For you to understand, We have sent it as a Qur’an in Arabic.
Tafsir
When we are addressed by Allah (swt) in the spirit world, Allah (swt) has programmed our intellect, which we call the intellect maad, with the Arabic language so that we can understand the word of Allah (swt). Allah (swt) programmed Arabic as a language because it is the richest language of the universe. All languages are derived from Arabic.
Our ancestor Adam used to speak Arabic. When he left Paradise and came to the world, he continued to speak in Arabic. Later, when the people who descended from our ancestor Adam began to spread throughout the world, they gave names to the objects they found and in this way, each tribe came to have its own spoken language.
In this respect, the Holy Qur'an was sent in Arabic because our souls know Arabic, even if people speak different languages, so that there is no discrimination, so that the Holy Qur'an can be easily understood, because our minds, which we call the intellect maad given to our souls, were programmed in Arabic in the realm of Lahut. Since the language of Allah is the richest language, even the Arabic language was not enough to explain the word of Allah. In this respect, in order for human beings, who were created mentally incomplete, to be able to understand the Holy Qur'an in the most perfect way, Allah programmed Arabic, the closest and richest language to the word of Allah, into the souls of human beings, so that even if different languages were spoken in the realm of property, the Arabic language would be pleasing to people because it is Arabic in origin and people would like it.
It is because of the Arabic language, which is inherent in the character of people, that Allah (swt) sent the Holy Qur'an in Arabic, so that the Holy Qur'an can be better understood by people, without any distinction in origin between people. That is why Allah (swt) sent the Holy Quran in Arabic.
What is said in the video
In Surah Yusuf, verse 2. What does Allah Almighty say about the Holy Quran? So that you may understand, We sent it down as an Arabic Quran, in Arabic. Earlier we said that in the world of spirits, when Allah Almighty created us, into us our Lord's language of speech, into the akl-ı maad in our spirits, was inscribed.
With this mind we call akl-ı maad we will understand Allah Almighty's speech. Of course: He created the spirit. He says, "I am your Lord." If the person does not know speech, how would he know that it is your Lord? But He also programmed that speech into that mind of theirs. For example, its most obvious form, the proof of this, is in the world of spirits. That speech which He inscribed into that mind, the akl-ı maad, while in the world of spirits — its finest example, its proof, we see in Jesus. He speaks in his mother's womb. He speaks in the cradle. The speech is clear.
That speech is clear. Now, children start speaking at two, two and a half. They speak at three. At the latest they speak at four. Is it you who teaches him: this is iron, this is a knife, this is soil, this is a tree, this is an egg, this is a bird? Is it you who teaches him: he came, he went, I ate bread, I had a meal, that one went there, this one went here, it came like this, it went like that — how nicely he speaks, the child. Where does he know it from? For the setting he would come into, into that memory, that language of speech He placed. Bit by bit, bit by bit, Allah Almighty — as the child grows, those words pour out of that child.
Bit by bit they pour out of his mouth. (?) the child speaks as if he does not know. "Oh, he spoke!" we say. Well, of course he speaks. But nobody grasps how he speaks. No one thinks about it. How did he speak? So Allah Almighty placed speech in our spirits, in that mind we call akl-ı maad, and with our Lord's language of speech, the Arabic language — when He said "I am your Lord", since all the spirits grasped Arabic very well, since they knew it, since they knew these at the root — so that man understands the Quran better, — the essence of each of us speaking the same language at the root, the Holy Quran, Allah Almighty in this case sends to people so that it is better understood.
If there, with all sorts of different languages — that is, if they had not known Arabic, if people in the world of spirits had not known Allah's word, what would they have said? "I didn't understand anything of what you said." For example, like what? Now, a person who doesn't know English comes, an Englishman speaks to him. What does the person opposite say? "I don't understand what you are saying." And the Englishman says, "You spoke too, but I don't understand what you are saying either." Yet when Allah Almighty spoke, all the spirits knew His speech, understood it. He speaks to all of them accordingly.
So, because He spoke Arabic at the root, so that everyone would understand it better, We sent it in Arabic. You won't be able to say, "I don't know Arabic," the other doesn't know Arabic, the other English, French — but it is there at the root. Because it is at the root — for example, what does this resemble? It resembles the testimony of faith. For example, we say: Eşhedü en la ilahe illallah ve eşhedü enne Muhammeden abdühü ve resulü. Well now, we have not seen Allah Almighty. From Allah Almighty. Or we say, "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah. Muhammad is His servant and messenger," we say now.
Without our having seen, isn't Allah Almighty making us bear false witness?
He isn't. From where? In that address "Elestü bi-Rabbiküm", when He said "I am your Lord", when all the spirits were divided into three classes, there everyone saw Allah Almighty. And the Prophet beside Him — they know that he is His Messenger and servant. In that case: "I bear witness that there is no god besides that Allah. And Muhammad (peace be upon him) is His servant and Messenger." He has us say it. Where? Because you saw it at the root. For example, to give one more illustration of this with a verse: What does it say about the unbelievers? "They are lying unbelievers," it says. Liars. Well, is there no one among them who tells the truth?
No. Why? Because to the unbelievers who at the root denied the One who created them — what does Allah Almighty say? "They are lying unbelievers." Because they denied at the root. So what does Allah Almighty say with His word? If He says "We sent it in Arabic so that it is better understood", since at the root we all know Arabic, even those who say "I was French, the other was English, what was I?" at the root know Arabic; since the Quran came down in eloquent Arabic, it more or less rules a person's heart, so everyone is more or less familiar with Arabic. And in all languages (?). The richest language on earth is Arabic.
Yes.
Having opened this up to you this far, we move on to our lesson. Within the same lesson, we move on to our tafsir. When we were honoured with Allah Almighty's address in the world of spirits, Allah Almighty, so that we could understand Allah's word, programmed our mind, which we call akl-ı maad, with Arabic as its language. Yes.
Allah Almighty programming it with the Arabic language is because it is the richest language of the universe. All people and all languages derived from Arabic. Our father Adam spoke Arabic.
When he left Paradise and came to the world, he continued speaking in the Arabic language. Later, when the people descended from our father Adam began to spread over the world, they gave names of their own to the things they found, and in this way each people came to have a spoken language of its own.
Now, because I experienced it here, I say it; because I saw it, I say it.
Like this: even in our world, when we speak, let's say we speak English, it is translated (?) into French, German, Turkish, and the person understands what he says. And wherever on earth people are going to go, that speech is additionally inscribed into that person, additionally.
And when that person comes to the earth, that speech is ready in him. It starts to open up in the child, and he begins to speak.
What did I tell you? I say it, I tell it because I lived it. Because at the covenant there, I too was speaking Turkish. Turkish, not Arabic. I was speaking Turkish. I was speaking with this spoken language. So this — the programming of that spoken language there: "We send every prophet in the language of his own people," it says. At the root there is Arabic, but in the people he will go to, or when he comes to earth, whichever people he will come to, he comes with that people's language. And that people too, with its own language. That is, he comes with that language. But at the root there is Arabic.
I suppose this part is understood better now. Yes.
Therefore, because at the root our spirits know Arabic, even if in people's (?) there are people speaking different languages, so that there is no discrimination, the Holy Quran, so that it is easily understood, and because our mind called akl-ı maad, given to our spirits, was programmed in Arabic in the (?) world, the Holy Quran was sent in Arabic. Since Allah's language is the richest language, even the Arabic language was not enough to convey Allah's word. Therefore, so that man, created (?), can understand the Holy Quran in the most perfect way, Arabic, the language closest to Allah's word and the richest, He programmed into people's spirits; and even if in the material world it is spoken differently by different people, since Arabic is at the root, Arabic speech is pleasant to people and people like it. Yes. Arabic speech pleases a person.
Now let me also tell you about something I experienced. I am in Arabia. I am in Medina, let me say (?). Children are playing. When they get angry at each other, they say "Sallallahu Muhammed". Sallallahu Muhammed. They speak so nicely, so sweetly. They speak so gently. The way those children speak draws you in. So it is there from before; it gives you familiarity. It is there from before. But it hasn't been unlocked, hasn't opened up. You have heard it. Toward something you have not heard you cannot, so heartily, with such pleasure, be drawn to them. Yes. We experienced all of these, I mean. Allah Almighty makes a person experience them.
So, with the Arabic language in people's characters, Allah Almighty sending the Holy Quran in Arabic is so that there is no division among people at the root. Yes. It is so that the Holy Quran is better understood by people.
Therefore Allah Almighty sent the Holy Quran in Arabic. Yes.
