Translation

A caravan came, and they sent their water men (to the well), and he let down his bucket. (When he saw Joseph), he said “good news! This is a boy.” They kept him for trade. Allah knows what they were doing.

Tafsir

While Hadrat Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' was in the well waiting for someone to save him, a caravan came. There are wells on the roads of caravans. As the caravans pass through these wells, people meet the water needs of both their animals and themselves. Because the surroundings are desert, water is not available everywhere. In this respect, they take a break at each wellhead to fulfill their needs.

So the caravaner sends his waterman to the well to get water. When the waterman releases his bucket into the well, he sees a boy in the well. He immediately returns and calls out to the caravan; they say, "Good news, there is a boy in the well. So they take Hazrat Yusuf from the well and keep him with them as trade goods. The caravan continues on its way. But those in the caravan are restless. Surely this child has an owner. If they look for this child and find him in the caravan, they will be in trouble. Therefore, they do not value the child very much. When they returned to Egypt, they sold them for a small amount of money.

Allah (swt) knows very well what all people want to do. He prepares plans accordingly and through these events that Allah has prepared, Allah fulfills His Will. In fact, these events have already been prepared from the past to the hereafter within the destinies of the people according to their desires and wishes.

What is said in the video

A caravan came, Verse 19: a caravan came and they sent their water-drawer to the well. He went and let down his bucket; on seeing Joseph he said, 'Good news, here is a boy.' They hid him as merchandise, and Allah knows very well what they do, it says. Yes. While Joseph (peace be upon him) is in the well, waiting for someone to rescue him, a caravan arrives.

There are wells along the caravan routes. From these wells the caravan people water their animals, themselves and the travellers as well. As the caravans pass through, people meet both their animals' and their own need for water. Because all around is desert. Water is not found everywhere. For this reason they stop at every well and meet their needs. So the caravan leader sends his water-drawer to the well to meet their need for water. When the water-drawer lets his bucket down into the well, he sees a boy in the well. He at once turns and calls out to the caravan. What joy, good tidings! There is a boy in the well, they say.

Thereupon they take Joseph (?). They take him along with them as merchandise to trade. The caravan continues on its way. But the people in the caravan are uneasy. Surely this boy has an owner. If these people search for the boy and find him in the caravan, they will be in trouble. For this reason they do not value the boy much. When they reach Egypt, they get rid of him for a little money. Allah Almighty is the one who knows very well what all people intend to do. He prepares plans accordingly, and with these events Allah has prepared, Allah Almighty fulfils His will. In fact these events, (?), are within people's destinies according to their wishes and desires.

From the very beginning to the end they have been prepared. Allah Almighty has programmed them.
