Translation

And verily, We have sent Moses with Our verses and with a clear proof.

Tafsir

Pharaoh's people were also among the unruly. For Pharaoh had declared himself a god and made his people believe that he was a god, and they began to worship Pharaoh as a god. At the same time, Pharaoh and his people went over the line in oppressing the Children of Israel. They used to make them do the heaviest labor.

What is said in the video

Surah Hud, the 96th verse. And indeed We sent Moses with Our signs and a clear proof to Moses. Allah Almighty said clear signs. His hand, when he drew it out from under his arm, bright white shining, his staff becoming a dragon and swallowing the sorcery, waters like blood being turned into blood, plagues of locusts and frogs — with many miracles like these, which He called clear signs, a proof, He sent him with miracles. To whom? To Pharaoh. Yes.

Allah's decree. The 96th verse of Surah Hud we are explaining. And it says: And indeed We sent Moses with Our signs and a clear proof. And Pharaoh's people were among the rebellious. Pharaoh had declared himself god. God.

There is a nice parable about Satan and Pharaoh. I told it to you, remember. It's worth telling it here once more.

Satan comes and knocks on Pharaoh's door. Knock, knock, knock. Pharaoh calls from inside. Who is it?

And Satan calls to Pharaoh from outside. What kind of god are you? You couldn't recognize who came to your door, he says. Who are you? Come in, says Pharaoh. Satan goes in. To a god like you, he says, a rebel like me makes a fine companion, he says. Yes. So Pharaoh too was among the rebellious. He declared himself god. Allah Almighty, in His verse, when a people exceeds the limit, He says, to its ringleaders, to the rebellious ringleaders at the center of that people, without sending word one by one to warn them, We will not destroy them, He says. So Allah Almighty, to that rebellious ringleader Pharaoh, with clear proofs, with miracles, with miracles, sends Moses as a prophet, and has him call to the truth.

But if a person, in his covenant, gave a covenant of rebellion against Allah, he will never come to the right path. In the face of many miracles. O Moses, tell your Lord: I have believed in your Lord (?). When Allah Almighty lifted the calamities from them, his again returning to his own world and denying Moses — in response, in the end He catches him at the Red Sea. He takes his people to Moses by night. Moses sets the Children of Israel out on the road at night. Pharaoh, hearing of this, gathers his soldiers. They are a scattered (?) band anyway, he says. He goes after Moses. He catches up with him at the Red Sea.

They are left facing each other. Allah Almighty tells Moses: strike the sea with your staff. He acts through a means anyway. Twelve passages open up. The people of Israel are 12 companies anyway; each company continues on its own path. Seeing this, Pharaoh too, to catch Moses, plunges into the Red Sea with his soldiers, and Allah Almighty joins the sea together again and there, along with his soldiers, Pharaoh He destroys. And so, in Surah Yunus, verse 92, today I will leave your lifeless body as a lesson for the worlds, He says. And indeed We sent Moses with Our signs and a clear proof, it says.

And Pharaoh's people were among the rebellious. Because Pharaoh had declared himself god, and that he was god, his people he had made believe, and his people had begun to worship Pharaoh as god. At the same time Pharaoh and his people had exceeded the limit in oppressing the Children of Israel. They made them work in the heaviest jobs. The worst jobs, the heaviest jobs. They made them work, and they received a wage barely enough to make a living.
