Tafsir
When his relatives and sons, who saw him complaining like this, approached their father with compassion and consoled him, he would say to them in reply: "I only offer my grief and sorrow to Allah. I know what you do not know by revelation from Allah.
In other words, Yakub 'alaihis-salâm' was saying: You do not believe me, but Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' is alive and I will meet him one day, because Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' had a dream in which eleven stars, the sun and the moon prostrated themselves to him. The eleven stars represented the brothers, the sun represented the father and the moon represented the mother. And Ya'qub 'alaihis-salâm was patient with this dream, knowing that Joseph would become a Prophet and grow up in the wisdom of Allah.

named — let us tell you. Jacob says, I only lay my sorrow and grief before Allah, not before you. I lay it before Allah. I am with my Lord, he says. And I know from Allah, through revelation, things you do not know, he said. Yes, he is a prophet after all. When his relatives and sons, who saw Jacob (peace be upon him) lamenting like this, approached their father with compassion and comforted him, Jacob (peace be upon him) answered them: I lay my sorrow and grief only before Allah. I know from Allah, through revelation, what you do not know, he says. Because he is a prophet. And he knows very well that he too is being tested.
In this situation, even if he is being tested, his son is a prophet. because he is a prophet, because Allah made him a prophet, not out of longing for him — let's say not — not out of longing, but out of longing for his being a prophet, we will say. Because Allah created him as a prophet, and His command — the prophet, his son's being a prophet — out of longing for that command of his Lord, he falls into this state toward his son. Look, he does not say Benjamin. Benjamin also stayed there. But what does he say? Oh my Joseph, oh, he says again. He does not say it for Benjamin. So it is not for his Joseph, for his son, but because Allah made him a prophet, because injustice was done to that prophet, that he says, Oh my Joseph, oh. That is: look, out of love for his child, even a prophet said this — it is not in this sense.
Yes, that is, Jacob (peace be upon him) means: you do not believe me, but Joseph (peace be upon him) is alive and one day I will be reunited with him. Because, in a dream Joseph (peace be upon him) saw, 11 stars, the sun and the moon prostrated to him. Yes, the 11 stars represented his brothers, the sun his father, and the moon his mother. And accordingly, since Jacob (peace be upon him) knew that Joseph would become a prophet and would grow up within Allah's wisdom, he was patient.
