Tafsir
In order to keep Benjamin by his side and to tell him that he was his brother, Hazrat Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' looked for opportunities and feasted his brothers when they came to him. He also wanted to eat with Benjamin. He took the following measure. He wanted to feast his brothers and make them sit two by two. Since there are eleven brothers and sisters, they will sit two by two, except for the brothers who sit in pairs, Benjamin will be the only one left. He will take Benjamin, who is the only one, with him and make him eat with him. He also wants to make Bünyamin's heart happy and make up for his longing for his brother. For this reason, he makes his brothers sit two by two at the meal. When Benjamin was left alone, he started crying and said that if his brother Yusuf was alive, he would have taken me with him. Then Hadrat Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' took him to his own table and made him sit down.
After dinner, he sends his other brothers in twos to spend the night in their houses. Again Benjamin was left alone. Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm said: There is no second one. He says spend the night with me and takes Benjamin with him.
When Hadrat Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' was alone with Benjamin, he said to his brother: Will you take me as a brother instead of your dead brother Yusuf? As for Benjamin, where is there a brother like you? But you are not the son of my father Yucub and my mother Rahiyah. When Hazrat Yusuf heard this, he cried, got up and hugged Benjamin's neck and said, "I am your brother Yusuf" and introduced himself. And don't be upset that they are harsh with you.
Also, when Hazrat Yusuf was a child, he said not to feel sorry for Benjamin who could not love his other brothers because they did not protect Yusuf and threw him into the well and told their father that he was dead. Allah will bless the end of everyone who surrenders to Allah. He says, "Look, I have become the vizier of Egypt.
Then he offers Benjamin to stay with him for a temporary period of time, which will end very well. He tells his plan to Benjamin. In fact, this plan was revealed by Allah to Prophet Yusuf (peace be upon him). Bünyamin accepts the plan prepared by his brother.
What is said in the video
In verse 69: When they entered Joseph's presence, he took his full brother to himself and said: Know that I am your brother, do not grieve over what they did. Now, just as they did to Joseph (peace be upon him), just as they threw him into the well, out of envy threw him into the well — these are, of course, 10 brothers. Their father, of course, loves Benjamin very much too. In this situation, to Joseph (peace be upon him), this one of course (?), ten brothers, and since this one is separate, they look down on him, they belittle him. So in that complex he is of course grieving. Joseph, in response to this, reveals himself to Benjamin.
What does it say? When they entered Joseph's presence, he took his full brother to himself. That is, he took Benjamin to himself. and know that I am your brother. Do not grieve over what they did, he said. He says this secretly. To Benjamin. They don't know. The other ten brothers don't know. To keep Benjamin with him and to tell him that he is his brother, Joseph (peace be upon him) looks for opportunities. He gives a banquet for the brothers who came to him. He also wants to eat with Benjamin. He takes this measure: he holds a banquet for his brothers and, in pairs, wants to seat them. Since they are 11 brothers, when they are seated in pairs, apart from the brothers sitting in pairs, Benjamin will of course be left alone.
He is left alone. Yes.
Let's fix this part. Sometimes there are (?) and we have them watched. Yes.
Taking the lone Benjamin to his own side, he will have him eat with him, Joseph (peace be upon him). He also wants to win Benjamin's heart and ease his longing for his brother. So he has his brothers seated in pairs for the meal. When Benjamin is left alone, he starts to cry. He says: If my brother Joseph were alive, he would have taken me beside him. Thereupon Joseph (peace be upon him) takes him to his own table and seats him. Yes.
After the meal, his other brothers he sends off in pairs to spend the night in houses. Again Benjamin is left alone. Joseph (peace be upon him) said: this one has no second. You spend the night with me, and he takes Benjamin to himself.
What a fine measure.
When Joseph (peace be upon him) was alone with Benjamin, he said to his brother: in place of your dead brother Joseph, will you take me as a brother? Now he is slowly opening up to him. He doesn't suddenly tell Benjamin: I am your brother Joseph. Yes. Benjamin, for his part: a brother like you, where could one be found? But you are not the son of my father Jacob, born of my mother Rachel, he says. When Joseph hears this, he weeps.
Yes.
He gets up, embraces Benjamin around the neck. He says: I am your brother Joseph. That's when he reveals himself. He reveals himself. And he says: Do not grieve that they treat you harshly. Also, because when Joseph was a child his older brothers did not stand by Joseph and, throwing him into the sheep — the well, told their father he had died, he told Benjamin, who toward the other older brothers could feel no love: do not grieve. Allah makes the end good for everyone who submits to Allah. Look, I have become a vizier in Egypt, he tells Benjamin.
Then to Benjamin, that his end would be very good, he proposes that he stay with him for a temporary time. He explains his plan to Benjamin. In fact this plan was made known by Allah through revelation to Joseph (peace be upon him). Benjamin accepts the plan his older brother prepared. Yes.
What is the plan? The plan. We'll open it up in the next verse ahead.
He'll put the golden bowl into their loads. He'll keep him there as a thief. According to their laws. And they themselves will have to leave their brother behind.
