(Joseph) said; “My Dear Lord! For me, imprisonment is better than what they want from me. If you don’t divert their conspiracy from me, I will be inclined to them and be among the ignorant ones.”
Tafsir
We clearly see in this Ayat-i-Karime that the women united among themselves to take pleasure from the soul of Hadrat Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm'.
Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' asked Allah for help against these women; Yusuf said, "O my Lord, a dungeon is better for me than what they ask of me. And when he says, "This is what they want from me", he means the plural. That is, he means the women there. The fact that Hadrat Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' said, "A dungeon is better for me than what they ask of me" proves that the women united among themselves to take pleasure from the soul of Hadrat Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm'. It causes Zeliha to speak recklessly with insistence and pride.
The prayer of Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' to Allah continues (He said, "If you do not turn away their deceit from me, I will incline to them and be of the ignorant ones."). Every human being carries a soul. Humans are created incomplete and helpless. If people do not seek help from Allah and try to solve their own affairs with their intellect, they will fall into mistakes and commit sins because their intellects are created incomplete. It was with the knowledge that Allah had given him that he sensed that Hazrat Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' would be dragged down a series of dark paths into the marshes by the inclination of these women, and he asked for Allah's help.
No matter how secretive a person is, his secretive deeds will surely be heard and he will suffer in his soul. Whatever secret deeds are done in secret are surely seen and known by Allah. There is nothing secret in the sight of Allah. Therefore, when a person commits a crime, even if no one sees it, he should know and realize that Allah sees every living thing and every particle everywhere in the most beautiful way. He should keep his work accordingly.
Moreover, even if every clandestine deed is done with solid plans so that no one will hear about it, because the human mind was created incomplete, this human being will surely make a mistake and this clandestine deed will be revealed. Not every crime goes unpunished in the sight of Allah.
What is said in the video
In Surah Yusuf, verse 33, this time Joseph says: My Lord, for me prison is better than what they ask of me. Now, if a prophet asks for something, Allah does not refuse to give it to him. (?) He creates events through his own request. He makes him ask for it like this. What does Joseph say now? My Lord, prison is better for me than what they ask of me. For if they seduce me, I will be wretched in Your sight. In Allah's sight, that is. I will be abased and incur Allah's wrath. I will incur Allah's wrath, but His love is more excellent to me than going to prison. That is, if you go to prison, if I escape that filth of theirs, that prison, alongside Allah's love, is more excellent for me, he says.
Yes. If You do not turn their schemes away from me, I will incline toward them and be among the ignorant, he said. And if they press me hard, that is, if I no longer have any way out and come to the point of losing my life, that is, if I am cornered, then, he says, I will be, in Your sight, among the ignorant, he says. Keep them away, O my Allah, he says. Because they raised him; he grew up in their hands; everything is under their command. And he is alone; what will they do? He has no protector other than Allah. So he implores Allah like this. So in this verse we clearly see that the women, agreeing among themselves, united to seduce Joseph (peace be upon him).
Yes. The other women too.
What does it say here anyway? Joseph: My Lord, prison, for me, than what these — "these", that is, they have multiplied now — ask of me, is better. Than what they ask of me, prison, he says. Prison is better for me than what they ask of me. If their schemes — now not one person, not only Zuleikha, now they have united in the scheme — I mean, if You do not turn them from me, I will incline toward them and be among the ignorant, he said. So in this verse we clearly see that the women, agreeing among themselves, had united to seduce Joseph (peace be upon him). Joseph (peace be upon him) asks Allah for help against these women.
Joseph: O my Lord, prison is better for me than what they ask of me. So "what these ask of me" — (?) indicates the plural. That is, it refers to the women there. That Joseph (peace be upon him) says "prison is better for me than what they ask" proves that the women, in order to seduce Joseph (peace be upon him), had united among themselves. It also accounts for Zuleikha speaking insistently, proudly and recklessly. The prayer of Joseph (peace be upon him) to Allah goes on: If You do not turn their schemes away from me, I will incline toward them and be among the ignorant, he said. Every human carries a nafs.
Humans were created deficient and weak. If a person does not find help from Allah and tries to solve his affairs with his own reason, since minds are created deficient, people fall into errors and commit sins. So Joseph (peace be upon him), as these women incline toward him, that by a series of dark paths he will be dragged into swamps — this, with the knowledge Allah gave him, he senses, and he asks Allah for help. What does it say? So Joseph (peace be upon him), as these women incline toward him, that by a series of dark paths he will be dragged into swamps — this, with the knowledge Allah gave him, he senses, and he asks Allah for help.
No matter how secretly a person acts, surely what he did is a secret deed, they say. A person suffers harm in his own nafs. All secret deeds are surely seen and known by Allah. In Allah's sight there is no secret deed. Therefore, when a person is about to commit a crime, even if no one has seen it, he must know that Allah sees everywhere every living being and every particle perfectly, and realize it. He must also arrange his deeds accordingly. Moreover, however solidly planned all secret deeds may be so that those around do not hear, even so, since man is created deficient in (?), this person surely makes a mistake and the secret deed he did suddenly comes to light.
No crime committed remains unpunished in Allah's sight. Yes.
