Joseph's brothers were surprised at the insults of the crier shouting from behind, calling them thieves, and angrily asked the crier, "What are you looking for in us, don't you see that we have just left your presence? We have tied our burden in front of your eyes and we are leaving. They say what do you want from us, you are shouting behind our backs that you are thieves.

Joseph's brothers, turning to them, say: What are you looking for? That is, to those criers: what are you looking for? Joseph's brothers were astonished at the insult of the criers who shouted from behind and made them out to be thieves. And angrily they ask the criers: 'What are you looking for with us? Don't you see that we have only just left your presence, before your eyes we tied our loads and are leaving? What do you want from us? You shout after us that we are thieves, they say.'
