Translation

It is Allah Who has sent the winds as a glad tiding in front of its blessings. And We have sent down from the sky a pure water.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) brings all kinds of proofs to people for the proof of His Essence. In this verse, He mentions the winds and the rains, the formation of these rains and the life they give to His creatures.

Allah (swt) has created every living thing from water. In this respect, water is life for living things. Towns without water are arid and neither human beings nor living things can dwell there. For this reason, He speaks of the rains so that people may remember Allah by longing for their Creator, just as His creatures long for water.

Winds are the precursors and messengers of rain. The way the wind is formed; It is a formation that occurs as a result of the air layer event called low pressure and high pressure. Since the air is lighter at low pressure than at high pressure, a current occurs as a result of the air layer rising and being replaced by the air layer we call high pressure. This current creates winds. Since the air layer is cold in a high pressure event, when the condensed water vapor encounters the cold layer, it forms rains as a result of the compression of the clouds.

Allah (swt) explains how the winds are formed and how these winds are the precursors and heralds of the rains, and how Allah (swt), the Creator of these events, gives life to His creatures with water.

What is said in the video

We have come to verse 48 of Surah Al-Furqan.

It is Allah who, ahead of His mercy, as a herald of good news, sends the winds. And He sends down pure water from the sky. Now how is wind formed? Let us explain to you a little how wind forms. There are weather phenomena called high pressure and low pressure. In low pressure, warmed air begins to rise. Upward. Behind it, the cold air layer rushes into the place of that warmed air layer. And this brings about wind. In this case, the cold air advancing toward that low pressure is a sign that after it rain, that is, mercy, will fall. The forerunners of rain are the winds. Well, the cold layer behind, when the cold layer is compressed, This disappeared.

It did something, it opened. Okay. Sometimes it closes, this thing isn't...

Yes, we said that winds are the forerunners of rain. In the cold air layer coming behind, let us (?) how the rain falls, like this. When water vapor rises, when water vapor meets the cold layer, a compression occurs. From this compression, raindrops form and fall as rain. So Allah Almighty too tells us that rain will fall and that the winds lead the way for it. What does it say here? Let us read. Allah Almighty brings people every kind of evidence to prove His Self. In this verse too, by speaking of the winds and rains, it speaks of how these rains come about and of the waters, creatures, the waters giving life to His creatures.

For example, if one of three things were missing, there would be no life. One is the sun. Without the sun there is no life. One is water. Without it too there is no life. And one is air. Without it too there is no life. If one of these three things were missing, life would disappear. In this case, how Allah Almighty makes water flow for the life of living beings, how with His mercy, well, He gives them life, He tells us in this verse. Allah Almighty created everything from water. For this reason, water gives life to living beings. Lands without water, since they are arid, can neither a person live there?

Nor a plant, either. Earlier there was the Mesopotamian plain, how beautiful it was. It was a fertile plain. Then, when drought came there, they abandoned it. Yes. Therefore, just as the living beings He created yearn for water, so that people, yearning for the One who created them, find life and remember Allah who gives a person life, Allah Almighty speaks of rains and waters. Now, just as we yearn for water, yearn for air, and the sun too, along with these, the things we eat, well, as His mercy Allah Almighty gives us from His provision, our provision, then the one who gives this we surely must know. We must see.

Now, to give an example, a friend of yours is jobless, idle, well, cannot work, or let's say. You keep giving to him, feeding him, giving him drink. And he constantly (?) you. Well, is that right? People are in exactly this situation. They eat and drink and do not thank Allah. They turn their back and go on their way. Surely the giver of this provision, the owner of the universe, Allah, will one day ask us about this. So, to be able to bear this question, let us not be late in the world in giving thanks for the blessings that Allah Almighty has given us. Yes.

Winds are the forerunners and messengers of rain. As for wind's formation (?), from the air-layer event called low pressure and high pressure it is a formation that comes about as a result. In low pressure, since the density of the air is lighter compared to high pressure, the air layer rises and its place is filled by the air layer we call high pressure, and as a result a current arises. This current is what produces the winds. In high pressure, since the air layer is mostly cold, as a result of the condensing water vapor being compressed, rains come about. Yes.

Allah Almighty, how the winds form, and that these winds are the forerunners and heralds of rain, and how Allah, who creates these events, gives life to His creatures with water, declares to people with His verse.

Allah Almighty says everything in essence. In essence. A time comes when people, through the sciences, find these out, and Allah Almighty, in the universe, by announcing many things people have not yet found, makes known that He is the absolute owner of these worlds.

The verse, in the year 1453, isn't it a verse revealed to the Prophet who passed away? The Quran.

How much time has passed from then until now? Is it 1438 years? whatever the Hijri thing is, this much time ago, 1400-odd years ago, in the Holy Quran it speaks of the deep darkness of the oceans; today truly the oceans have such dark places, and here science proves it. For example, We let fresh water and salt water loose upon each other; they never mix, it says. Captain Cousteau's shouting in the Strait of Gibraltar: I found it. What did you find? Fresh water and salt water, he says, do not mix, I found this. What you are saying, he says, the Holy Quran said 1400-odd years earlier, he says. Well, it is written in the book, he says.

So these many miraculous verses tell us that besides Allah there is no god in the universe, that He is the absolute creator of this universe, and that He did not bring us into this world in vain; that, so that we may know His Self, Allah Almighty created man as the one addressed by His Self; this it tells through all causes and events. Yes.
