They said, “Oh are you indeed Joseph?” And he said, “I am Joseph, and this is my brother. Allah blessed us (by allowing us to reunite). (This is) because Allah does not make the reward go in vain, of those who fear (Allah) and show patience.”
Tafsir
The brothers of Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm', in their excitement and astonishment, said, "Are you really Yusuf?" Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' said, "Yes, I am Yusuf. Then Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' says, "Yes, I am Yusuf" and turns to his brothers and says, "This is my brother Benjamin. When he said that Allah had blessed us to be reunited with each other, they realized that Benjamin was not a thief and that his brother had played this trick on him to keep him with him. While they were happy to be reunited with Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm', they were also ashamed of what they had done to Yusuf. But the joy of reuniting with their brothers outweighs it. Yusuf says to them: Whoever fears Allah and is patient, surely Allah does not waste the reward of those who do good. Allah (swt) has shown Yusuf 'alaihis-salâm' as a good example for mankind with his behavior and actions, and has commanded that lessons should be taken from these events.
What is said in the video
In verse 90: Could it be that you really are Joseph? they said.
Yes, and he: Yes, I am Joseph. And this is my brother; Allah has graciously granted us to be reunited.
For whoever fears Allah and is patient, surely Allah does not let the reward of those who do good go to waste, he said.
This is the reward of truthfulness, the reward of goodness, and finally, of people who, because of their remorse, attained the forgiveness of Allah Almighty, in the end being reunited with one another through their patience. The great mercy of Allah Almighty; events full of great lessons.
In this excitement and bewilderment, the brothers of Joseph (peace be upon him) say: Could it be that you really are Joseph? It is then that Joseph (peace be upon him) says: Yes, I am Joseph. And turning to his brothers: This is my brother Benjamin. When he says: Thus Allah has graciously granted us to be reunited, they also understand that Benjamin was not a thief, that this game was played by his older brother, who resorted to such a trap to keep Benjamin with him. In fact, Jacob (peace be upon him) says to his sons: Under Egypt's laws it was not possible for him to keep Benjamin with him. Under our laws, the one who is the thief, the man who stole, (?) the man can keep with him.
Was it you who said this? says Jacob (peace be upon him). And from this, Jacob (peace be upon him) already becomes suspicious.
While they live the joy of being reunited with Joseph (peace be upon him), at the same time they are ashamed of what they did to Joseph, of what they did to Joseph. But the joy of being reunited with their brother outweighs it. Joseph says to them: Whoever fears Allah and is patient, surely Allah does not let the reward of those who do good go to waste. Thus, through his conduct and behavior, Allah Almighty has shown Joseph (peace be upon him) to people as a fine example, and has commanded that lessons be drawn from these events.
