Tafsir
When Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' could not see Bünyamin among his brothers, he made them talk and wanted to get news from his brother Bünyamin. Then he asks. You say you are brothers, you are a very crowded family. He says we give one camel load of food per person in the household. Then they told him that they were not ten brothers, but that they had another brother from father and mother and his name was Benjamin.
Then Hadrat Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' had a camel load of provisions prepared for Bünyamin and gave it to his brothers. He said: Bring your father's brother to me. Do you not see that I am keeping the scale precisely? I believed your words and I had a camel load of provisions prepared for your brother. I am giving this camel load for him.
(I am the best of the hospitable). In other words, I am a person who believes in what people say and wants to help all people in need. I saw that you were a foreigner, and since you were a guest in our country, I thought of your comfort and believed your words.
What is said in the video
Verse 59: when Joseph had prepared their loads, he said, “Bring me also your brother from your father. Do you not see? I give full measure, and I am the best of hosts,” says Joseph, saying it to his brothers. When Joseph (peace be upon him) did not see Benjamin among the brothers, he wants to get them talking and learn about his brother Benjamin. So he asks: you say you are brothers, you are quite a large family; we give one camel-load of provisions per person in a household, he says. Then they say that they are not just ten brothers, that from the same father, the same family, they have one more brother and that his name is Benjamin.
How well Joseph gets them talking. Then Joseph (peace be upon him) has a camel-load of provisions prepared for Benjamin too and gives it to his brothers. He says: bring me also your brother from your father. “Do you not see, I give full measure” means: I believed your words, and for your brother too I had a camel-load of provisions prepared. I am giving this camel-load for him. I am the best of hosts. That is, I am someone who believes what people say and wants to help all people in need.
I saw that you, too, are strangers. As you are guests in our country, I thought of your comfort and believed your words, he says.
