Or, do you believe that most of them will listen (to advice) or contemplate? No, they are like animals; they have gone even more astray (than animals) in their path.
Tafsir
All the Verses of Allah (swt) support each other. (Or do you think that most of them will really listen or think?) In this verse, when Allah (swt) made a covenant with these people, He made their desires and wishes known to them as their destiny, and since He knew what kind of traits and characters those who disbelieve in Allah have, He made the situation of these people known to all people by informing His Messenger.
(When he says, "Do you really think that most of them will listen or think?"), he means that there are some people among them, those who have made a good covenant with Allah, who choose the path of guidance and are saved by embracing Islam. These people were among the kuffar, and their conversion to Islam is their return to their original religion. Allah (swt) says that those who attain guidance in disbelief are fewer than those who choose the path of disbelief. In this respect, the term "most of them" is used for those who do not obey Allah, indicating that they cannot think and are like animals, even more astray.
As for the fact that they are more astray than animals, Allah (swt) has created human beings honorable. He left them alone with their free will and gave them their will as their destiny. Allah (swt) is exempt from imperfect attributes. Having made a covenant with our souls in the spirit world, Allah has left our wills to our wills. Allah (swt) has programmed all His creatures and creations, other than human beings and jinn, for the tasks they will perform according to His will and desire. For this reason, any creature or animal in the universe performs its job very well and skillfully even though it has not learned it from anyone. Allah (swt) has given the animals He has created a characterization of their duties and they know their duties.
Man, on the other hand, was left alone with his own will and asked Allah for his will. Allah (swt) has given the desires of these people as their character and has written these characters as their destiny. With the talents that Allah (swt) has given to man, man uses these talents within his own will. In the face of receiving rewards and sins for his deeds, a person makes Allah (swt) witness himself and his surroundings.
In this case, if man has made his covenant with Allah as a rebel, then Allah (swt) says that they are even more astray than the animals in the way they go, because they live their lives in perversity, inferior to the animals in their will by using their own ability.
Even if such people hear the truth, their ears are blocked against the truth. In other words, they do not want to hear the word of truth, they are deaf. Their eyes are also blind. Thousands of miracles appear before their eyes and they do not see them, they are blind. Their hearts are also sealed in terms of understanding and knowing Allah. They will not return to Allah in this state for eternity.
Allah (swt) says in this Ayat (verse): "Do you really think that most of them will listen or think?" (Nay, they are like animals, and they are even more astray). These people are neither thinking nor seeing the truth. All their desires and wishes are to eat, drink and enjoy themselves in the world.
What is said in the video
Surah Al-Furqan, verse 44. Or do you think that most of them really will listen or reason? it says. No, they are like animals. Indeed, they are even further astray from the path.
Now look at the verse, how beautifully Allah Almighty says it. For one who understands, a mosquito is a saz. For one who does not understand, (?). Here there is speech within the speech. Or do you think that most of them really will listen or reason? Why does it not say "all of them" but "most of them really"?
Look at the wording. Because among them there are those who will turn back, that is why. Had it said all, none of them would turn back.
How beautiful the wording is.
All the verses of Allah Almighty support one another. This verse describes the "Alastu bi-Rabbikum". Or do you think that most of them really will listen or reason? In this verse Allah Almighty, since when He made the covenant with these people He wrote their wishes and desires for them as destiny, and knows what traits and characters those who deny Allah have, by informing His Beloved of the condition of these people, announces it to all people.
Why does it say most?
Because, as with the father of Abraham, He brings forth a Muslim from the hands of unbelievers. Of Abraham.
And from a prophet of Islam He brings forth an unbelieving (?). Like the son of Noah. That is, so that people do not say: had You created me in the land of Islam, had I been born in the land of Islam, I too would have been a Muslim, so that you do not say that, into an unbeliever's loins He brings a believer, a Muslim soul, and places it. In that land of unbelief, that Muslim person, after a while, because obedience is in his nature, because faith is in it, simply turns back to his Lord. That is the person Allah Almighty will show them. And in the land of Islam, are there no unbelievers?
Today, is there no one who sells his religion for material gain to the age's greatest hypocrite?
There are. These appear before our eyes. So how beautiful the verse is. Complete. Yes.
No, it says, they are like animals, those who are astray are like animals. Why are they like animals? Let an animal loose in the meadow, it eats until evening, eats until evening, when evening comes it lies down and chews the cud. These too keep trying to (?) the world, trying to get into the swamp; the more they sink the more they sink, and when, at the point of barely breathing, they reach the swamp where they will now die, they lie on their back and think a little. That is, they digest it. They think about the filth they will (?) again. Like an animal. They think of nothing but the world. They will only eat and enjoy pleasure.
Like an animal. Well, they will carry on living. Of the Creator of the worlds: every soul shall taste death; the inheritance of the heavens and the earth will remain to Allah. According to these verses, that all these created things will remain to Allah, realizing and reflecting on it and turning to Allah, with selfish feelings of the nafs and the yoke Satan has put on your neck, you can never return to your Lord. In this case he sells his world to the hereafter; for a few transient hours in the world he has sought hell, the abode of eternal life. If not an animal, what is it? It says they are even more astray in their course.
Indeed, they are even further astray from the path. Why are they more astray? Allah Almighty does not call the animal astray. They are like animals. Indeed, even beyond that, they are even further astray from the path. Because Allah Almighty has designed every animal for the duty it will perform. Do not look for deviance in them. Each one does its duty. But man, with his own mind, takes various deviant ways as his banner. Like the people of Lot. Even worse, even worse, unimaginable immoralities they bring forth. So if these are not more astray than animals, what are they? Allah Almighty gives you, too, gives these people three or two calamities.
Still they do not come to their senses.
Today, among animals there is no bond with their own sex, well. But people form bonds with their own sex. If this is not a deviant path, what is it? Yes.
In this verse Allah Almighty, since when He made the covenant with these people He wrote their wishes and desires for them as destiny, and knows what traits and characters those who deny Allah have, by informing His Beloved of the condition of these people, announces it to all people. Namely, when it says, do you think that most of them really will listen or reason, some among these people, those who gave Allah a good covenant, choose the path of guidance, are honored with Islam and attain salvation. Are there any? There are. There are. In all four corners of the world, in every state there are non-Muslims who have become Muslim.
In England? There are. In France? There are. In Germany? There are. In America? There are. Whichever country of the world you like, there are. Why? Because Allah Almighty is free of deficient attributes. So that no one says: had You raised me in the land of Islam, there, well, had You created me, I would have become a Muslim, so that no one says that. Yes.
Among these people, some, those who gave Allah a good covenant, choosing the path of guidance and being honored with Islam, attain salvation. Since these people are among the unbelievers, their choosing Islam is their returning to their origin. Allah Almighty announces that those who find guidance within unbelief are fewer than those who choose the path of unbelief. Therefore, using the expression "most of them" for those who do not obey Allah, that they cannot reason, that they are like animals and are even further astray from the path, He announces. As for their being further astray from the path than animals: Allah Almighty created human beings honorable.
Leaving them alone with their partial will, He gave people their wishes as destiny. Allah Almighty is free of deficient attributes. Allah, who made a covenant with our souls in the realm of souls, has left our wishes to our own wills. All His creatures and creations other than humans and jinn, Allah Almighty, by His own will and wish, has programmed for the duties they will perform. That is why any creature or animal in the universe, although it has learned its own task from no one, expresses it very well, in a masterly way. Expresses it. So Allah Almighty has made known to the animals He created the duties they will perform through characters. They know their duties.
Man, however, left alone with his own will, asked of Allah his own wish. And Allah Almighty gave these people's wishes to them as character and wrote these characters as the destiny of the people themselves. With the abilities Allah Almighty gave man, man, within his own will, uses these abilities. Through the deeds he has done, in return for receiving rewards and sins, man, before Allah Almighty, against himself and those around him, has made himself a witness. In this case, if man gave his covenant to Allah as a rebel, using his own ability too, within his will, lives his life in deviations even lower than animals, Allah Almighty says about them that in their course, that is, on the path, they are more astray than animals, they are astray.
Such people (?), their ears are closed to the truth. That is, they do not want to hear the word of truth; they are deaf. Their eyes are blind too; thousands of miracles appear before their eyes and they do not see, they are blind. Their hearts too are sealed against remembering and knowing Allah. With this condition of theirs, they never return to Allah. So in this verse Allah Almighty says: Or do you think that most of them really will listen or reason? No. They are like animals. Indeed, they are even further astray from the path. These people are in a state where they neither think nor see the truth.
All their wishes and desires are to eat, drink and enjoy pleasure in the world.
Yes.
