded and started shouting. The soothsayers said that there were magicians with Lot. Then the angels returned to Hadrat Lut 'alaihis-salâm' and sent Hadrat Lut 'alaihis-salâm' out of the town, and since his wife was one of those who stayed behind, the calamity that had befallen that people also befell him and they perished as disbelievers.
What is said in the video
After so much testing, the angels make themselves known. The angels said: O Lot, we are the messengers of your Lord. Yes. They will never be able to touch you. Set out with your family in a part of the night and go. Let none of you stay behind except your wife. For the punishment that will come upon them will surely strike her too. She is marked; let her go as far as (?). She goes with them too, but marked, as I described earlier, with a frequency. That stone will find her, will find her. The time of destruction is the morning. Is not the morning near, it says. The angels are impatient too.
When it says 'is not the morning near', they too are impatient. Against these, this rebellious people.
Yes.
Truly, reading these and passing on is one thing. Living them with feeling is another.
The angels, seeing Lot (peace be upon him) so grieved, turned to Lot (peace be upon him): O Lot, we are the messengers of your Lord, they will never be able to touch you, they said. Because since Allah has charged the angels with a duty, and these angels are about to carry out the command they received, of course people can do nothing to them. They do not have the strength.
Now, at one time, a few years ago, I have a dream.
I die in my dream.
I go into the grave. In the grave. Two angels come. The noble angels Munkar and Nakir.
Not the noble angels Munkar and Nakir. Those angels on the right and left, on the shoulders. The (?) angels. Two angels come.
One from the right, one from the left, they take me by the arms. Come on, we are going, they say. Where are you taking me, I say. We are taking you to our Lord, they say. To our Lord. And I say, I wonder, I say, to our Lord, I say, they say they are taking me. Let them not take me somewhere else, I say. Like this: I am stronger than them. I am strong. The two of them, one on one arm, one on the other. I could easily knock their heads together. Easily. But I think like this: If they are my Lord's appointed ones, I say, even if it were an ant, I could not overpower it, I say. I could not overpower it, I say.
In that case, people, of course, angels charged with a duty excepted. People truly are stronger even than angels. Even than angels. But if Allah has charged that angel over a person, those people have against that angel no power whatsoever. That is, although being spiritually strong and able to overcome the angel, although in a position to overcome it, with the knowledge Allah Almighty has given it, with knowledge, it is able to stop those people. For example, with the angels' gaze, their freezing there, their eyes becoming (?). In the people of Lot. In that case, that is. Their strength is through Allah's knowledge.
Yes. Otherwise no one has power over the spirit. The angel has no power over it either. Because the spirit is strong.
I do not know if I can explain this part. It comes across, that is. Yes.
O Lot, we are the messengers of your Lord. They will never be able to touch you, they said. Because since Allah has charged the angels with a duty, and these angels are about to carry out the command they received, of course people can do nothing to them. Now here a story of Umar too comes to my mind, a narration. They narrate one.
Our masters Hasan and Husayn, about Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), used to say: My father is the lion of the earth. To Umar's son they would present their father this way.
One day Umar's son tells his father this.
His father says to his son: My son, you tell them, my father is the lion beneath the earth. Again one day, when our masters Hasan and Husayn say to Umar's son, my father is the lion of the earth, the child says: My father too, my father too is the lion beneath the earth. Our masters Hasan and Husayn too So Umar's son, and our masters Hasan and Husayn too, speak like this. My father too, my father too is the lion beneath the earth, he says. Thereupon our masters Hasan and Husayn tell this to Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). Father, Umar's (?) told us such and such. Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) is curious too, he lies down for istikhara, he sees that, O Allah, show me, let us see, (?).
Umar does not lie. Well, at that moment he sees: Umar has died. Munkar and Nakir. The (?) noble angels, probably. (?), probably them. Fasting, is it? I can hardly put my words together. Yes. They come.
They take Umar by the arms from both sides.
They ask Umar: Who is your Lord?
And Umar says, well, (?). Look at my head, he says. You know, he had taken a ghusl. You know how they have (?) take a ghusl. Look, he says, my head is not even dry yet. Hih! I have taken a ghusl. Your Lord, he says, I have not forgotten, and you, he says, having come all this way, are you telling me who your Lord is, he says. (?), he says, if I knocked (?) heads together now, you here (?), he says. Did you get it? Then Ali wakes up. (?), he says. He too is the lion beneath the earth, he says.
Yes. You
set out with your family in a part of the night and walk; so people can do nothing to angels, to angels on duty; except your wife, let none of you stay behind. Yes.
From this verse Lot (peace be upon him) realises that upon his own people the destruction (?), and at night he gathers his children, and they set out.
Only his wife, because she did not believe, is among those left behind.
Because the women of this people too, in the evil deed their men did, would encourage them. Their wives. Therefore, the punishment that will come upon them will surely strike your wife too, when this was said, here we put (?) on it. Lot (peace be upon him) continues on his way without looking back. Leaving that town as soon as possible, from the calamities coming upon them, to get away he wants. The time of destruction promised to them is the morning. Is not the morning near? From this verse it is also understood that these angels, who are Allah's (?), for Allah's command to be carried out as soon as possible, to destroy such a perverted and rebellious people, are bound to be impatient.
For the time of the destruction in the morning, which is Allah Almighty's command, is not the morning near, they ask one another. It is said that these angels are Gabriel, Michael and Israfil. These angels, it says, these angels. One is Gabriel, another Michael and the other Israfil, it is said. In one narration, Gabriel (peace be upon him): O Lot, they can do nothing to you. Open your door, let them come in, he says. Let them come in, he says. Thereupon Lot opens the door. As the rebellious ones of his people try to come in, Gabriel (peace be upon him) strikes his wings into the faces of these rebellious perverts who come, and suddenly they go blind, go out and start shouting.
There are soothsayers and sorcerers with Lot, they say. Thereupon the angels, turning to Lot (peace be upon him), lead Lot (peace be upon him) out of the town and send him off. His wife, since she was among those left behind, the calamity that struck this people struck her too; as disbelievers they perish and are gone. Yes.
