Translation

Allah is the One who spread out the earth, who made stable mountains in it, who created rivers, and created pairs of all fruits. And Allah covers the day with the night. Verily, for a nation that contemplates there are lessons in this.

Tafsir

When Allah (swt) created the world, He created it in such a way that it could accommodate human beings and meet their needs. He created all the needs of all living beings in the world, from minerals, fuel, food and clothing. When He says here that He laid the earth and created in it mountains and rivers: The bottoms of the mountains are water reservoirs. When the earth rotates around its axis, the earth is thrown about due to centrifugal force. Because of this centrifugal force, the water reservoirs under the mountains and the mountains are the ones that ensure the balance of the world. He also says in one of His Verses (the mountains are the pillars of the earth).

The one who created the rivers says that Allah created all living things from water. Water is the source of life. In this respect, it reminds us that life is created by water and that it grants life to people with its rivers and lakes.

He is the one who creates fruits in pairs on the earth: Allah is the one who makes the seeds of the fruits and the winds or the flying flies and bees and other winged creatures fertilize the trees and flowers. If it were not for this fertilization, if pairs were not created, that is, if male and female were not created, everything would cease to exist. For the sustenance of His creations, He has created them in pairs and put them at the service and benefit of human beings.

The earth rotates around its axis at a speed of forty thousand kilometers a day, which is calculated to be one thousand six hundred and sixty-six kilometers per hour. With this rotation, gravity is created, and with the rotation of the earth around its axis, day and night are created. With the magnetism placed at the north and south poles of the earth, the same poles repel each other, making the earth rotate around its axis. (Surely there are signs in all this for a thinking people). If Allah creates such clear and obvious superhuman miracles, creates out of nothing, fulfills all needs and puts them at man's disposal, and if man contemplates and ponders their creation, surely this contemplation and pondering will lead him to his Lord and he will find no other choice but to submit to Him in the face of His greatness and power. Allah (swt) reveals His Verses so that a thinking people may learn from them and find their Lord.

What is said in the video

We come to the third verse of Surah Ar-Ra'd.

In its third verse, too: "He who spread out the earth", that is, who spread out the world. Pay attention to the verses: it does not say "earths". There is no plural in any verse. There is "earth". When it says "earth" here, it has several meanings. One: creating people honoured and, so that they prove what kind of people they are, sending them to the world. Earth: the world. Two: His spreading out the earth, placing on the earth whatever people need for their life and sustenance. Had it said "earths", then, besides the world, living in other galaxies, there would also have been beings. Had it said "earths", when He spread out the earths, um, there too, for example, there is life on (?), they say. And this verse would prove that there is life there, that is, that there are humans, or other (?).

According to which verse? "We have made the stars an adornment for you," it says. What is an adornment? It tells us to go up into the sky and search for the stars, that is. "Even if you leave the world to escape death and go to the (?) of the universe, We will still find you there," it says. So we know from this verse that there is life there. Had it said "earths", there would have been life there too. That is, He created humans, and there would be other created beings. Since it says "earth", since He created man as the noblest of created beings, since He made him His addressee and the vicegerent of the earth, then, apart from the world, contrary to what people make up, nowhere are there aliens or any other creatures.

What do they say? Aliens are supposedly more civilized.

Well, if aliens are more civilized, Allah Almighty says, "We have honoured human beings above the worlds." Honoured. It is this human being who was honoured; if the alien is not honoured, how does it have a greater civilization than humans? And if everything wet and dry is in the Quran, if Allah Almighty tells us about all of the past, if He also tells us about the state of the jinn, if He tells us that an unseen jinn, Iblis, rose all the way to being teacher of the noble angels, and that he was then cursed, and that He then created our forefather Adam and made all beings prostrate before him, what kind of alien is this that becomes more civilized than humans?

Sophistries, sophistries, fabrications. Yes. If people had no knowledge, no knowledge of the Quran, and they have already distanced people from the Quran, within their own ideologies, to draw people in and steer them as they wish, they have brought religion, Islam, to such a state, they have brought it to a state of anarchy. Yes, who is responsible for this?

Who is responsible? Those who struggle with one another to grab certain positions. Those who want to trip each other up, become (?) and reach a certain position. If these people at the head of Islam, from whom the whole nation expects fatwas, interpret the Holy Quran amid superstitions, people come to this state, and they take on their burden as well.

Yes.

Arabic will save them.

Yes. The Quran came down in Arabic. It came in Arabic, but a letter can have many meanings. Among those meanings is its true meaning. If you leave its true meaning and put it into this (?), that you do not understand the verses of the Quran, and if, boasting of Arabic as if you knew some great language, you interpret the verses falsely and accuse Allah and His Messenger, if you hurt them, into the state of the verse I read earlier you will fall. May Allah give you good guidance. May He give you good understanding, and may you be freed from the burden of these Muslims.

"He who spread out the earth, and created firm mountains and rivers on it." Created firm mountains and rivers, it says. As I told you earlier, what are firm mountains?

In another verse Allah Almighty says, "The mountains are the pegs of the earth," it says. What is a peg? Isn't it for tying an animal somewhere and holding it? Holding. Or tying the (?) in prison to a stake and keeping them there. That is, the peg. Allah Almighty, too: the world is the pegs of the mountains — if He says the mountains are the pegs of the world, and if He has heaped up the undersides of these mountains as water reservoirs, water reservoirs — "How is that known, Hodja?" Mountains are the highest points of the world, their peaks. And water comes down from there. It comes down from the mountains.

If the undersides of the mountains are water reservoirs, and the world turns on its own axis at one thousand six hundred and sixty-six kilometres an hour, a flinging-out will occur, won't it? If you spin something like this, it gets flung out. As it turns at one thousand six hundred and sixty-six kilometres an hour, in this flinging, with the world's flinging, that is, the mountains' flinging, the flinging of the water reservoirs beneath them, think of it, a mass beyond our imagination, with the world's rotation, being flung by centrifugal force; the atomic tests carried out on this world, any tsunamis, any volcanic (?), any earthquakes will not affect the world, and the world, right up to the Last Day, will turn on its own axis, and, according to the verse "Allah created what He created firm," He will make it manifest.

Well then, if He created it firm, how will the Last Day come?

The Last Day will come. Does the Last Day come upon what was created firm? "You will bring about the Last Day with your own hands," it says. A verse, a verse: with your own hands you will bring it about, it says. Upon this, its (?) layer was pierced. The magnetism at the North Pole is fading. Every year the world turns on its axis one second, two seconds short. I'm not the one saying it. Science knows this. In England, according to (?) calculations, it is plain to see. In a hadith, too, it says: until years pass like months, months like days, days weeks, weeks like hours, the Last Day will not come, it says.

What does this mean? The magnetism placed at the North Pole and the South Pole has been placed in such a mass, in such a millimetric mass, that like poles repel each other and opposite poles attract each other. With like poles repelling each other, the world on its own axis at 1666 km an hour is turning. Well, when the North Pole's magnetism is erased, what does it do? When the magnetism decreases, since the South Pole's magnetism is complete, its repelling force, its repelling force, sir, at the South Pole, since the repelling force decreased, at the North Pole, the repelling force, not the same; the repelling force at the North Pole is decreasing.

Since it stays constant at the South Pole, what happens? It will turn. It will turn. One day it will reach a zero point and turn. It will reach a zero point; from the poles repelling each other it will turn at a zero point. In fact, in a hadith, the sun will set in the west, will rise from the west. That is, the world will turn the other way round. This time, since the pole's repelling force stays the same, one of them stays the same. Since it stays the same, the world on its own axis, out of control, will start to turn. Out of control. It will speed up so much that for example, if its rotation is 1666 kilometres an hour, if it turns 1666 kilometres an hour, it will go up to 2000 an hour, up to 2500, up to 3000, up to 4000.

That is how years will pass like months. Years like months. It will go up to 5,000, up to 6,000, up to 7,000. Whereas what was the world's normal rotation? Because of centrifugal force, on its own axis at 1666 kilometres, at 1666 kilometres, it was steady. What happened in this case? Since the repelling force is constant and the other has decreased, (?) the world on its own axis will turn out of control. And because of this uncontrolled turning, from centrifugal force, the world will explode. Here is a verse for you this time. Verses. "When the mountains pass like clouds," it says. The mountains.

When the seas swell. Where will they swell? "When the earth throws out what is inside it," it says. It exploded. That is, the (?) part. It will make the seas swell. "When the sky flows like molten metal," it says. It broke down, the balance broke down. In the sky it will flow like molten metal. How will it flow? Because of friction. Because of that excessive speed. From that friction it too will flow in the sky like molten metal. And so the Last Day will have come.

Yes. Allah Almighty has told us everything through verses.

Yes.

"Who created firm mountains and rivers on it." Rivers: their flowing down from the mountain tops, from that pointed peak. "And it is He who created all the fruits there in pairs," it says. On earth He has prepared every kind of fruit and flavour that people would need, so as to offer it to them. "He draws the night over the day," it says. Now here He is addressing a people who use their reason. And at the end it says: surely in all this there are lessons for a people who reflect, it says. "It is He who draws the night over the day," it says. If the world turns on its own axis facing the sun in 24 hours, in 24 hours, the part that sees the sun is day.

Then, since it turns continuously, night comes. That is how He draws the night over the day. That is, He tells us that the world turns on its own axis. And in this there are lessons for a people who reflect, it says. When Allah Almighty created the world, He created it so as to house people on it and meet their needs. Everything people need, from minerals, fuel, food, down to the food of all living things, all their needs in the world He has created. Here, "who spread out the earth and created firm mountains and rivers on it", when it says this, beneath the mountains are water reservoirs. When the world turns on its own axis, because of centrifugal force, the world gets flung out.

Because of this centrifugal force, the mountains, with the water reservoirs beneath them, mean those that keep the world in balance. In this verse it says the mountains are the pillars of the world. In one verse it says so. Yes.

When the world turns on its own axis, because of centrifugal force, the world gets flung out. Because of this centrifugal force, the mountains, with the water reservoirs beneath them, mean those that keep the world in balance. In one verse, too, it says the mountains are the pillars of the world. His saying "who created the rivers": Allah created all living things from water. Some say He created everything from water. No. He created living things from water. Water is the life of living things. There are three things: sun, air and water. These sustain living things. When one of them is missing, living things cannot live.

But in terms of creation, living things were created from water.

Water is the air source of living things, the source of life. In this respect it reminds us that life came about through water and that He grants life to man with its rivers and lakes. Without water there is drought everywhere, and what happens? Mesopotamia was once very beautiful, fertile land; then because of drought the people left there, left Mesopotamia. The place called Mesopotamia is, I suppose, between Syria and Turkey, a place lying in between. It seems to me like the Urfa area. The land between the Tigris and the Euphrates. It extends as far as Syrian territory, I suppose. It extends that far. And when these dried up, migration began from there.

Migration. So water is the beginning of everything. Even with Joseph (peace be upon him), according to the dream the king saw, for seven years there will be drought, he says. "Store up the crops you produce during these seven years," he says. "And for seven years you will eat it," he says. Yes.

(?) His saying "He created of the fruits in pairs": the Creator He mentions, with the seeds of the fruits, the winds, or flying insects, bees and other winged creatures, it is also Allah who brings about pollination in trees and flowers. Yes. If there were no such pollination, if things were not created in pairs, that is, not made male and female, everything would (?). So for the continuation of His creations He created His creations in pairs and placed them at man's service and benefit.

His saying "He draws the night over the day": do people not see? The world turns on its own axis at 40 thousand kilometres a day; its hourly speed is calculated at 1666-odd. Through this rotation both gravity comes about, and through turning on its own axis night and day come about. With the magnetism He placed at the world's north and south poles, since like poles repel each other, He makes the world turn around itself. Surely in all this, for a people who reflect, there are lessons. So Allah, so clearly and plainly, brings forth superhuman miracles, creates from nothing, meets all needs without lack, and presents man with (?), and if man reflects and thinks about their creation, then surely this reflection and thinking will lead him to his Lord, and before His majesty and power he will find no other way but to bow to Him.

So that a people who reflect may find their Lord by taking lessons from these, Allah Almighty explains His verses. Then after that, in the next verse, He again gives proof of His own existence.
