Translation

“Send him with us tomorrow (to the plains) so that he can eat (and drink) abundantly and play. We will certainly protect him.”

Tafsir

The brothers of Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' asked their father for Yusuf in the trap they had set for him, saying, "We will go to the countryside tomorrow, send Yusuf with us, he will get some air, travel, play, eat, drink, and we will protect him and bring him back to you.

They tried to persuade Ya'qub 'alaihis-salâm' to take Hazrat Yusuf from their father by telling him that Hazrat Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' should know their surroundings, see the conditions in the field and benefit from the blessings there.

What is said in the video

they asked for Joseph (peace be upon him). Tomorrow him with us, the 12th verse, this: Send him with us tomorrow to the countryside, so he may eat, drink and play; we will surely protect him, they say. Because Jacob (peace be upon him), knowing that he would be a prophet, does not entrust him to his brothers; as he raised him under his own protection, his brothers want to take him out into the open. Let him get some air, eat, drink, pass the time. We are his brothers. Entrust him to us, they say. Yes. The brothers of Joseph (peace be upon him), within the trap they set for Joseph (peace be upon him), asked their father for Joseph.

Tomorrow we are going to the countryside. Send Joseph with us too. He will get some air, roam about, play, (?). And we will protect him. We will bring him straight back to you, they say. Saying that Joseph (peace be upon him) should get to know his surroundings, see how things are in the open country, and that they make use of the blessings there too, they try to win Jacob (peace be upon him) over, to take Joseph from their father.

Yes. They say, remember: you have never sent Joseph (peace be upon him) anywhere. If he were left alone tomorrow, he would get lost in the open country. Let us take him, show him around the area, show him, let him get to know these places. Entrust him to us. We are his brothers. We do not wish him harm. So let us prepare him for life, that is, show him, they say, trying to persuade their father.
