Yusuf 21: The man who bought him in Egypt said to his wife, “value him and take good care of him. He might be of benefit to us. Or we might adopt him.” And as such (for him to rule in Egypt with justice) and so that We would teach him the interpretation of dreams, We placed Joseph to that place. Tafsir
According to history, the person who bought Hadrat Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' in Egypt was the finance minister of Egypt. They did not have any children. When he realized the farsightedness and intelligence in Yusuf, he told his wife to take good care of this child, in the hope that he would be useful to us. In other words, if he is accurate in his calculations and decisions, hopefully in the future when we are old, he will take our place and help us. Or we adopt it.
Thus, Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' settled in a good place in Egypt. Allah (swt) will also teach Yusuf the interpretation of his previous dreams.
Allah is all-powerful. Allah is the One who fulfills His decree. In fulfilling this decree, He creates causes for people and events within these causes. People commit these events and receive sins and rewards. Allah also decrees what these people will do within their destiny. He shows us that no human being can escape from their destiny. People who do not know what Allah's decree is do not know Allah's decree, i.e. that He has wisdom in His decree, because there are many people who connect Allah, the Creator of these events, and these events and causes to each other, even though they do the deeds themselves. They say, "So and so did this or said that and I said that. However, while people live their destiny, they do not remember Allah, Who has created causes within their destiny in the direction of their desires and wishes. That is why it says that Allah is able to fulfill His command within the destiny of people, but most people do not know this.
What is said in the video
The man in Egypt who bought him said to his wife: value him, look after him well; perhaps he will be of use to us, or we will adopt him as a son.
And so We settled Joseph in that land, so that he would rule with justice in Egypt and so that We would teach him the interpretation of the events in dreams. Allah is able to carry out His command. But most people do not know this.
This was the verse. We are explaining it. According to historical accounts, the man in Egypt who bought Joseph (peace be upon him) was Egypt's Minister of Finance. Yes.
Before explaining this part, it is worth adding here some information about Joseph (peace be upon him). After Joseph (peace be upon him) was trained by our Lord, when he came to be in charge of finance there, that is, of their financial affairs, and became a highly respected person, the Pharaoh there and all the people loved Joseph very much. In fact, when Joseph died, so that nobody would take him, they placed him in a coffin, a sturdy coffin. They put it into the river Nile. According to the narrations, Moses (peace be upon him) takes Joseph's coffin out and buries him in the normal way.
So, according to historical accounts, the man in Egypt who bought Joseph (peace be upon him) was Egypt's Minister of Finance.
They had no children either. When this man understood Joseph's foresight (?) and his intelligence, he told his wife: look after this boy well, perhaps he will be of use to us. That is, since he is accurate in the decisions he makes in accounting matters, perhaps in the future, when we grow old, he will take our place and help us. Or we should adopt him as a son.
In this way Joseph (peace be upon him) came to be settled in a good place in Egypt. Allah Almighty would also teach Joseph the interpretation of the dreams he had seen before. Allah Almighty has power over all things. Allah is the one who carries out His decree. While carrying out this decree, He creates causes for people, and events within these causes. By carrying out these events, people earn sin and reward. Moreover, Allah keeps what these people will do within their destinies under His decree. He thus shows us that no person can escape his destiny by running away. People who do not know what Allah's decree is, although they do the things done by themselves, Allah, who creates these events, and these created events and (?) that bind them to one another, since such people are many, they do not know that Allah's command, that is, that He is wise in His decree, they do not know this.
What do they know only? It went like this, and so we did it like that. Whereas it was in his destiny; Allah Almighty had these. When the time comes, deservedly in (?), through those people's doing, those people, fulfilling their own aims, with (?) and the decisions they have made, will earn reward and sin. And because our Lord knows what these are, people do not know that Allah prepared those causes. They always think they did it themselves.
But while people live their destinies, within their destinies, in the direction of their wishes and desires, they do not remember Allah who (?) the causes. For this reason, within people's destinies, Allah is able to carry out His command. Most people do not know, He says. That is, for this reason, within people's destinies Allah is able to carry out His command. That is, whatever they are going to live, We will (?) for them, and they will prove to Us, before Us, what kind of person they are, He says. In this case Allah Almighty, our Lord, who knows the essence of all that He has (?) and has power over them, through the verses lays before us His existence and that He is aware of everything.
