The woman said; “This is the person you judged me for. Verily, I desired to take advantage from him, but he abstained (from this) with vigor. Verily, if he doesn’t do what I will order him to do, he will be prisoned, and he will be among the miserable ones.”
Tafsir
Zeliha, seeing that the women also admired Hadrat Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm', immediately took courage and said to those who condemned her, to explain to them whom she was in love with and why she should not be condemned: This is the person you condemn and gossip about me.
This time, Zeliha went even further and said openly and recklessly, as if what she was going to do was a good thing, not forgetting that she was married and taking everything into consideration. When she said, "I wanted to take pleasure from his soul," Allah both vindicated Prophet Yusuf (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and showed people the beauty of Prophet Yusuf (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him)'s morals and proved it with the following words of Zeliha. But he avoided (it) vehemently." With that, everything was revealed and she confessed her guilt.
(And if he does not do what I command him, he will surely be thrown into the dungeon and he will surely be of those who crawl). If he does not do what I command him. He is ordering Yusuf to take a will from his soul. If Yusuf refuses this offer, he will be one of those who crawl, that is, he will be thrown into the dungeon. The reason why Zeliha spoke so recklessly is because the other women were also surprised by Hazrat Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' and inclined towards Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm'. Either he will take his soul, or he will put him in a dungeon or beat him.
Zeliha's speaking in this way has some meanings. 1- Because Zeliha was from a respectable family in Egypt, her husband could not do anything to Zeliha, 2- Also, because Zeliha loved Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' very much, in order to prevent any harm to him, she attracted all the currents to herself, so that the life of Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' would be spared.
What is said in the video
has lost. Yes. The woman said: This is the person about whom you blamed me. I sought to seduce him. But he firmly refrained from it. I swear, if he does not do what I command him, he will surely be thrown into prison and will certainly be among the banished, she says. So the woman is still stubborn. Still stubborn.
And shamelessly she can even say this to her friends, I mean. Seeing that the women too were captivated by Joseph (peace be upon him), Zuleikha immediately took courage and, to explain to those who blamed her whom she was in love with and that she should not be blamed, said: This is the person for whom you blamed me and gossiped about me. This time Zuleikha went even further and proudly, as if what she would do were something fine, openly and recklessly, not forgetting that she was married, risking everything, by saying I sought to seduce him — by this Allah both Joseph (peace be upon him) — I sought to seduce him — by her saying this, Allah cleared Joseph (peace be upon him), showing that he was right and that he had not attempted such a thing.
By the woman speaking this way — of course she too, by speaking this way — the (?) made about Joseph (peace be upon him) come to light. Joseph (peace be upon him) is cleared. With him, two more young men entered the prison. Yes.
We have gone too far ahead. Let's see.
Showing the beauty of the character of Joseph (peace be upon him), through these words of Zuleikha He had it proven. With her saying "but he firmly refrained from it", everything came to light. And the woman confessed her guilt. Allah Almighty makes the woman confess her guilt with her own mouth. I swear, if he does not do what she commands, he will surely be thrown into prison and certainly be among the (?). Saying "if he does not do what she commands" is about seducing Joseph (peace be upon him): it is her commanding that. In return, if Joseph rejects this offer, he will be among the (?). That is, he will be thrown into prison.
Yes.
Zuleikha speaking this recklessly is because the other women too, before Joseph (peace be upon him), in astonishment inclined toward Joseph (peace be upon him) — that is why. Either she will seduce him, or have him thrown into prison, or have him beaten. And against this, they say she loves him, that she has him imprisoned so as not to kill him, that then she will release him with a beating, and so on — stories, stories, stories go on. Zuleikha speaking this way has many meanings. One: Zuleikha being from one of Egypt's respected families, her husband being unable to do anything to Zuleikha, Zuleikha is among the respected people; this time the Aziz — Zuleikha, that is, his wife — since she is among the noble people of Egypt, he cannot do anything to her either.
Now in this situation, the other commentators bringing it to words like his losing his manhood, turning a blind eye to Zuleikha, besides justifying the woman — is this right? We say that Zuleikha speaking this way has many meanings. Now we open up the meaning. Zuleikha being from one of Egypt's respected families, her husband being unable to do anything to Zuleikha. Two: that because the manhood of the Aziz (?), Zuleikha's husband, was weak, her husband turned a blind eye to the filth she did, it is said. This falls away. No such thing happened. Moreover, since Zuleikha loved Joseph (peace be upon him) dearly, so that no harm would come to him, she drew all the (?) onto herself so that the life of Joseph (peace be upon him) would be spared — that is what they say this time.
Well, these are fabrications. Of these fabrications, the first one is right. The others are fabrications. Now people bring up these fabrications.
They pin them on the Aziz. Look how well the first one puts it. Zuleikha being respected in Egypt, her husband being unable to do anything to Zuleikha. Yes.
In this situation he cannot divorce her, nor can he throw her out. And people, taking advantage of this, what do they say about him? Her husband — because our Aziz's manhood was weak, her husband turned a blind eye to the filth she did. God forbid, such a thing is not possible anyway for that man. Anyway, since Zuleikha is among the respected people, he cannot do such a thing. He cannot. Because it is a respected family. Would they let him do such a thing to her? And how do we know they were a respected family? They tell the truth. If he attacked, if it is from the front, this one is the liar, Joseph is the liar; if the shirt is torn from behind, the woman is the liar, he says.
So, people of respected families always tell the truth. I mean, also, since Zuleikha loved Joseph (peace be upon him) dearly, so that harm (?) would come to him, drawing all the (?) onto herself, so that Joseph's (peace be upon him) life would be spared, they say. So is it because she draws the (?) onto herself that she says of him: he attacked me? Let me put it this way: out of shame before those around her, I will make him suffer, or have him thrown into prison, or (?), she says of him. Well, these made-up, made-up words, we here
lay open.
