Ar-Ra'd 18: For those who obey the orders of their Lord, there is the most beautiful (of rewards). And those who do not obey Allah, if they owned everything on earth and had an equal of that in addition, they would certainly give it as ransom (to save themselves). They are the ones for whom there is the worst account. Their destination is the hell, and how wretched a dwelling it is.

For those who obey the orders of their Lord, there is the most beautiful (of rewards). And those who do not obey Allah, if they owned everything on earth and had an equal of that in addition, they would certainly give it as ransom (to save themselves). They are the ones for whom there is the worst account. Their destination is the hell, and how wretched a dwelling it is.
Tafsir
Allah (swt) gives examples of truth and falsehood in the above verse and says that the best reward is for those who obey Allah's command; this is because these rewards are both in this world and in the Hereafter. The reward in the Hereafter is far superior to the reward in this world. These two cannot even be compared with each other. Because the life of the world is fleeting and transient, the rewards of the world come to an end. But the rewards of the Hereafter are permanent and lasting. Allah's reward for people in this world is that He gives them a good understanding, the ability to distinguish right from wrong, and peace of heart. He also endears such servants to other servants and puts the world at their disposal. In the Hereafter, there are endless blessings and the sight of Allah's glory.
As for those who do not follow the Verses of Allah. When they see the punishment in the Hereafter, if they had all that is in the earth and as much more, they would not hesitate to sacrifice it to escape it. For them will be the worst of reckoning. This does not mean that Allah will treat them unjustly. When people do good deeds and report the account of their deeds to the authority for which they are responsible, they are rewarded for their good deeds and for doing things in accordance with what the authority for which they are responsible says. If this person were to do something other than what the authority he is responsible for says, he would be punished for his accountability because he would be doing something other than what the authority he is responsible for says. This punishment is the worst of accounts. The worst of the reckoning is the endless and inexhaustible torment that surrounds the person in the Hereafter.
Hell is the place of torment in the Hereafter. People buy the torment of Hell in this world by disobeying Allah and His Messenger. Their destination is hell, and what an evil bed is hell.
Allah (swt) says, 'What an evil bed is that. A bed is a place of rest and rest, a place of comfort. The bed here refers to hell. It is shown to be his abode there, his permanent place, a place of torment.
What is said in the video
Surah Ar-Ra'd, verse 18. Indeed, for those who obey the command of their Lord there is the finest reward. How beautifully it says this. After giving the examples, For those who obey the command of their Lord there is the finest reward. As for those who do not obey Him, if they had all that is on earth and as much again besides it, look, all of the earth and as much again were theirs, to be saved they would surely give it up as ransom. Where? On the Day of Judgment, when they see that punishment. Those, indeed, will have the worst reckoning. And their abode is Hell. What an evil bed it is, it says.
May Allah protect us. May Allah protect us from such a mindset, from turning our backs on the truth, from approaching Allah's verses with conjectures. Yes.
So Allah Almighty, with the verse above, giving examples of truth and falsehood, says there is the finest reward for those who obey Allah's command; this means these rewards are both in this world and in the hereafter. Both in this world and in the hereafter. Even if there were nothing else, the greatest of rewards is for a person to live in peace. And peace is in Islam, it says. Yes.
The reward of the hereafter, however, is far above the reward of this world. The two cannot even be compared with each other. Because worldly life is transient and temporary, a person's rewards in this world come to an end. But the reward of the life of the hereafter is lasting and everlasting. So even in this world, Allah's reward to people in this world is this: giving them good understanding to separate truth from falsehood, and giving peace of heart. Also, making such servants loved by His other servants and putting the world at their command. In the hereafter there are endless blessings and seeing the beauty of Allah.
As for those who do not follow Allah's verses, when they see the punishment in the hereafter, if all that is on earth and as much again were theirs, to be saved from that punishment they would never hesitate to give it up as ransom. These will have the worst reckoning. The meaning here is not that Allah will treat them unjustly. When people do good work and report the account of their work to the authority they answer to, for the person's good conduct, and when he works in line with what the authority he answers to says, he is rewarded. If this person had done something other than what the authority he answers to said, since he would have acted against what the authority he answers to said, for the account he gives he will be punished. This punishment is the bad reckoning.
The worst of reckonings, though, is that in the realm of the hereafter an endless, unending punishment surrounds the person. Here we have given an example: a manager at a workplace, or a workplace, giving a person a job. And when the person does this job successfully, the one who gave him the job commends him, either rewards him, or gives him an advance, or a bonus. If he harms the workplace, he punishes him too. So with the deeds a person has done by his own partial will, with the rewards and sins earned through his actions, on the Day of Judgment, in the Supreme Court, eleysallahu bi-ahkemi'l-hâkimîn, Allah, the Judge of judges, according to His verse saying that on that day judgment belongs to Allah alone, having no partner, no spouse and no equal; on that day, as judgment belongs to Allah alone, the decision He will give is between His two lips.
No one can overturn the decision He will give.
Hodja, have you really lost your way, saying "between His two lips"? Yes. It is exactly like the human. Because He gave man from His part. "When I breathed from My spirit," it says. To whom? To Mary. "From His spirit," it says. To whom? To Adam.
Yes.
There is a lot to be said here.
We swallowed it. On with our lesson.
These people probably likened me to the hodja outside. Yes. That's how they liken me anyway. You know, like learning from one another outside. Or they think I'm a person who speaks by his own reason. I don't speak by my own reason. Are you crazy? I speak with the inspiration given to me. With inspiration. And I speak under the (?) of the verses. So a person speaking on his own is one thing.
Someone making him speak is another.
Someone hands someone a text. The person reads that text. The one reading it, reading that text, does not do so of himself. It is the giver making him read it. I don't read from myself.
I read what is given to me.
You probably witness this too. With those coming from right and left.
A person's mind isn't a library, after all, that you'd keep pulling things out of that library and say them. Yes.
So in the life of the hereafter, Hell is the place of punishment. Hell is a place of punishment. While in the world, by opposing Allah and His Messenger, people are buying the punishment of the life of Hell. Their abode is Hell. What an evil mattress that Hell is. Allah Almighty says: what an evil bed it is. Well, Hodja, which one here says mattress and which says bed? Both have the same meaning. A mattress is a bed, and a bed is a mattress. Yes.
Some comparisons are brought, in a way people will understand. We too say some words within other words. Many people call a bed a mattress. We explain in their language, in the language of "bed". Fill it up, I'm coming.
So in the life of the hereafter, Hell is a place of punishment. While in the world, by opposing Allah and His Messenger, people are buying the punishment of the life of Hell. Their abode is Hell. What an evil mattress that Hell is. Allah Almighty says: what an evil bed it is. A bed is a person's place of rest and relaxation. It is where he is at ease. But by the bed here, Hell is meant. His place there, his permanent abode, a place where he will suffer punishment: that is how it is shown.
Yes.
