Translation
Verily, in this, there is a lesson for those who fear the punishment of the hereafter. That day is a day on which all mankind is summoned and a day on which (all creation) is present.
Tafsir
Surely there are signs in these events for a people who believe in Allah and the Hereafter. Because Allah is Life. He is the Giver of life to His creatures and the Everlasting One. His creations are not free and irresponsible. So just as every human being is responsible for something, every human being is individually responsible for his or her duty of servitude to Allah. So people who believe that the resurrection after death is true, and that the day of reckoning is also true, should take lessons from these events.
When the Day of Judgment breaks and order is restored, when people are resurrected on the Day of Reckoning, all creatures will be gathered together, just as all people are gathered together. Because Allah says (Fa man ya'mel musala zaratin fan yerah. And man ya'mel miskala zerratin sharran yerah) according to the verse (And man ya'mel miskala zerratin sharran yerah). Allah is the Judge of the Judges (Al-Allahu bi ahkamil hakimin). He will decide between them with justice. In return for the hurt they inflicted on each other in this world, Allah will destroy them in the Hereafter after they have received their rights from each other. Except one pair from each creation. But when man is subjected to torment, when he disobeys Allah and His Messenger and sees the pain and torment in the Hereafter, he will envy the absence of animals and cry out, "Where is destruction?" because death will never touch man again!
What is said in the video
Yes, indeed, for a people who believe in Allah and the Hereafter and have faith, surely in these events there are lessons. Because Allah is Hayy. Hayy means the Living, the One who gives life to the worlds.
All the worlds find life from Allah, but Allah is free of the worlds. That Allah Almighty is outside time and space, that His creations within time and space are in need of Allah, and that Allah Almighty is not in need of His creations — this lies within the attribute Hayy.
He gives life to His creations and remains forever, before and after. His creations are not left to roam free and without responsibility. None of His creations is left to roam free and without responsibility. People seem as if they roam free, as if without responsibility, but if truly they knew the truth — under such a responsibility, that on their necks there is a yoke — if only they knew, if only they knew — listen carefully to what I say — if only they knew, they would fall into the state that this hadith describes.
If man knew the truth, it says, he would laugh little and weep much, it says.
What does this mean? You seem without responsibility, but at every moment, on your right and left, what the Kiraman Katibin write, every moment, everything you say, seen as under a camera, and on the Day of Judgment your whole life brought before you down to the finest detail — in the face of the blessings Allah Almighty offers you in such abundance, what kind of attitude your conduct toward Allah Almighty, toward your Creator, has taken — yes, if people could have known these responsibilities, they would laugh little and weep much.
That is why Allah Almighty, so that people too could live a certain life, created them of the kind that forgets. If we did not forget our past states and lived immersed in them, life would be torment for us.
In this case, our Lord's mercy: His creating us of the kind that forgets, programming us that way, giving us an incomplete mind, and, so that before the loftiness of His being we know our helplessness, limiting our mind this way; and that, living a normal life, we recognize our Creator and, for the blessings He has given and for this life, so as not to be ungrateful, have an awareness able to offer our thanks — our knowing our Lord's greatness and our own helplessness symbolizes our being human. That is, our being, as a part from our Lord, addressed by Him — that is what it symbolizes. In this case, so as not to be ungrateful toward our Creator either, giving thanks for the blessings He gave, going on the path He gave, and even if we commit errors — and we do, for He did not create us without error — since the errors we have committed also fit Allah Almighty's purpose in creating, right away, with a repentance, since we will also attain (?) from the Hereafter, in Allah's sight it raises our rank.
Yes. As human beings we are under a great responsibility. We are not left to roam free.
He gives life to His creations, before and forever He remains; His creations are not left to roam free and without responsibility. So, just as every person has taken on responsibility within certain things, every person too, as an individual, in the duty of servanthood toward Allah is responsible. People who believe that resurrection after death is true and that the questioning on that Day of Reckoning is true must take lessons from these events. When the Hour comes and the order is set up again, on that Day of Reckoning, when people are raised again, just as all people will be together, all creatures too will be gathered together.
Because Allah — ve men ya'mel miskâle zerratin hayran yerah, ve men ya'mel miskâle zerratin şerran yerah — will justly give all creatures the recompense of what they earned. Allah is the judge of judges. He will judge between them with justice. The creatures gathered besides man, having, while in the world, among one another hurt each other — and in return, after they take their rights from one another in the Hereafter, Allah will annihilate them. Along with the other creatures.
Except one pair of every created kind. One pair each. Of canaries, of oxen, of donkeys, of horses — that is, one pair of every created kind excepted. They will enter Paradise. The first created ones, these. I am a witness to a being's form of first creation. The secret of secrets, as it is called, the secret of secrets. But not to how He created it while creating. This much we can say — that part is forbidden — that creature's creation, in such a form that, within its body, in the duty it will perform, without any difficulty — our Lord's creating; and 'had You created me, for the duty I am to do, in this way, I would more easily have performed that duty of mine' —
'I struggled while doing this duty' — it will not be able to say.
He created it that way, complete and perfect. And I am a witness to that too. To how it is. I am a witness to it. Here Allah Almighty's verse becomes manifest. Since people do not know these places, for their minds to grasp — that is, for minds to grasp these places is hard. 'While creating these worlds, Satan and his companions We did not take as witnesses for Ourselves,' He says. So there are those He did take as witnesses. And that is me.
This is what is called the secret of secrets.
I had a saying for you: I said, up to here you know me, from here on you cannot know me any more — they said it, you know; after that there is nothing, the mind cannot grasp that place. However, when man becomes subject to punishment, having opposed Allah and His Messenger, when he sees that pain and punishment in the Hereafter, he will envy the animals their nonexistence. Since death will never touch them again, people — 'Destruction, where are you?' — will cry out. May Allah protect us from such a group.
