Yusuf 103: And regardless of how much you desire, most people will not believe.

Verse 103 of Surah Yusuf However much you strive for it, most people are not going to believe.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) was sent as a mercy to the worlds. He was sent to perfect good character. Gathering all religions in the religion of Islam, and Allah Almighty gathering the Torah, the Psalms and the Gospel in the Quran and sending it as a mercy to the worlds, yet however much you strive over the Holy Quran, even if you do your duty as if it will destroy you, most people are not going to believe, He says. Where does He say this from? In the address Elestü bi-Rabbiküm, when every person, with Allah Almighty, made a covenant, when He wrote their wishes and desires, their aims, for them as destiny, Allah Almighty knows that most of these people will not believe.

And today, with the world population at 7 billion, we know that there are only around 2 billion Muslims. And within the two billion, those who live Islam are so few that you could point them out with a finger. Yes, however much you strive for it, most people are not going to believe. The Prophet (peace be upon him), for people to reach guidance and attain salvation, is a prophet who struggled very hard. For he came as a mercy to the worlds. That is why he wanted all people to be saved, to be saved and attain prosperity. Yes.

But Allah Almighty: My Beloved, however much you strive for it, most of them are not going to believe. From this verse we understand that people (?) with Allah Almighty, when they made a covenant, Allah, who gave these people their own wishes and desires as destiny — such people, however many miracles they see, are not going to believe. For their wishes in pre-eternity have been written for them as destiny, and since, while living in the world, they will desire and want these wishes and desires, people who betray Allah and turn their faces away from Allah are not going to give up their wishes and desires.

For this reason, since they had their own wishes and desires, their aims, written for them as destiny, Allah Almighty placed in them characters that can live those destinies and that will wish and desire. Within those characters, when the time comes, people wish and desire, and Allah Almighty creates causes according to their wishes and desires, and within those causes they receive reward and sin through the actual deeds He asked of the person. Yes, for this reason, that people, despite hearing the truth, turn away from the truth, do not believe in Allah and the hereafter, and moreover ignorantly associate partners with Allah and expect help from idols — since this grieved the Prophet (peace be upon him), Allah Almighty, by way of consoling the Prophet (peace be upon him), sent these verses of His.

Most people are not going to believe, He says. Yes.
