It is Allah who has elevated the sky that you see without columns, who has then enthroned Allah’s Self above the Throne and who has made the sun and the moon obey Allah’s orders. These flow and go until a determined time. Allah is the One who puts in order all matters and explains verses for you to believe with certainty that you will reach your Lord.
Tafsir
By appealing to the human mind, Allah (swt) encourages people to think and reflect. He says, "He who raises the heavens without pillars, and sits on the Throne. He declares that He created the universe with knowledge, built the heavens above us layer by layer, raised each of them a certain amount, and arranged the things between them in a certain order and regularity. And then He has resided from the Throne. In other words, Allah (swt), who does not need His creatures, has left the Throne. This whole universe is surrounded by the Throne. On the other hand, it means the Giver of life to all creation.
(Who subjugated the sun and the moon to His command) Allah has programmed all creatures for their duties. In this respect, it is Allah's knowledge that He has also programmed the sun for its mission, that He has created it with knowledge for the creatures that will benefit from the sunlight, that He has created it with knowledge for the maintenance of the sun, that He has protected the earth from the explosion of the sun and the atomic harmful rays sent to the earth for so long, that it passes through the ozone layer and that the missing part of the sun repairs itself and maintains its mass, this is from Allah's knowledge. Only Allah created this in this way. This is not the work of a human being. It is Allah who has also made the moon subject to His command, who has placed the lunar calendar in the sky and created ranges, months and years.
These things are passing away until a certain time. The meaning of what you say is that everything has an end. When our souls, which were created in the realm of Lahut, are lifted to the realm of Berzah, and according to the covenant made by our soul whose time has come, when our soul has witnessed itself in the world and left, and when there are no souls left to come to the world again, then the Judgment will surely break after that. This is what Allah is referring to. These things are said to flow until a certain time; the knowledge of the Day of Judgment is with Allah, and Allah knows when the Day of Judgment will come. This universe will continue its course until the time of this apocalypse.
(He arranges all things and explains the Verses so that you may believe that you will surely meet your Lord). Allah (swt), addressing the human mind, has proved His existence to mankind with miracles, by showing superhuman events to mankind. Allah, Who programs every work completely and then explains these programmed beings to human beings with Verses, by making His Essence known to human beings so intimately: O people! Behold, your Lord, who created you, makes Himself known to you with His Verses. You will surely appear before Him and meet Him. He has explained everything to you in order that you may believe in it with certainty.
What is said in the video
Allah Almighty, in the second verse, says this. Surah Ar-Ra'd, verse 2. As we said, the verses after this, we said, will prove His existence. That there is no god other than Allah's essence — He will give proof of His existence. It is Allah who raised the heavens that you see without pillars, then made istawa from the Throne, and made the sun and — submit to His command.
Here, figurative meanings, as I said: there is no life in the moon, the sun, the earth, for them to submit. That is, with the power of knowledge, them within His own knowledge and rule, as He wishes, moving them, making them submit to His essence.
Then it is Allah who made istawa from the Throne and made the sun and the moon submit to His command. Each of them runs its course until an appointed time. The appointed time it means here is until the Last Day. Surely this order will break down. With the order breaking down, the Last Hour will come. And this order will not break down at random. It is so calculated, so adjusted, that however many souls Allah Almighty created in the realm of Lahut, that is, however many humans, He made a covenant with them, set the times they will come into the world, and according to their covenants, desires and wishes, raised them to the barzakh.
In the realm of barzakh, when these too have come into the world and proved what kind of person they are, since there is no more soul to come, from the barzakh, the Last Hour coming in the world will fall on that moment. Allah Almighty — whatever His custom was before toward those who know His essence, it is the same in the Hereafter. He calls it the samum wind. He will send a wind of death, and those who say Allah will die in a sleep. And the Last Hour will come upon the others. Yes. Each runs its course until an appointed time. So that you believe with certainty that you will meet your Lord, He arranges every matter and explains the verses, it says.
He arranged every matter. That is, Allah Almighty constantly addresses our reason. Every person who uses his reason: the sun, the earth and the moon turning around each other's axes, and at the same time around their own axes turning — just as it brings about night and day, the seasons, the years, the months it brings about. In that case, Allah Almighty — since there is no life in the sun, the earth and the moon, no soul — that they cannot set up this order by themselves, that the stars in the sky, the galaxies, travel without touching one another — all of it, to people with reason: have you not seen the heavens held up without pillars? What does it say? Who raised the heavens that you see without pillars.
Sir. Then: who made istawa from the Throne. That is, all these seven layers of heavens He created, and the beings created within them, by the Arshullah are surrounded. As to the meaning of Arshullah. Today they say Arshullah, don't they — as to the meaning of Arshullah. This place is a building. In the building there is a first floor, second floor, third floor, fifth floor, sixth floor, seventh floor — there are. Consider the world like that too. That is, not the world — consider the universe like this too. The floors too. Floor upon floor. Just as on one floor there are ten, fifteen, five, seven apartments, Allah Almighty also created the events on the floors.
Seven layers of heavens. That is, this building's seven floors. This building is surrounded all around. Surrounded by walls. Right? Covered by its roof. So when He says Arshullah, it is the Throne that surrounds these seven floors He created, the seven layers of heavens. When He says Arshullah, Allah's Throne, the seven layers of heavens, what is within these seven layers of heavens, these surrounded things, are in the sense of being created by Allah. Arshullah. Yes. Maybe it's understood. I hope I can explain it, inshallah. Very good. Yes. So He also made istawa from the Throne. That is, He also withdrew from the Throne.
Earlier they used to say istila, He conquered it. Istila. As if Allah, struggling and struggling for years, did not create what He created to submit to His essence, but waged war with it and brought it under His rule. In the sense that He withdrew from it too. Finally they corrected it. He made istawa from it too. That is, He separated. Why? He separated. That Allah Almighty is not in need of His creation, that He made His attribute al-Hayy appear, that is, that Allah Almighty is not in need of His creation, and all created beings were created in need of Allah. In this case, by making istawa from His creation, Allah Almighty removes the questions that would come to human minds.
That is, if He were intertwined with His creation, that is, among His creation, people's minds could see something like this: Is He in need of His creation? It does come. But since He surrounded the created with the Arshullah and made istawa from that too, in a place without time and space He establishes His sovereignty. This time, the ignorant among people, because they cannot grasp this, say: does Allah have a sovereignty? You proclaimed a Kursi for Him? they say. And Allah Almighty — the Kursi, the Throne and His Kursi; His Kursi is not above the Throne — doesn't He say above the Throne? Allah's Kursi. Well, what is Allah's Kursi?
What is the Kursi? The place where He is. That is, His desk. And the place where His sovereignty is. Where? Outside time and space. Where it is is not known. Well, wasn't Allah Almighty supposed to be present and watching everywhere? Now if we go into these matters — that the people here are not in a position to grasp this knowledge, the Messenger of Allah too said: speak according to people's mental capacity — that matter (?), but we have to. We have to explain them, but so that they don't say: the Hodja keeps talking and talking, and since he himself can't explain what he says, he skips these parts like this — we will touch on it a little.
We'll touch on it a little. After that we won't open it up.
They ask you about the spirit. Say, My Beloved: it is a command of my Lord. Allah Almighty gave from a part of it to the Prophet (peace be upon him) — of His spirit. Of His spirit, to the Prophet (peace be upon him), He gave of His spirit.
Let's say a part — from that part He creates a prophet. He takes, creates another prophet. From that He takes, creates another prophet. They call this the 124,000 prophets. He creates. All of them the first created. That's why all the prophets say: I am the first of Islam. From where? Because they are the first created from the spirit of the Messenger of Allah. I am the first of Islam. And from their spirits the souls of their peoples were created,
and billions of people, from that single partial spirit of the Messenger of Allah, were created. Indirectly, all were created from the spirit of the Messenger of Allah. In that case, if with one part so many billions of people come into the world, if spirit is created, then since the whole spirit is present everywhere at every moment and is one, would it not be capable of being present in every atom of the universe? Could it not be capable of that?
What comes after this is beyond you now. That's enough. We continue our lesson.
So that you believe with certainty that you will meet your Lord, He arranges every matter and explains the verses, it says.
The meaning here: so that you believe with certainty that you will meet your Lord, it says, arranging every matter. That is, preparing His plans before creating the universe, as a project preparing it and moving it to the implementation phase,
preparing the events to come nicely within a plan, then moving on to creation, with those people making a covenant too, then programming them, and within the program making events appear. Well, look at you. Look at the Hodja. He made Allah like people, too.
Wasn't it that Allah said kun, be, and it was — where did you hide that, Hodja Efendi? Well, if that's how much you understand, with that short mind of yours you'll understand the kun that way too. Allah Almighty: I created the heavens in two days, the earth in two days, and what is between them in two days, He says. Before these worlds were created, that is, before the world was created, if He says I created the heavens in two days, the earths in two days, and what is between them in two days, and if a thousand years of this world are like one day of the Hereafter, He created it in six thousand years.
Allah Almighty. Six thousand years.
In that case, did Allah Almighty do this by chance? He created everything within a framework of knowledge.
He planned everything beforehand. I have such secrets that if I told them, you'd call me mad. This is the secret of the secret. So many creatures were created in the finest way for the duty they were created for, and no creature, regarding the duty it will do, being free of strain, will be able to complain to Allah Almighty. I looked into its secret. But we are not capable of telling it. We can't tell it. Because it is the secret of the secret. There's no permission for it. It is enough for you to know this much.
So, so that you believe with certainty that you will meet your Lord, He arranges every matter and explains the verses. What is arranging? Examining the parts of a piece of work and setting them on a rule. That's what arranging is. Isn't it so? So, arranging what He will do so that no created being sees any deficiency in it, Allah Almighty's arranging and programming the worlds is the counterpart of the verse, there. What does it say? So that you believe in it with certainty — that you will meet your Lord, so that you believe it with certainty, that is, without seeing any deficiency in what We did — look, this was made like this, it would be nicer this way, this really is lacking here — so that you don't say that, for it is beyond human, so that you know that everything from Allah is without deficiency, He arranges every matter and explains it with His verses, it says.
He tells us, shines a light before us. Allah Almighty, addressing human reason, leads people to think and to contemplate. His saying "who raised the heavens without pillars, made istawa from the Throne": that He created the universe with knowledge, that He built the heavens layer upon layer above us, that He raised each by a certain amount, that He arranged what is between them in a certain order and regularity — this it makes known.
And then He made istawa from the Throne. That is, Allah Almighty, who has no need — no need — of His creation, separated from the Throne. This whole universe is surrounded by the Arshullah. In return, it means the One who gives life to all created beings. That is, through the attribute al-Hayy all created beings are in need of Allah, while Allah is not in need of His creation. who made the sun and the moon submit to His command: yes, Allah Almighty programmed all created beings for the duties they will do; in this respect, the sun's — since He programmed the sun for its duty too — that for the living beings that will benefit from sunlight, for the sun's continuance, He created it with knowledge, that for so long He has protected the world from the sun's explosions and its harmful atomic rays sent to the world, that they pass filtered through the ozone layer, and that the sun's depleted part repairs itself and preserves its mass — this is from Allah's knowledge.
Only Allah creates it this way. This is not the work of a mortal. It is Allah who made the moon too submit to His command, who placed the lunar calendar in the sky and created stations, who brings about the months and years. He placed twelve signs of the zodiac in the sky. What are these signs? The earth's entering stations while turning around the sun's axis. What is a station? Covering a distance. For example, let's put it like this: this sun is round; and this, the earth, is shaped like an alif — He didn't make it perfectly round, shaped like an alif; in it He didn't make it perfectly straight, made it a bit curved; the earth, shaped like an alif, while turning around the sun, gets closer to the sun and farther away. So these approachings to the sun and movings away, station by station, are divided into twelve parts. These are called the twelve months.
Twelve months. The earth, as it travels around the sun, drawing near to it and nearer still, staying constant and moving away, the coming about of heat and cold, of the seasons, is within Allah Almighty's knowledge. Which created being could do this?
It is beyond the power and might of created beings. This can only come about by a power, and that is only Allah, who has the power to bring into being from nothing.
Everything has an end. An end. When our souls created in the realm of Lahut are raised to the realm of barzakh, and our soul whose time has come, according to the covenant it gave, has held itself as witness in the world and gone, and when no more souls are left to come into the world, surely after this the Last Hour will come. This is the Last Hour that Allah means. These run until a certain time, He says — the knowledge of when the Hour comes is with Allah. Until the Last Day, when — when the Hour will come, Allah knows best. We cannot know. In a verse Allah Almighty says: My Beloved, they ask you when the Hour will come. As if you knew it, He says, they ask you when it will come, He says. Even the Messenger of Allah does not know.
How do we understand that? As if you knew it, they ask you when the Hour will come, He says. So the knowledge of the Hour's coming is particular to Allah Almighty's essence, among the treasuries of knowledge, within Allah's secret; the keys of the unseen are in Allah's hand, it says. Yes: so that you believe with certainty that you will meet our Lord, He arranges every matter and explains the verses. So Allah Almighty, addressing human reason, has proved His existence to people with miracles, by showing people events beyond the human. The One who programs every matter without deficiency, then explains these programmed beings with verses to people — Allah, making His essence known to people so closely: O people, here, your Lord who created you is, completely, with His verses, making Himself known.
You will surely come before Him and meet Him. So that you believe in this with certainty, by arranging every matter it has been explained to you. It has been explained — Allah Almighty.
This is how He declares it to us.
