Translation

Allah is the One Who shows you the lightning strike while you are in fear and hope, and Allah is Who creates the heavy clouds (loaded with rain).

Tafsir

In every verse, Allah (swt) proves to people that He created the universe with knowledge, that He is a scholar, that He has created superhuman powers and that He is Allah. He wants people to know Him by reminding them of the punishments they will suffer for not believing in Allah and the Hereafter. In this case, He says that He will show you lightning in fear and hope: rain clouds are charged with positive and negative electricity. When they pass close to each other, a current discharge occurs from the positively charged cloud to the negatively charged cloud. In the meantime, a sound occurs, which is called thunder. The light caused by the electric current jumping from these clouds to each other in the form of current is called lightning. Lightning is the harbinger of rain. When lightning strikes, it is accompanied by thunder.

Some people are afraid of this sound and thunder. Others are filled with hope. Because with the rain, crops and nebat, fruits and vegetables will come to life. It is hoped that the rain will fall as it should and not turn into a disaster and destroy the crops. So people watch this event unfold, some with fear and some with hope.

When you say that heavy clouds are formed, you mean that water vapors rise up and become clouds, carrying millions of tons of water on them. If these clouds had left their weight randomly on the cities, they would have flattened them. But it is Allah's mercy on mankind that the clouds carrying water vapor expand and rise lighter than the air, then hit the cold layer, the clouds compress and rain drops fall as mercy on mankind without harming them. Allah is constantly showing His miracles and mercy to people. He is waiting for people to use their intellect to return to Him.

What is said in the video

Surah Ar-Ra'd, verse 12: He is the One who, in fear and hope, shows you the lightning, and who brings the heavy, rain-filled clouds into being.

The essential meaning of this verse: Allah Almighty makes known His wrath alongside His mercy. That lightning and thunder frighten people; Allah Almighty frightening people with hell; and, showing the rains as mercy, that His mercy is abundant, to people He wants to make known. That is the essential meaning. Allah Almighty, to people: that He created the universe with knowledge, that He is All-Knowing, that He created superhuman powers and that He Himself is Allah, in every verse He proves it. Here too, when it says "only He who, in fear and hope, the lightning shows you", only Allah possesses this power.

How does this lightning come about? Plus and minus clouds, as they pass side by side, jump to each other; that is, through current-filled clouds jumping to one another, lightning comes about. If it is stronger, that is the striking of a thunderbolt, by gravity. Some, some say the thunderbolt goes from the ground toward the sky. Yet it cannot possibly be so. Since the earth is negative relative to the positive cloud in the sky, since it neutralizes, it is a flow into the earth. Yes.

That He created the universe with knowledge, superhuman powers: Allah Almighty, that is, the Creator, showing us events in this way, emphasizes that there is no deity other than Allah, here. That He created superhuman powers and that He Himself is Allah, in every verse He proves. In return for people's not believing in Allah and the hereafter, by reminding them of the punishments they will see; with what? We said just now: what is at the root? Instilling fear. A warner with hell if you do not believe in Allah and His Messenger; about the Prophet too it says so: I have sent you as a bearer of good news, a witness and a warner, He says.

Yes. By reminding of the punishments, He wants His essence to be known. In this case, "in fear and hope, the lightning shows you": His saying this: Rain clouds are charged with positive and negative electricity. As they pass near each other, from the positively charged cloud to the negatively charged cloud a current discharge occurs. Meanwhile a sound also arises, and this sound is called thunder. The signal produced by the electric current that (?) from these clouds to one another as a current is called lightning. Lightning flashes are the heralds that rain will fall. Another herald is the winds.

Allah Almighty says in a verse: the winds are sent as forerunners of the rain. Why is the wind sent as the forerunner of rain? Low pressure and high pressure form somewhere. From the low pressure the air rises, and from the high pressure, by the weight of the air, a current arises. A current arises toward the low-pressure side. And so Allah Almighty drives the clouds to whichever side He wills.

Our Lord knows. Yes.

(?) some people are afraid of this sound and the lightning. Others become hopeful. Because with the rain, crops and plants, fruit and vegetables will come to life.

Some are afraid, some become hopeful. His crops will come to life. Who is the one afraid? Those who turn their backs on Allah.

Who is the one hoping? The Muslims. They rejoice.

Yes. Because with the rain, crops and plants, fruit and vegetables will come to life. It is hoped that the rain falls in the right measure and does not turn into a disaster that destroys the harvest. So among people, some with fear, some with hope, are those watching this event until it ends. The decree is Allah's. Yes. When it says "who brings heavy clouds into being": heavy clouds. What are these heavy clouds? They carry raindrops. They carry water vapor. These are in the form of water vapor. Since it is lighter than air, it rises in the sky up to a certain altitude. Up to a certain degree. Then, when it meets a cold layer, because the clouds are compressed into a dense state, raindrops come out from among them.

Now pay attention.

Pay attention to the knowledge and power of Allah Almighty. Those raindrops could also come down on our heads like water poured out of a glass, out of a bucket; they could. Do they? They do.

He created them with such a creation, created them with such knowledge, that each drop's plus and minus frequencies repel each other, and without moving too far apart, attract, and keeping their distance between them, they come down all the way to the ground. Snowflakes are like this too. The shape of one snowflake does not match another snowflake. What does this mean? With our own eyes, that the raindrop is like this too, He shows us. That their frequencies are separate, that they don't touch each other: billions of snowflakes flying about and coming down to the ground without touching each other.

Rains are like this too, He says. The (?) form of this is snow. Before your eyes, every day thousands of miracles appear; you see, yet you do not see, says Allah Almighty. Here is one of His miracles.

Yes, when it says "who brings heavy clouds into being", it is the water vapor rising and turning into clouds, carrying millions of tons of water upon them. If these clouds had dropped their weight randomly on cities, they would have flattened the cities. Yes.

Isn't that so? 80 kilos, 90 kilos fall per square meter. (?) comes down. Floods form. It rains for hours, tons in weight. Let it release this water just as it is.

Yes.

But by Allah's knowledge, the clouds carrying water vapor expand and rise, lighter than air, then hit the cold layer, the clouds are compressed and it rains as drops, as a mercy, without harming people; this again is Allah's mercy to people. Yes. Because He sent us to a hidden world. Where is this hidden world? The world of this earth, where His essence is not seen.

Why is it Allah's mercy to us? Allah sent us to a hidden world. To the realm of mulk, where His essence is not seen, He sent us. Why did He send us here? What is the reason? As we always say, every human being saw his Lord. Since our Lord gave man a portion of His spirit, He did not separate us from His essence in form. This is hard on people. Of course they call us deviant. They say he has lost his way. But this is the truth of the matter. The truth of the matter. No one can prove the opposite of this.

Allah Almighty created our souls. Where? In the realm of Lahut. And when He said "your Lord", there our souls were divided into three groups. There is a verse: Ve kuntüm ezvâcen selâseh. (?) classes. Fe ashâbü'l-meymeneti mâ ashâbü'l-meymeneh: those of the right, good tidings to you. Ve ashâbü'l-meş'emeti mâ ashâbü'l-meş'emeh: those of the left, woe to you. Ve's-sâbikûne's-sâbikûn, ülâike'l-mukarrabûn, fî cennâti'n-naîm. Which it calls a third group, the group of the sâbikûn. There, standing opposite. Opposite. Just so, our Lord, in human form, says: I created you. Elestü bi Rabbiküm, a definite command.

I am your Lord, He says. Beside Him the Prophet too is a witness: yes, this is our Lord, he says. So those who said yes here, and those whom it calls ashâbü'l-meymeneti mâ ashâbü'l-meymeneh, those of the right.

Those who saw Allah Almighty as like themselves and waited for the Lord they expected in their own imagination, ve ashâbü'l-meş'emeti mâ ashâbü'l-meş'emeh, those of the left. O (?), woe to you, it says. Woe to you. In this case, since Allah Almighty is free from deficient attributes (pay attention), since He is free from deficient attributes, according to our covenant there He does not immediately say to us: "you are for paradise, and you are for hell." Why? "How would I know that You are my Lord? You are like me, I see You. If You had sent me to a world where Your essence is not seen, I would have worshipped You there," he says.

This will probably be Surah Al-Ahzab, the 47th verse, probably. Have a look there, Ömer. Sir, with Surah Al-Ahzab it would be 47 too. Look it up. In this case, since Allah Almighty is free from deficient attributes, so that man does not say: "If You had sent me to a hidden world, if You had sent me to a world where Your essence is not seen, I would have worshipped You there." So, come on then, show us.

Whatever covenant you gave there, that covenant of yours, your will, was written for you as destiny. It would be Al-Qasas 47 there. The verse you mentioned would be Al-Qasas 47. What does it say? Not Surah Al-Qasas, rather it would be Al-Qasas 47. Look at Surah Al-Qasas. It will probably be Surah Al-Qasas. In this case, Allah Almighty, us, since He is free from deficient attributes, yes. Look what it says. Because of what they themselves did, that is, because of people's own desires and wishes, when a calamity befalls them, in the world: "Our Lord, if only You had sent us a prophet, so that we would follow Your verses and be among the believers"; if they were not going to say this, We would not have sent you, He says.

He would have sent neither the prophet nor us into the world. Not sending a prophet, He would not have sent us to the world either. Why would He not have sent us? Because of what they themselves did. That is, because of their denying Allah.

"If only You had sent us a prophet": that is, "if You had sent us to a hidden world, and made Yourself known to us there, look how we would have worshipped You"; if We had known you would not say this, He says, We would not have sent you. That is, We would not have sent the prophet. Here these people, in this way, say to Allah Almighty: "You created me like Yourself. I could not know that You are the Lord. If You had sent me to a hidden world, look how I would have worshipped You there." That's what he says. In this case, since Allah Almighty is free from deficient attributes, He sends us to the realm of mulk.

Now I ask. Am I the deviant one? Or those poor people who cannot understand these verses?

You have minds; you decide.

Yes. Those who think they are in some exalted (?), those unaware of the verses, those who know Arabic and fancy themselves the mighty Ali Kıran Baş Kesen, the poor people who see themselves as privileged in religion, from that (?) they have come to relish, from that world of (?), never want to come out. No one is going to force you. Come out if you want, or don't. What is Allah Almighty's duty? To make it heard to you. Look, Surah Al-Qasas, verse 47. He sends prophets. "So are you a prophet?" God forbid, prophethood has ended. After the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace be upon him), there is no prophet. "Then who are you?" According to the verse, we are the heirs of the Prophet.

We are the heirs of the Prophet.

I did not get this inheritance from a school. Nor did I get this inheritance from Ahmet's or Mehmet's diploma. Nor did I reach a certain place through this or that person's title. I struggled with my nafs. I reformed my nafs. I rose to certain stations. I speak with the diploma my Lord has given me.

Yes. If I have a shortcoming, you complete me.
