Tafsir
O our father, if you do not believe us, ask the people of the city we are in.
The people of Egypt are witnesses to this. Even ask the caravan among whom we came. Believe that we are telling the truth.
Of course, it will not be easy to break this news to their fathers. Surely they will feel ashamed and difficult because of the promise they had made to their fathers and because they had made Allah a witness between them. And so they get up and leave to come to their father. They left their older brother in Egypt.

Yes, in verse 82 as well: if you wish, ask the city we were in, the people of Egypt, and the caravan we came with. We are truly telling the truth, it says. O our father, if you do not believe us, ask, if you wish, the people of the city we were in. Yes.
