Translation

Verily, We have explained this in different forms so that people would take advice. But most people have insisted on disbelief with ungratefulness.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) has explained the rains to people in various ways. Allah (swt) withheld the rains from the people who disobeyed Allah (swt) and subjected them to droughts in order to make them wise and turn to Him (swt). In this respect, He has continued the phenomenon of drought and lack of rainfall on some tribes since ancient times. For example, the people of Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' also suffered drought due to their disobedience, and Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' gathered his people and prayed to Allah (swt) for the rains to come again.

Allah forgives the people who return to the Essence of Allah (swt) in repentance. He sends rain that gives life to living beings. These events also occur in our time. Our people in drought-stricken lands pray for rain, asking Allah (swt) to remove the calamity from them. Allah (swt) accepts the prayers of these people who turn to Him and gives them the rain they need immediately.

Despite the fact that these apparent events occur in front of the eyes of the disbelievers, the disbelieving disbelievers and people who do not want to believe in Allah persist in not believing in Allah, even though they see these clear miracles of Allah, they persist in not believing in Allah, they eat and drink the blessings of Allah, but they do not thank Allah. They are the epitome of ingratitude. Even if a person receives the most insignificant gift from another person, he thanks the person from whom he received the gift. But even though man receives the most precious gifts from Allah (swt), he does not say thank you or show his gratitude.

Allah has given man one of the most precious gifts, his soul, and has created man close to Himself and made him His interlocutor. He has given man a lifetime and good health within that lifetime. Allah has given people Islam as a religion that will save them from darkness and bring them to His light, and has shed light on their path with the Holy Qur'an. He created man as the equal of creation and made him the caliph of the earth. He has placed the world at man's disposal, and by giving man his own will, He has given him freedom, and within this freedom, He has given man a sovereignty. In this respect, every human being is a commander and caliph of the earth because he makes his own decisions. The blessings that Allah has bestowed upon human beings are endless and pages would not be enough to list them here. So man should know his Creator and be grateful to Him and avoid ingratitude. But if man continues to be ungrateful to Allah (swt), then he is destined for the eternal punishment of Allah (swt), which, Allah forbid, is Hell. It is a very bad place.

What is said in the video

Verse 50 of Surah Al-Furqan. Indeed, We have explained this among them in various ways so that people may take admonition. But most people insist on nothing but ingratitude. How beautifully He says it. We did these so that people may take admonition. He says. But people, He says, went far in ingratitude and still said they would continue in that ingratitude. Allah Almighty has explained the falling of the rains to people in various ways. Against peoples who opposed Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty cut off the rains and, by exposing them to droughts, wanted them to come to their senses and turn to His Being.

Therefore, since the ancient peoples, He has kept up the lack of rain and drought over some peoples. For example, to the people of Moses (peace be upon him) too He gave drought because of their disobedience. Moses (peace be upon him) gathered his people and, having them pray to Allah Almighty, asked for the rains to fall again.

The peoples who turned to His Being with their remorse, Allah forgave and at once sent down His rains. These events occur in our time too. Our people in lands suffering drought go out for the rain prayer and, asking Allah Almighty to lift the affliction from them, from us, they pray. And Allah Almighty accepts the prayers of these people who turn to Him and at once sends down His rains. So, even though these outward events occur openly before the eyes of the deniers, the denying unbelievers and people who do not want to believe in Allah still dig in their heels and, despite seeing these clear miracles of Allah, in not believing in Allah they persist.

They eat and drink the blessings Allah has given. They do not thank Allah and are ungrateful. If a person receives even the cheapest gift from another person, to the person he received it from he expresses thanks. But although man receives the most precious gifts from Allah Almighty, he does not give this thanks and does not fulfil his gratitude. What is the most precious gift he received from Allah Almighty? That He gave him life, that He gave from His spirit. There is no gift more precious than this. Will you cite verses? I will. What does Allah Almighty say? Lekad halakne'l-insâne fî ahseni takvîm.

I created man in the most beautiful form, He says. Yes. And Allah Almighty says this in another verse too.

And He created man as eşrefü'l-mahluk, that is, the most honoured of creatures. Can there be a greater treasure than this? Moreover, by creating you close to His Being, I have honoured you above the worlds, He says. Above the worlds. The created beings. Jinn, angels, this world, the Hereafter, whatever there is. Why so honoured? Because He gave from His spirit, he is honoured. Yes.

In this case, although Allah Almighty gives man so much value, if man turns his back on Him and goes away, this person's feelings called humanity, the things called conscience, have disappeared. As Allah Almighty decrees in His verse, they fall into the state of people counted among the group of four-legged animals. Yes. Allah gave man from His spirit, the most precious of His gifts, and created man close to His Being and addressed him. He gave man a lifetime and health within this lifetime; Allah gave people the religion of Islam, which will rescue them from the darknesses and bring them to His light, as their religion, and held a light before them with His Holy Quran.

He created man the most honoured of creatures and made him vicegerent on earth. He placed the world under man's command and, by giving man his own will into his hand, set him free, and within this freedom granted man autonomy. Therefore, since every person makes his own decision himself, he is in the position of a commander. The blessings Allah gives people never end; to list them here, pages would not suffice. So man shall know the One who created him and, by thanking Him, be saved from ingratitude. But if man continues his ingratitude toward Allah Almighty, then he has sought Allah's eternal punishment, and, may Allah protect us, its place as a location is Hell. What a very bad place it is, we say.

Yes.
