Translation

(Jacob) said, “I will ask Allah for your forgiveness. Verily, Allah is Ghafoor (Forgiving) and Raheem (the One who very generously accepts repentance).

Tafsir

Ya'qub 'alaihis-salâm said to his sons: He said, "I have forgiven you, and I will ask forgiveness from my Lord for you, for He is forgiving and merciful.

If a man or a father can forgive his children or loved ones for the evil done to him, Allah, the Creator of the whole universe and mankind, will surely forgive His servants who return to Him. Since Allah is perfect and complete, He is of course more merciful and compassionate than human beings, who are created incomplete, because of the sins that people committed in the age of ignorance, when people who commit these sins repent and turn to Allah with a sincere heart, Allah not only forgives people's sins, but also converts this burden of sin into rewards.

What is said in the video

Surah Yusuf, verse 98: Jacob said: I will ask my Lord to forgive you, for He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful. Jacob (peace be upon him) said to his sons: I have forgiven you. And I will ask my Lord to forgive you, for He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful, he said. If a person or a father can forgive the wrongs done to him by his children or by those he loves, then Allah, as the One who created the whole universe and mankind, will surely forgive His servants who turn back to Him. Since Allah is perfect and flawless, more than the imperfectly created human mentioned before acting with mercy and compassion, for the sins people committed in the age of ignorance these people who sinned repent.

(?) when they turn to Allah with their heart, Allah not only forgives people's sins but also changes all of these sins into rewards. Yes.
